Ê-xê-ki-ên 38
1 Chúa Hằng Hữu truyền sứ điệp này cho tôi:
And the word of Jehovah came to me, saying,
2 “Hỡi con người, hãy hướng mặt về đất Ma-gót mà nói tiên tri nghịch với Gót vua của Mê-siếc và Tu-banh.
Son of man, set thy face toward Gog, of the land of Magog, the ruler of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal, and prophesy against him.
3 Hãy truyền cho nó sứ điệp của Chúa Hằng Hữu Chí Cao: Hỡi Gót, Ta chống lại ngươi!
And say, Thus says the lord Jehovah: Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, ruler of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal.
4 Ta sẽ quay ngươi lại và câu móc sắt vào hàm ngươi, kéo ngươi cùng với toàn quân—tức đoàn kỵ mã và kỵ binh mang áo giáp, một đoàn binh đông đảo đầy thuẫn lớn, thuẫn nhỏ, hết thảy đều cầm gươm.
And I will turn thee about, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed in full armor, a great company with buckler and shield, all of them handling swords,
5 Quân đội Ba Tư, Cút, và Phút đều mang cả khí giới liên minh với ngươi.
Persia, Cush, and Put with them, all of them with shield and helmet,
6 Gô-me và đội quân của nó cũng liên kết với ngươi, cùng với đội quân của Tô-ga-ma từ miền bắc xa xăm, và nhiều đội quân khác nữa.
Gomer, and all his hordes, the house of Togarmah in the outermost parts of the north, and all his hordes, even many peoples with thee.
7 Hãy chuẩn bị; sẵn sàng chiến đấu! Ngươi hãy làm tướng chúng nó.
Be thou prepared. Yea, prepare thyself, thou, and all thy companies that are assembled to thee, and be thou a guard to them.
8 Sau nhiều ngày ngươi sẽ được lệnh chiến đấu. Đến những năm cuối cùng, ngươi sẽ tấn công vào vùng đất Ít-ra-ên, đất nước đang hưởng thái bình thịnh vượng sau khi dân chúng từ nhiều nước trở về những đồi núi của Ít-ra-ên.
After many days thou shall be visited. In the latter years thou shall come into the land that is brought back from the sword, that is gathered out of many peoples, upon the mountains of Israel, which have been a continual waste, but it is brought forth out of the peoples, and they shall dwell securely, all of them.
9 Ngươi và các nước liên minh—một đội quân hùng hậu và kinh khiếp—sẽ ầm ầm tấn công chúng như vũ bão và vây phủ chúng như đám mây.
And thou shall ascend. Thou shall come like a storm. Thou shall be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy hordes, and many peoples with thee.
10 Đây là điều Chúa Hằng Hữu Chí Cao phán: Đến ngày đó, những ý tưởng gian ác sẽ đến trong trí ngươi, và ngươi sẽ nảy ra một ý đồ độc ác.
Thus says the lord Jehovah: It shall come to pass in that day, that things shall come into thy mind, and thou shall devise an evil plan.
11 Ngươi sẽ nói: ‘Ít-ra-ên là một nước không được bảo vệ, đầy những làng mạc không có tường bao bọc! Ta sẽ đem quân chống lại nó và tiêu diệt dân tộc tự tin ngây ngô ấy!
And thou shall say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages. I will go to those who are at rest, who dwell securely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,
12 Ta sẽ đi đến những thành phố trước kia hoang vắng mà nay đầy ắp người từ các nước lưu đày trở về. Ta sẽ đoạt lấy những chiến lợi phẩm, vì bây giờ dân chúng có nhiều của cải và bầy súc vật cùng nhiều tài sản khác. Chúng nghĩ mình là trung tâm của các nước.’
to take the spoil and to take the prey, to turn thy hand against the waste places that are now inhabited, and against the people who are gathered out of the nations, who have gotten cattle and goods, who dwell in the middle of the earth.
13 Nhưng Sê-ba, Đê-đan, và các thương gia ở Ta-rê-si sẽ hỏi: ‘Có phải ngươi nghĩ đội quân mà ngươi tập hợp có thể chiếm đoạt bạc và vàng không? Lẽ nào ngươi nghĩ rằng ngươi có thể lấy các bầy gia súc, tịch thu hàng hóa, và các chiến lợi phẩm?’
Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions of it, shall say to thee, Have thou come to take the spoil? Have thou assembled thy company to take the prey, to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take great spoil?
14 Cho nên, hỡi con người, hãy nói tiên tri cùng Gót. Hãy truyền cho vua ấy sứ điệp của Chúa Hằng Hữu Chí Cao: Khi dân Ta an cư lạc nghiệp, thì ngươi bất ngờ vùng dậy.
Therefore, son of man, prophesy, and say to Gog, Thus says the lord Jehovah: In that day when my people Israel dwell securely, shall thou not know it?
15 Ngươi đến từ quê nhà ở phương bắc xa xôi với đoàn kỵ binh đông đảo và đội quân hùng mạnh của mình,
And thou shall come from thy place out of the outermost parts of the north, thou, and many peoples with thee, all of them riding upon horses, a great company and a mighty army.
16 ngươi tấn công Ít-ra-ên, dân Ta, và bao trùm trên chúng như mây phủ. Trong thời kỳ cuối cùng, Ta sẽ đem ngươi tấn công vào đất Ta để mọi người nhìn thấy, và đức thánh khiết của Ta sẽ được bày tỏ qua những điều xảy ra cho ngươi, hỡi Gót. Khi ấy mọi dân tộc sẽ biết Ta là Chúa Hằng Hữu.
And thou shall come up against my people Israel, as a cloud to cover the land. It shall come to pass in the latter days, that I will bring thee against my land, that the nations may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes.
17 Đây là điều Chúa Hằng Hữu Chí Cao hỏi: Có phải từ xưa, Ta đã nói về ngươi; Ta đã công bố qua các tiên tri Ít-ra-ên rằng trong thời kỳ cuối cùng, Ta sẽ đem ngươi đến đánh dân Ta?
Thus says the lord Jehovah: Are thou he of whom I spoke in old time by my servants the prophets of Israel, who prophesied in those days for many years that I would bring thee against them?
18 Nhưng đây là điều Chúa Hằng Hữu Chí Cao phán: Khi Gót tiến đánh xứ Ít-ra-ên, thì cơn giận Ta sẽ sôi sục lên!
And it shall come to pass in that day, when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, says the lord Jehovah, that my wrath shall come up into my nostrils.
19 Cơn thịnh nộ Ta bùng cháy, lửa ghen Ta bốc lên phừng phừng, nên Ta hứa sẽ có một cơn chấn động lớn tại Ít-ra-ên trong ngày đó.
For I have spoken in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath. Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel,
20 Tất cả loài sinh sống—các loài cá biển, chim trời, thú đồng, và loài bò sát cùng toàn thể loài người sống trên đất—sẽ run sợ khi thấy mặt Ta. Các núi đồi bị lật nhào; các vách đá đều sụp đổ; các tường lũy thành quách đều bị san bằng.
so that the fishes of the sea, and the birds of the heavens, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men who are upon the face of the earth, shall shake at my presence. And the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.
21 Ta sẽ gọi gươm chống nghịch nó từ khắp núi đồi của Ít-ra-ên, Chúa Hằng Hữu Chí Cao phán. Mọi người sẽ dùng gươm chống lại anh em mình.
And I will call for a sword against him to all my mountains, says the lord Jehovah. Every man's sword shall be against his brother.
22 Ta sẽ hình phạt ngươi và đội quân của ngươi bằng dịch bệnh và đổ máu; Ta sẽ giáng những trận mưa kinh hoàng, mưa đá lớn, lửa, và diêm sinh!
And I will enter into judgment with him with pestilence and with blood. And I will rain upon him, and upon his hordes, and upon the many peoples who are with him, an overflowing shower, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone.
23 Bằng cách này, Ta sẽ chứng tỏ quyền năng vĩ đại và thánh khiết của Ta, và mọi dân tộc trên thế giới sẽ biết Ta là Chúa Hằng Hữu.”
And I will magnify myself, and sanctify myself, and I will make myself known in the eyes of many nations. And they shall know that I am Jehovah.
