1 Tối hôm ấy, hai thiên sứ đến cổng thành Sô-đôm và gặp Lót đang ngồi tại đó. Thấy họ đến, Lót đứng dậy nghênh đón và sấp mình xuống đất.
and to come (in): come two [the] messenger: angel Sodom [to] in/on/with evening and Lot to dwell in/on/with gate Sodom and to see: see Lot and to arise: rise to/for to encounter: meet them and to bow face land: soil [to]
2 Lót mời: “Thưa hai ngài, kính mời hai ngài đến nhà tôi nghỉ tạm đêm nay. Sáng mai, hai ngài có thể dậy sớm lên đường.” Họ đáp: “Cám ơn ông, tối nay chúng tôi ở ngoài phố cũng được.”
and to say behold please lord my to turn aside: turn aside please to(wards) house: home servant/slave your and to lodge and to wash: wash foot your and to rise (and to go: went *LAH(b)*) to/for way: journey your and to say not for in/on/with street/plaza to lodge
3 Vì Lót sốt sắng mời mọc nên rốt cuộc họ về nhà Lót. Lót dọn tiệc lớn khoản đãi, có cả bánh không men.
and to press in/on/with them much and to turn aside: turn aside to(wards) him and to come (in): come to(wards) house: home his and to make to/for them feast and unleavened bread to bake and to eat
4 Nhưng trước khi họ chuẩn bị đi nghỉ thì những người đàn ông Sô-đôm, từ trẻ đến già, của khắp thành lũ lượt kéo đến vây quanh nhà.
before to lie down: lay down and human [the] city human Sodom to turn: surround upon [the] house: home from youth and till old all [the] people from end
5 Chúng gọi Lót ra chất vấn: “Hai người khách vào nhà anh khi tối ở đâu? Đem họ ra cho chúng ta hành dâm!”
and to call: call out to(wards) Lot and to say to/for him where? [the] human which to come (in): come to(wards) you [the] night to come out: send them to(wards) us and to know [obj] them
6 Lót ra khỏi nhà, sập cửa lại,
and to come out: come to(wards) them Lot [the] entrance [to] and [the] door to shut after him
7 và nói với họ: “Anh em ơi, đừng làm điều ác đó!
and to say not please brother: male-sibling my be evil
8 Tôi có hai con gái chưa chồng. Tôi sẽ dẫn chúng ra cho anh em muốn làm gì mặc ý; nhưng xin đừng làm hại hai người kia, vì họ đã đến tá túc dưới mái nhà tôi.”

9 Bọn chúng nói: “Lui ra! Tên này đến đây kiều ngụ mà nay dám giở giọng quan tòa! Ta phải xử tội mày nặng hơn hai người kia!” Chúng xông lên ép Lót vào cửa và làm cửa gần bật tung.
and to say to approach: approach further and to say [the] one to come (in): come to/for to sojourn and to judge to judge now be evil to/for you from them and to press in/on/with man in/on/with Lot much and to approach: approach to/for to break [the] door
10 Nhưng hai thiên sứ đưa tay kéo Lót vào nhà, đóng cửa lại,
and to send: reach [the] human [obj] hand their and to come (in): bring [obj] Lot to(wards) them [the] house: home [to] and [obj] [the] door to shut
11 và làm cho đoàn dân Sô-đôm đang vây quanh bị mù mắt, tìm cửa vào không được.
and [obj] [the] human which entrance [the] house: home to smite in/on/with blindness from small and till great: large and be weary to/for to find [the] entrance
12 Hai thiên sứ hỏi Lót: “Gia đình ông đủ mặt ở đây chưa? Hãy đem con rể, con trai, con gái, và người nhà ra khỏi đây lập tức.
and to say [the] human to(wards) Lot still who? to/for you here son-in-law and son: child your and daughter your and all which to/for you in/on/with city to come out: send from [the] place
13 Chúng ta sắp tiêu diệt thành, vì tiếng kêu ai oán đã thấu đến tai Chúa Hằng Hữu nên Ngài sai chúng ta xuống thực thi án phạt.”
for to ruin we [obj] [the] place [the] this for to magnify cry their with face: before LORD and to send: depart us LORD to/for to ruin her
14 Lót chạy ra báo tin cho hai rể hứa: “Hai con phải đi khỏi thành ngay! Chúa Hằng Hữu sắp tiêu diệt thành này.” Nhưng hai người ấy tưởng Lót nói đùa.
and to come out: come Lot and to speak: speak to(wards) son-in-law his to take: marry daughter his and to say to arise: rise to come out: come from [the] place [the] this for to ruin LORD [obj] [the] city and to be like/as to laugh in/on/with eye: appearance son-in-law his
15 Trời gần sáng, hai thiên sứ hối thúc Lót: “Nhanh lên! Hãy đem vợ và hai con gái ra khỏi đây lập tức, kẻo ông bị tiêu diệt chung với thành này!”
and like [the] dawn to ascend: dawn and to hasten [the] messenger: angel in/on/with Lot to/for to say to arise: rise to take: take [obj] woman: wife your and [obj] two daughter your [the] to find lest to snatch in/on/with iniquity: punishment [the] city
16 Thấy Lót chần chờ, hai thiên sứ nắm tay Lót và vợ con ông, kéo ngay ra khỏi thành, đưa đến chỗ an toàn, vì Chúa Hằng Hữu thương xót họ.
and to delay and to strengthen: hold [the] human in/on/with hand his and in/on/with hand woman: wife his and in/on/with hand two daughter his in/on/with compassion LORD upon him and to come out: send him and to rest him from outside to/for city
17 Một thiên sứ bảo họ: “Chạy nhanh lên kẻo mất mạng! Đừng ngoảnh lại hay ngừng lại bất cứ đâu ở đồng bằng. Hãy trốn ngay lên núi, kẻo bị vạ lây!”
and to be like/as to come out: send they [obj] them [the] outside [to] and to say to escape upon soul: life your not to look after you and not to stand: stand in/on/with all [the] talent [the] mountain: mount [to] to escape lest to snatch
18 Lót thưa: “Ôi, thưa ngài, không được đâu.
and to say Lot to(wards) them not please Lord
19 Hai ngài đã thương tình cứu mạng tôi, nhưng tôi sợ chạy lên núi không kịp. Tai họa ấy xảy ra, tôi làm sao thoát chết?
behold please to find servant/slave your favor in/on/with eye: seeing your and to magnify kindness your which to make: do with me me to/for to live [obj] soul: life my and I not be able to/for to escape [the] mountain: mount [to] lest to cleave me [the] distress: harm and to die
20 Nhìn kìa, có một thành nhỏ gần đây. Xin cho tôi đến ẩn náu trong thành nhỏ đó. Như thế, tôi mới mong bảo toàn mạng sống.”

21 Thiên sứ đáp: “Được, ta chấp thuận lời ông xin và không tiêu diệt thành nhỏ đó đâu.
and to say to(wards) him behold to lift: kindness face: kindness your also to/for word: thing [the] this to/for lest to overturn I [obj] [the] city which to speak: speak
22 Phải nhanh lên, vì ta không hành động được cho đến khi ông vào thành đó.” (Từ ngày ấy, người ta gọi thành này là Xoa, nghĩa là “thành nhỏ.”)

23 Mặt trời vừa mọc, Lót chạy đến nơi và vào thành Xoa.
[the] sun to come out: (sun)rise upon [the] land: country/planet and Lot to come (in): come Zoar [to]
24 Chúa Hằng Hữu lập tức cho mưa lửa và diêm sinh từ trời đổ xuống thiêu đốt Sô-đôm, Gô-mô-rơ, luôn cả các thành phố, làng mạc trong đồng bằng đó.
and LORD to rain upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from with LORD from [the] heaven
25 Tất cả đều chết cháy: Người, cây cối, và súc vật.
and to overturn [obj] [the] city [the] these and [obj] all [the] talent and [obj] all to dwell [the] city and branch [the] land: soil
26 Nhưng vợ ông Lót ngoảnh lại nhìn và biến thành một pho tượng muối.
and to look woman: wife his from after him and to be garrison salt
27 Áp-ra-ham dậy sớm và đi đến chỗ ông gặp Chúa Hằng Hữu hôm trước.
and to rise Abraham in/on/with morning to(wards) [the] place which to stand: stand there with face: before LORD
28 Ngước lên nhìn về phía Sô-đôm, Gô-mo, và vùng đồng bằng, ông thấy khói đen kịt như khói lò lửa lớn cuồn cuộn tỏa lên trời.
and to look upon face: before Sodom and Gomorrah and upon all face: before land: country/planet [the] talent and to see: see and behold to ascend: rise smoke [the] land: country/planet like/as smoke [the] kiln
29 Khi Đức Chúa Trời tiêu diệt các thành phố vùng đồng bằng, Ngài vẫn nhớ đến Áp-ra-ham và cứu Lót thoát khỏi cái chết rùng rợn của người Sô-đôm.
and to be in/on/with to ruin God [obj] city [the] talent and to remember God [obj] Abraham and to send: depart [obj] Lot from midst [the] overthrow in/on/with to overturn [obj] [the] city which to dwell in/on/with them Lot
30 Sợ ở Xoa không yên, Lót dẫn hai con gái lên núi, tạm trú trong một hang đá.
and to ascend: rise Lot from Zoar and to dwell in/on/with mountain: mount and two daughter his with him for to fear to/for to dwell in/on/with Zoar and to dwell in/on/with cave he/she/it and two daughter his
31 Một hôm, đứa chị bảo em: “Cha đã già và bây giờ trai tráng trong vùng đều chết hết, không còn ai đến lập gia đình với chị em mình.
and to say [the] firstborn to(wards) [the] little father our be old and man nothing in/on/with land: country/planet to/for to come (in): come upon us like/as way: conduct all [the] land: country/planet
32 Ta chỉ còn cách chuốc rượu cho cha và thay nhau ngủ với cha để lưu truyền dòng giống cho cha.”

33 Đêm ấy, hai cô chuốc rượu cho cha, và cô chị vào ngủ với cha; nhưng cha say quá, không biết lúc nào nó nằm xuống và lúc nào nó trở dậy.
and to water: drink [obj] father their wine in/on/with night he/she/it and to come (in): come [the] firstborn and to lie down: have sex [obj] father her and not to know in/on/with to lie down: have sex she and in/on/with to arise: rise she
34 Hôm sau, cô chị bảo em: “Này, hôm qua chị đã ngủ với cha. Đêm nay ta lại chuốc rượu cho cha, và em vào để làm việc lưu truyền dòng giống cho cha!”
and to be from morrow and to say [the] firstborn to(wards) [the] little look! to lie down: have sex last night [obj] father my to water: drink him wine also [the] night and to come (in): come to lie down: have sex with him and to live from father our seed: children
35 Đêm ấy, hai cô lại cho cha uống rượu, và cô em vào ngủ với cha, nhưng cha không biết lúc nào nó nằm xuống và lúc nào nó trở dậy.
and to water: drink also in/on/with night [the] he/she/it [obj] father their wine and to arise: rise [the] little and to lie down: have sex with him and not to know in/on/with to lie down: have sex she and in/on/with to arise: rise she
36 Vậy, hai con gái của Lót do cha ruột mà mang thai.
and to conceive two daughter Lot from father their
37 Cô chị sinh một con trai và đặt tên Mô-áp. Ông là tổ phụ của dân tộc Mô-áp ngày nay.
and to beget [the] firstborn son: child and to call: call by name his Moab he/she/it father Moab till [the] day: today
38 Cô em cũng sinh con trai và đặt tên Bên Am-mi. Ông là tổ phụ của dân tộc Am-môn ngày nay.
and [the] little also he/she/it to beget son: child and to call: call by name his Ben-ammi Ben-ammi he/she/it father son: descendant/people Ammon till [the] day: today
