Ê-xơ-ra 3
1 Đến tháng bảy, người Ít-ra-ên vừa hồi hương từ các nơi kéo về Giê-ru-sa-lem.
And it arrived the month seventh and [the] people of Israel [were] in the cities. And they gathered the people like a man one to Jerusalem.
2 Thầy Tế lễ Giê-sua, con Giô-xa-đác, các thầy tế lễ khác, Xô-rô-ba-bên, con Sa-anh-thi-ên, và các anh em ông cùng nhau xây lại bàn thờ cho Đức Chúa Trời của Ít-ra-ên. Họ dâng lễ thiêu trên ấy, đúng theo Luật Môi-se, người của Đức Chúa Trời quy định.
And he arose Jeshua [the] son of Jozadak and brothers his the priests and Zerubbabel [the] son of Shealtiel and brothers his and they rebuilt [the] altar of [the] God of Israel to offer up on it burnt offerings according to [what] is written in [the] law of Moses [the] man of God.
3 Họ dựng bàn thờ đúng vào vị trí cũ, dâng lễ thiêu buổi sáng và buổi chiều cho Chúa Hằng Hữu. Tuy nhiên họ cũng lo ngại các dân tộc khác đến quấy nhiễu.
And they established the altar on foundations its for terror [was] on them from [the] peoples of the lands (and they offered up *Q(K)*) on it burnt offerings to Yahweh burnt offerings of the morning and of the evening.
4 Họ cử hành lễ Lều Tạm như sách Luật dạy, dâng đúng số lễ thiêu phải dâng mỗi ngày.
And they celebrated [the] festival of booths according to [what] is written and a burnt offering of a day in a day by number according to [the] ordinance of [the] matter of a day in day its.
5 Sau đó, họ dâng lễ thiêu thường lệ, lễ vật ngày trăng non và các ngày lễ khác của Chúa Hằng Hữu. Lễ vật tự nguyện của toàn dân cũng được dâng lên Chúa Hằng Hữu.
And after this a burnt offering of continuity and for the new moons and for all [the] appointed times of Yahweh consecrated and for every [one who] offered a freewill offering to Yahweh.
6 Như thế họ bắt đầu dâng lễ thiêu lên Chúa Hằng Hữu, mặc dù lúc ấy nền đền thờ chưa đặt.
From day one of the month seventh they began to offer up burnt offerings to Yahweh and [the] temple of Yahweh not it was founded.
7 Họ dùng tiền mướn thợ nề, thợ mộc; dùng thức ăn, thức uống, và dầu trả cho người Si-đôn và Ty-rơ, để những người này chở gỗ bá hương từ Li-ban đến cảng Gióp-ba, như được quy định trong sắc lệnh của Si-ru, hoàng đế Ba Tư.
And people gave money to the masons and to the craftsmen and food and drink and oil to the Sidonians and to the Tyrians to bring wood of cedar from Lebanon to [the] sea of Joppa according to [the] permission of Cyrus [the] king of Persia to them.
8 Công cuộc kiến trúc Đền Thờ của Đức Chúa Trời thực sự bắt đầu vào tháng hai, hai năm sau khi họ trở về Giê-ru-sa-lem. Mọi người đều bắt tay vào việc, từ Xô-rô-ba-bên, con Sa-anh-thi-ên, Giê-sua, con Giô-xa-đác, với các anh em thầy tế lễ, và người Lê-vi, cùng tất cả những người Ít-ra-ên đã hồi hương. Những người Lê-vi từ hai mươi tuổi trở lên được chỉ định trông coi thợ làm việc.
And in the year second of coming their to [the] house of God to Jerusalem in the month second they began Zerubbabel [the] son of Shealtiel and Jeshua [the] son of Jozadak and [the] rest of brothers their - the priests and the Levites and all those [who] had come from the captivity Jerusalem and they appointed the Levites from a son of twenty year[s] and up-wards to act as overseers over [the] work of [the] house of Yahweh.
9 Còn Giê-sua với các con và anh em ông, Cát-mi-ên và các con, con cháu Giu-đa, con cháu Hê-na-đát và bà con ông là người Lê-vi đều cùng chịu trách nhiệm tổng quát điều hành công cuộc tái thiết đền thờ của Đức Chúa Trời.
And he stood Jeshua sons his and brothers his Kadmiel and sons his [the] sons of Judah as one to act as overseers over [the] doer of the work on [the] house of God. [the] sons of Henadad sons their and brothers their the Levites.
10 Khi đặt nền Đền Thờ của Đức Chúa Trời, các thầy tế lễ mặc lễ phục đứng thổi kèn; người Lê-vi thuộc dòng A-sáp đánh chập chõa tôn vinh Chúa Hằng Hữu theo nghi thức đã được Vua Đa-vít quy định.
And they founded the builders [the] temple of Yahweh and they appointed the priests fully clothed with trumpets and the Levites [the] sons of Asaph with cymbals to praise Yahweh on [the] hands of David [the] king of Israel.
11 Họ hát đối đáp để tôn vinh, cảm tạ Chúa Hằng Hữu: “Chúa là thiện mỹ! Ngài thương yêu Ít-ra-ên đến muôn đời!” Rồi toàn dân đồng thanh reo lớn lên, tôn vinh Chúa Hằng Hữu vì nền móng Đền Thờ Chúa Hằng Hữu đã đặt.
And they sang with praising and with giving thanks to Yahweh for [he is] good for for ever covenant loyalty his [is] towards Israel and all the people they shouted (a shout of joy *LB(ah)*) great with praising Yahweh because it was founded [the] house of Yahweh.
12 Nhưng có nhiều thầy tế lễ, người Lê-vi, trưởng tộc, và những bậc lão thành đã từng thấy Đền Thờ trước kia trên nền cũ, đó mới chính thật là Đền Thờ theo mắt họ, khóc lớn tiếng, trong khi nhiều người khác reo lớn tiếng vui mừng.
And many of the priests and the Levites and [the] heads of the fathers old who they had seen the house first when founded it this the house with own eyes their [were] weeping with a voice great and many [people] with a shout of joy with gladness to lift up a voice.
13 Cho nên người ta không thể phân biệt tiếng reo vui với tiếng khóc, vì dân chúng kêu lớn tiếng, từ xa vẫn nghe được.
And not the people [were] recognizing [the] sound of [the] shout of happiness to [the] sound of [the] weeping of the people for the people [were] shouting a shout of joy great and the sound it was heard to from a distance.
