Ê-xê-ki-ên 7
1 Chúa Hằng Hữu phán cùng tôi sứ điệp này:
And the word of the Lord came to me, saying:
2 “Hỡi con người, đây là điều Chúa Hằng Hữu Chí Cao phán về đất Ít-ra-ên: Sự tận cùng đã đến! Bất cứ nơi nào ngươi thấy— đông, tây, bắc, hay nam— đất nước ngươi đã chấm dứt
“And as for you, son of man: Thus says the Lord God to the land of Israel: The end is coming, the end is coming, over the four regions of the earth.
3 Hy vọng không còn tồn tại, vì Ta sẽ trút đổ cơn giận Ta lên ngươi. Ta sẽ đoán phạt ngươi về mọi điều gớm ghiếc mà ngươi đã làm.
Now the end is over you, and I will send my fury upon you. And I will judge you according to your ways. And I will place all your abominations before you.
4 Ta sẽ quay mặt và chẳng chút tiếc thương. Ta sẽ báo trả những việc gớm ghiếc ngươi đã làm. Lúc đó ngươi sẽ biết Ta là Chúa Hằng Hữu.
And my eye will not be lenient over you, and I will not take pity. Instead, I will set your ways upon you, and your abominations will be in your midst. And you shall know that I am the Lord.”
5 Chúa Hằng Hữu Chí Cao phán: Tai họa tiếp nối tai họa sẽ liên tục đến với ngươi!
Thus says the Lord God: “One affliction, behold, one affliction is approaching.
6 Hồi kết cuộc đã đến. Kỳ cuối cùng đã đến. Sự chết cuối cùng đang chờ đợi ngươi!
The end is coming, the end is coming. It has been vigilant against you. Behold, it is approaching.
7 Hỡi cư dân Ít-ra-ên, ngày tai họa của ngươi đã đến. Giờ đã tới; ngày hoạn nạn đã gần. Tiếng khổ não sẽ vang trên các ngọn núi, thay cho tiếng reo vui.
Destruction is coming over you, who live upon the earth. The time is approaching, the day of slaughter is near, and it is not of the glory of the mountains.
8 Ta sẽ sớm đổ cơn giận Ta lên ngươi, trút cơn giận Ta trên ngươi. Ta sẽ đoán xét ngươi theo những việc gớm ghiếc ngươi đã làm.
Now, very soon, I will pour out my wrath upon you, and I will fulfill my fury in you. And I will judge you according to your ways, and I will set upon you all your crimes.
9 Ta sẽ quay mặt khỏi ngươi chẳng chút xót thương. Ta sẽ hình phạt ngươi vì những việc ghê tởm ngươi đã làm. Rồi ngươi sẽ biết Ta là Chúa Hằng Hữu, Đấng đã phạt ngươi.
And my eye will not be lenient, nor will I take pity. Instead, I will place your ways upon you, and your abominations will be in your midst. And you shall know that I am the Lord, who is striking.
10 Ngày phán xét đã tới, nỗi bất hạnh đang chờ ngươi! Sự gian ác và kiêu ngạo của loài người đã trổ đầy hoa.
Behold, the day! Behold, it approaches! Destruction has gone forth, the rod has blossomed, arrogance has germinated.
11 Sự cường bạo dâng cao thành cây gậy để trừng phạt kẻ ác. Không một người gian ác và kiêu căng nào còn tồn tại. Tất cả của cải và sự giàu sang đều sẽ bị quét sạch.
Iniquity has risen up into a rod of impiety. There shall be nothing left of them, and of their people, and of the sound of them. And there shall be no rest for them.
12 Phải, giờ đã tới; ngày đã gần! Người mua chớ vui, người bán chớ buồn, vì tất cả các ngươi sẽ ngã gục dưới cơn giận khủng khiếp của Ta.
The time is approaching; the day is very near. Whoever buys should not rejoice. And whoever sells should not mourn. For wrath is over all of their people.
13 Dù nếu người bán mong sống sót, họ cũng sẽ không chuộc lại được vật mình đã bán. Vì những gì Đức Chúa Trời đã áp dụng cho mọi người— sẽ không thay đổi! Bởi tội lỗi đầy dẫy, chẳng ai bảo toàn được mạng sống.”
For whoever sells will not return to what he has sold, but as yet their life will be among the living. For the vision concerning their entire multitude will not turn back. And man will not be strengthened in the iniquity of his life.
14 “Tiếng thổi kèn động viên quân đội Ít-ra-ên, nhưng không ai nghe, vì cơn giận Ta giáng trên chúng.
Sound the trumpet! Let everyone be prepared! And yet there is no one who may go to battle. For my wrath is over all their people.
15 Chiến tranh bên ngoài thành, dịch bệnh và đói kém bên trong. Những ai ở ngoài thành sẽ bị gươm kẻ thù giết. Những ai ở trong thành sẽ bị nạn đói và bệnh dịch hủy diệt.
The sword is outside, and the pestilence and the famine are inside. Whoever is in the field will die by the sword. And whoever is in the city will be devoured by the pestilence and the famine.
16 Người nào trốn được lên núi sẽ rên rỉ như bồ câu, than khóc về tội lỗi mình.
And those who flee from among them will be saved. And they will be among the mountains, like doves in steep valleys, with every one of them trembling, each one because of his iniquity.
17 Mọi bàn tay đều trở nên yếu đuối, đầu gối lỏng lẻo như nước.
All hands will be weakened, and all knees will flow with water.
18 Chúng sẽ mặc áo tang; tràn ngập kinh hãi và nhục nhã. Đầu tóc cạo trọc, trong buồn phiền và hối hận.
And they will wrap themselves with haircloth, and dread will cover them. And shame will be upon every face, and baldness will be upon all of their heads.
19 Chúng ném bạc ngoài đường, vàng trở thành ô uế. Vì bạc và vàng sẽ không cứu được chúng khỏi ngày thịnh nộ của Chúa Hằng Hữu. Nó cũng chẳng thỏa mãn cơn đói, vì lòng tham lam của chúng đưa chúng vào tội lỗi.
Their silver will be thrown away, and their gold will be like a dunghill. Their silver and their gold will have no power to free them in the day of the fury of the Lord. They will not satisfy their soul, and their bellies will not be filled, because of the scandal of their iniquity.
20 Chúng hãnh diện về những đồ trang sức lộng lẫy đẹp đẽ và dùng những vật đó để chế tạo thần tượng ghê tởm. Vì thế, Ta sẽ khiến tất cả của cải của chúng thành đồ ô uế.
And they have set arrogance as the ornament of their necklaces, and they have made images of their abominations and graven idols. Because of this, I have let it be an uncleanness for them.
21 Ta sẽ ban cho người nước ngoài và kẻ gian ác lấy những thứ đó làm chiến lợi phẩm và làm chúng nhơ bẩn.
And I will give it into the hands of foreigners as a spoil, and to the impious of the earth as a prey, and they will defile it.
22 Ta sẽ xây mặt khỏi chúng, để bọn trộm cướp làm nhơ nhớp và ô uế đất quý giá của Ta.
And I will avert my face from them, and they will violate my place of mystery. And untamed persons will enter into it, and they will defile it.
23 Hãy chuẩn bị xiềng xích, vì đất này tràn ngập tội ác đẫm máu. Giê-ru-sa-lem đầy dẫy việc bạo tàn.
Cause it to be closed. For the land has been filled with the judgment of blood, and the city is full of iniquity.
24 Ta sẽ đem những kẻ xấu xa nhất từ nước ngoài đến chiếm đóng nhà chúng. Ta sẽ đập nát thành kiêu ngạo của chúng và làm hoen ố các thánh tích của chúng.
And I will lead in the most sinful among the Gentiles, and they will possess their houses. And I will cause the arrogance of the powerful to be quieted. And they will possess their sanctuaries.
25 Sự kinh hoàng và run sợ sẽ tràn ngập trên dân Ta. Chúng tìm kiếm bình an, nhưng không được.
When anguish overwhelms them, they will seek peace, and there will be none.
26 Tai ương dồn dập; hoạn nạn chồng chất. Chúng sẽ thất vọng vì khải tượng của các thầy tế lễ. Nhưng thầy tế lễ quên hết luật lệ, người già cả chẳng ai sáng suốt.
Disturbance will follow after disturbance, and rumor after rumor. And they will seek the vision of the prophet, and the law will perish from the priest, and counsel will perish from the elders.
27 Vua và các quan tướng sẽ bơ vơ, than khóc trong tuyệt vọng, và tay của dân chúng sẽ run rẩy trong sợ hãi. Ta sẽ báo trả chúng những việc ác chúng đã làm, và chúng sẽ nhận hình phạt tùy theo tội của chúng. Rồi chúng sẽ biết Ta là Chúa Hằng Hữu.”
The king will mourn, and the prince will be clothed with grief, and the hands of the people of the earth will be greatly disturbed. I will act toward them in accord with their own way, and I will judge them in accord with their own judgments. And they shall know that I am the Lord.”
