Sáng Thế 42
1 Nghe nước Ai Cập có lúa, Gia-cốp bảo các con: “Sao các con cứ ngồi đó, nhịn đói mà nhìn nhau?
And he saw Jacob that there [was] grain in Egypt and he said Jacob to sons his why? are you looking at one another.
2 Này, cha nghe bên Ai Cập có bán lúa, các con qua đó mua, để chúng ta khỏi chết.”
And he said here! I have heard that there [is] grain in Egypt go down there towards and buy grain for us from there so we may live and not we will die.
3 Mười người anh Giô-sép lên đường qua Ai Cập mua lúa.
And they went down [the] brothers of Joseph ten to buy grain grain from Egypt.
4 Gia-cốp không cho Bên-gia-min, em Giô-sép, đi theo các anh, vì sợ bị nguy hiểm.
And Benjamin [the] brother of Joseph not he sent Jacob with brothers his for he said lest it should happen to him harm.
5 Vậy, các con trai Ít-ra-ên đến Ai Cập mua lúa cùng với bao nhiêu người khác, vì xứ Ca-na-an cũng bị đói lớn.
And they came [the] sons of Israel to buy grain in among those coming for it was the famine in [the] land of Canaan.
6 Lúc ấy, Giô-sép làm tể tướng nước Ai Cập, kiêm việc bán lúa cho dân chúng. Các anh Giô-sép đến quỳ gối, sấp mình xuống đất trước mặt ông.
And Joseph he [was] the ruler over the land he [was] the [one who] sold grain to all [the] people of the land and they came [the] brothers of Joseph and they bowed down to him face [the] ground towards.
7 Thấy họ, Giô-sép nhận ra ngay nhưng giả vờ không biết và gay gắt hỏi: “Các anh ở đâu tới?” Họ đáp: “Chúng tôi từ Ca-na-an đến mua lúa.”
And he saw Joseph brothers his and he recognized them and he acted as a stranger to them and he spoke with them harsh and he said to them from where? have you come and they said from [the] land of Canaan to buy food.
8 Dù Giô-sép biết họ, họ vẫn không nhận ra ông.
And he recognized Joseph brothers his and they not they recognized him.
9 Nhớ lại giấc mơ về các anh ngày trước, ông quát: “Các anh làm gián điệp, đến đây do thám đất nước ta.”
And he remembered Joseph the dreams which he had dreamed of them and he said to them [are] spies you to see [the] nakedness of the land you have come.
10 Họ phân trần: “Thưa ngài, các đầy tớ ngài đây chỉ đến mua lương thực.
And they said to him no O lord my and servants your they have come to buy food.
11 Chúng tôi đều là anh em ruột, thuộc gia đình lương thiện, không phải là gián điệp.”
All of us [are] sons of a man one we [are] honest we not they are servants your spies.
12 Giô-sép quả quyết: “Không, các anh chỉ đến đây do thám để biết rõ nhược điểm của đất nước này.”
And he said to them In-deed [the] nakedness of the land you have come to see.
13 Họ lại thưa: “Các đầy tớ ngài đây gồm mười hai người, anh em cùng cha, quê tại Ca-na-an. Hiện người út ở nhà với cha, còn một người mất tích.”
And they said [are] two [plus] ten servants your brothers - we sons of a man one in [the] land of Canaan and there! the young [brother] [is] with father our this day and the one not [is] he.
14 Giô-sép đáp: “Như ta đã nói, các anh làm gián điệp.
And he said to them Joseph it [is that] which I said to you saying [are] spies you.
15 Đây là cách ta thử các anh. Ta thề trên mạng sống của vua Pha-ra-ôn, các anh chẳng được rời khỏi Ai Cập nếu em út các anh không đến đây.
By this you will be tested [by] [the] life of Pharaoh if you will go out from here that except when comes brother your young here.
16 Một người trong các anh phải trở về đem em út đến, còn tất cả sẽ bị giam vào ngục. Ta sẽ kiểm chứng lời khai của các anh. Nếu nói dối, chắc hẳn các anh là gián điệp.”
Send of yourselves one so he may fetch brother your and you be imprisoned so they may be tested words your ¿ [is] truth with you and if not [by] [the] life of Pharaoh for [are] spies you.
17 Sau đó, Giô-sép giam họ trong ngục ba ngày.
And he removed them to custody three days.
18 Ngày thứ ba, Giô-sép bảo họ: “Ta kính sợ Đức Chúa Trời, nên ta sẽ đối xử khoan hồng với các anh.
And he said to them Joseph on the day third this do and live God I [am] fearing.
19 Nếu các anh lương thiện, ta chỉ giam giữ một người, còn tất cả được về nhà, mang theo lương thực nuôi gia đình.
If [are] honest you brother your one let him be imprisoned in [the] house of custody your and you go take [the] grain of [the] hunger of households your.
20 Sau đó, các anh phải trở lại đây với người em út để xác nhận lời khai của các anh. Nếu các anh nói thật, các anh sẽ được trả tự do.” Họ vâng lệnh Giô-sép.
And brother your young you will bring to me so they may be verified words your and not you will die and they did so.
21 Các anh em bảo nhau: “Chúng ta mắc họa vì có tội với em chúng ta. Lúc nó đau khổ tuyệt vọng van xin, chúng ta đã chẳng thương xót.”
And they said each to brother his indeed [are] guilty - we on brother our who we saw [the] distress of self his when sought favor he to us and not we listened there-fore it has come to us the distress this.
22 Ru-bên trách: “Tôi đã bảo đừng hại đứa trẻ mà các chú không nghe. Bây giờ chúng ta phải trả nợ máu.”
And he answered Reuben them saying ¿ not did I say to you - saying may not you sin against the boy and not you listened and also blood his here! [is] being required.
23 Họ không ngờ Giô-sép nghe và hiểu, vì lúc nói chuyện ông vẫn dùng người thông dịch.
And they not they knew that [was] hearing Joseph for the interpreter [was] between them.
24 Giô-sép bước ra ngoài khóc; sau đó ông quay lại và sai người trói Si-mê-ôn trước mặt họ.
And he turned away from with them and he wept and he returned to them and he spoke to them and he took from with them Simeon and he bound him to eyes their.
25 Ông ra lệnh cho đầy tớ đổ lúa vào bao các anh, để bạc lại trong mỗi bao, cũng cấp thêm lương thực đi đường.
And he commanded Joseph and people filled vessels their grain and to return silver their each to sack his and to give to them provision[s] for the journey and someone did for them thus.
26 Các anh em chất lúa trên lưng lừa và lên đường.
And they lifted grain their on donkeys their and they went from there.
27 Đến quán trọ, một người mở bao lúa cho lừa ăn, thấy bạc mình trong miệng bao,
And he opened the one sack his to give fodder to donkey his at the lodging place and he saw silver his and there! it [was] in [the] mouth of sack his.
28 liền gọi các anh em: “Này, sao người ta để bạc của tôi lại trong bao?” Họ kinh sợ, run rẩy, và bảo nhau: “Đức Chúa Trời làm gì cho chúng ta vậy?”
And he said to brothers his it has been returned silver my and also here! in sack my and it went out heart their and they trembled each to brother his saying what? this has he done God to us.
29 Họ về nhà Gia-cốp, cha mình, tại xứ Ca-na-an, và tường trình mọi việc:
And they came to Jacob father their [the] land of towards Canaan and they told to him all the [things which] had happened to them saying.
30 “Tể tướng nước Ai Cập nói rất gay gắt, tình nghi chúng con làm gián điệp.
He spoke the man [the] lord of the land with us harsh and he made us like [those who] spy out the land.
31 Chúng con thưa: ‘Chúng tôi là người lương thiện, không phải gián điệp.
And we said to him [are] honest we not we are spies.
32 Chúng tôi có mười hai người, anh em cùng cha, một người mất tích, người út ở nhà với cha, tại xứ Ca-na-an.’
[are] two [plus] Ten we brothers sons of father our the one not [is] he and the young [brother] this day [is] with father our in [the] land of Canaan.
33 Tể tướng bảo chúng con: ‘Đây là cách ta xét lời khai các anh. Hãy để một người ở đây làm con tin, còn các anh đem lương thực về nuôi gia đình.
And he said to us the man [the] lord of the land by this I will know that [are] honest you brother your one leave with me and [the] hunger of households your take and go.
34 Sau đó, các anh đưa em út đến để chứng tỏ các anh lương thiện, không làm gián điệp. Ta sẽ thả người kia và các anh được tự do đến xứ này mua lúa.’”
And bring brother your young to me so let me know that not [are] spies you that [are] honest you brother your I will give to you and the land you will go about in.
35 Khi các anh em mở bao đổ lúa ra, họ thấy bạc mỗi người vẫn còn trong bao; cả nhà đều sợ hãi.
And it was they [were] emptying sacks their and there! each man [the] bag of silver his [was] in sack his and they saw [the] bags of silver their they and father their and they were afraid.
36 Gia-cốp than trách: “Chúng mày làm mất con tao—Giô-sép và Si-mê-ôn—bây giờ còn muốn đem Bên-gia-min đi nữa. Sao tao khổ quá thế này!”
And he said to them Jacob father their me you are making childless Joseph not [is] he and Simeon not [is] he and Benjamin you will take on me they are all of them.
37 Ru-bên thưa: “Nếu con không đem em về, xin cha cứ giết hai đứa con của con. Cha giao em cho con, con xin chịu trách nhiệm.”
And he said Reuben to father his saying two of sons my you will kill if not I will bring him to you put! him on hand my and I I will bring back him to you.
38 Gia-cốp đáp: “Con tao sẽ không đi với chúng mày đâu. Anh nó chết, tao chỉ còn một mình nó. Nếu nó bị nguy hiểm dọc đường, lão già này sẽ sầu khổ mà chết.” (Sheol h7585)
And he said not he will go down son my with you for brother his he has died and he to only him [is] remaining and it will happen to him harm on the journey which you will go on it and you will cause to go down gray hair my in sorrow Sheol towards. (Sheol h7585)
