Ê-xê-ki-ên 5
1 “Hỡi con người, hãy lấy thanh gươm sắc và dùng nó làm dao cạo tóc và râu của con. Dùng cân để cân tóc chia làm ba phần đều nhau.
Thou therefore son of man Take thee a sharp cutting instrument, a barber’s razor, shalt thou take thee, and shalt cause it to pass upon thy head and upon thy chin, —and shalt take the balances for weighing, and shalt divide the hair.
2 Đặt một phần ba tóc vào giữa bản đồ Giê-ru-sa-lem. Sau khi những ngày vây hãm chấm dứt, hãy đốt phần tóc đó. Rải một phần ba tóc khác ngang qua bản đồ và băm tóc bằng gươm. Một phần ba tóc còn lại rải tản mác theo làn gió thổi, vì Ta sẽ phân tán chúng bằng gươm.
A third part in the fire, shalt thou burn in the midst of the city, when the days of the siege are fulfilled, —and thou shalt take a third part, thou shalt smite it with the cuting instrument round about it, and a third part, shalt thou scatter to the wind, and, a sword, will I, make bare after them;
3 Hãy giữ lại một ít tóc buộc vào tà áo.
and thou shalt take from thence, a few in number, —and shalt bind them in thy skirts;
4 Rồi lấy vài sợi ném vào lửa, đốt cháy chúng. Lửa sẽ lan ra từ những sợi tóc đó và thiêu hủy cả nhà Ít-ra-ên.
and of them, again take, and cast them into the midst of the fire, and burn them in the fire, -therefrom, shall go forth a fire unto all the house of Israel.
5 Đây là điều Chúa Hằng Hữu Chí Cao phán: Đây là một minh họa về việc sẽ xảy ra cho Giê-ru-sa-lem. Ta đặt nó vào giữa các nước,
Thus, saith My Lord, Yahweh, This, is Jerusalem, In the midst of the nations, I placed her, — and of the countries round about her;
6 nhưng nó đã phản nghịch chống lại luật lệ và sắc lệnh Ta, còn ác hơn cả những dân tộc chung quanh. Nó từ khước không sống theo các luật lệ và sắc lệnh mà Ta cho nó.
But she hath changed my regulations into lawlessness, more than the nations, And my statutes more than the countries which are round bout her, For my regulations, have they rejected, And in my statutes, have they not walked.
7 Vì thế, đây là điều Chúa Hằng Hữu Chí Cao phán: Ngươi đã ăn ở tồi tệ hơn các dân tộc khác và không chịu vâng giữ sắc lệnh và luật lệ Ta. Thậm chí, ngươi sống cũng không bằng tiêu chuẩn của các nước chung quanh ngươi.
Therefore, Thus saith My Lord, Yahweh. Because ye have become more rebellious than the nations who are round about you, In my statutes, have not walked. And my regulations, have not done, And according to the regulations of the nations which are round about you, have not done:
8 Cho nên, chính Ta, Chúa Hằng Hữu Chí Cao, sẽ chống lại ngươi. Ta sẽ hình phạt ngươi công khai cho các dân tộc chứng kiến.
Therefore, Thus, saith My Lord Yahweh, Lo! I am against thee, even I, Therefore will I, execute in thy midst, judgments, in the eyes of the nations;
9 Vì tội lỗi khủng khiếp của ngươi, Ta sẽ hình phạt ngươi điều Ta chưa hề làm, và sẽ không bao giờ làm nữa.
Yea I will execute upon thee that which I have not executed, And like unto which I will not execute again, - Because of all thine abominations.
10 Cha mẹ sẽ ăn thịt chính con cái mình, và con cái sẽ ăn thịt cha mẹ mình. Ta sẽ hình phạt ngươi và phân tán theo gió những ai còn sống sót.
Therefore, fathers will eat sons in thy midst, And sons will eat fathers, — And I will execute upon thee judgments, And will scatter the whole remnant of thee, to every wind.
11 Thật như Ta hằng sống, Chúa Hằng Hữu Chí Cao quả quyết, Ta sẽ tận diệt ngươi. Ta sẽ không tỏ chút lòng thương tiếc vì ngươi đã làm nhơ bẩn Đền Thờ Ta bằng những ảnh tượng ghê tởm và tội lỗi gớm ghiếc.
Therefore as I live, Declareth My Lord Yahweh, — Surely because my sanctuary, thou hast defiled, with all thy detestable things, and with all thine abominations Even I also, will cut off, and mine eye, shall not spare, Yea even I will not pity.
12 Một phần ba dân ngươi sẽ chết trong thành vì dịch bệnh và đói kém. Một phần ba bị giết bằng gươm quân thù bên ngoài thành. Và một phần ba sẽ bị phân tán theo gió, vì Ta cho gươm đuổi theo chúng.
The third part of thee by pestilence, shall die, and by famine, be consumed in thy midst And the third part by the sword, shall fall round about thee, - And the third part to every wind, will I scatter, and a sword, will I make bare after them.
13 Cuối cùng, cơn giận Ta sẽ được giải tỏa, và Ta sẽ thỏa mãn. Và khi cơn giận Ta lắng xuống, tất cả người Ít-ra-ên sẽ biết rằng Ta, Chúa Hằng Hữu, đã phán với chúng trong cơn giận khủng khiếp.
So shall mine anger have an end, And I will cause mine indignation, to find rest, upon them, and will console myself, - And they shall know that, I, Yahweh, have spoken in my jealousy, when mine indignation hath come to an end, upon them.
14 Ta sẽ làm cho ngươi ra hoang tàn, là sự nhạo báng trong mắt các nước chung quanh và cho những ai đi ngang qua đó.
And I will deliver thee up to desolation and reproach, among the nations that are round about thee, —in the eyes of every passer-by.
15 Ngươi sẽ trở nên đề tài chế giễu, mắng nhiếc, và ghê tởm. Ngươi sẽ là gương để cảnh cáo các dân tộc chung quanh ngươi. Chúng sẽ thấy điều xảy ra khi Chúa Hằng Hữu hình phạt một dân tộc trong cơn thịnh nộ và khiển trách, Chúa Hằng Hữu phán vậy.
So shall it become a reproach and an insult a warning and an astonishment, to the nations that are round about thee, —in that I have executed upon thee judgments in anger and in indignation and in rebukes of indignation, I, Yahweh have spoken:
16 Ta sẽ bắn mũi tên đói kém tiêu diệt ngươi. Nạn đói sẽ ngày càng trầm trọng cho đến lúc ngươi không còn bánh ăn.
In that I have sent the malignant arrows of famine among them which were for destruction, which I will send to destroy you, —and famine, will I increase upon you, and will break for you the staff of bread.
17 Cùng với nạn đói, Ta sẽ sai thú dữ đến tấn công ngươi, cướp ngươi và con cái ngươi. Dịch bệnh và chiến tranh tàn phá xứ ngươi, và Ta sẽ đưa gươm của quân thù đến tận diệt ngươi. Ta, Chúa Hằng Hữu, phán vậy!”
So will I send upon you famine and mischievous beast and they shall bereave thee, —and pestilence and blood, shall pass through thee, —and a sword, will I bring in upon thee, I Yahweh, have spoken.
