Phục Truyền Luật Lệ 34

1 Từ đồng bằng Mô-áp, Môi-se leo lên Đỉnh Phích-ga của Núi Nê-bô, đối diện Giê-ri-cô. Chúa Hằng Hữu chỉ cho ông xem toàn miền đất hứa, từ Ga-la-át cho đến đất của Đan;

So then Moses went up, from the waste plains of Moab into Mount Nebo, the head of Pisgah, which is over against Jericho, —and Yahweh showed him all the land—even Gilead as far as Dan;

2 đất của Nép-ta-li; đất của Ép-ra-im và Ma-na-se; đất của Giu-đa chạy dài tận Địa Trung Hải,

and all Naphtali, and the land of Ephraim and Manasseh, —and all the land of Judah, as far as the hinder sea;

3 vùng Nê-ghép và miền đồng bằng, Thung lũng Giê-ri-cô—thành Cây Chà Là—và cuối cùng là Xoa.

and the South, —and the circuit of the valley of Jericho, the city of palm trees as far as Zoar.

4 Chúa Hằng Hữu phán bảo ông: “Đây chính là đất Ta hứa cho con cháu Áp-ra-ham, Y-sác, và Gia-cốp. Ta đã cho con xem, nhưng con sẽ không được vào đất ấy.”

And Yahweh said unto him—This, is the land which I sware to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying, Unto thy seed, will I give it. I have let thee see with thine own eyes, But thither, shalt thou not pass over.

5 Vậy Môi-se, đầy tớ Chúa, qua đời trong đất Mô-áp, như Chúa Hằng Hữu đã phán.

So Moses, the servant of Yahweh, died there, in the land of Moab, at the bidding of Yahweh;

6 Ngài chôn ông tại một thung lũng đối ngang Bết Phê-o, thuộc đất Mô-áp. Nhưng không ai biết đích xác chỗ táng xác ông.

and he buried him, in a valley in the land of Moab, over against Beth-peor, —but no man hath known his burying-place, until this day.

7 Môi-se qua đời lúc ông được 120 tuổi, nhưng mắt ông không làng, sức ông không giảm.

Now, Moses, was a hundred and twenty years old, when he died, —his eye had not dimmed, nor had his freshness fled.

8 Toàn dân Ít-ra-ên khóc thương Môi-se tại đó suốt ba mươi ngày.

And the sons of Israel bewailed Moses in the waste plains of Moab thirty days, —then were completed the wailing-days of the mourning for Moses.

9 Giô-suê, con của Nun, được đầy Thần khôn ngoan, vì Môi-se có đặt tay trên ông. Dân chúng đều vâng phục ông và làm đúng theo mọi điều Chúa Hằng Hữu truyền dạy Môi-se.

But, Joshua, son of Nun, was full of the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands upon him, —so the sons of Israel hearkened unto him, and did, as Yahweh commanded Moses.

10 Về sau, trong toàn dân Ít-ra-ên chẳng bao giờ còn xuất hiện một nhà tiên tri nào giống như Môi-se, được Đức Chúa Trời quen biết và thường xuyên gặp mặt như thế.

And there arose not a prophet any more in Israel, like unto Moses, —whom Yahweh acknowledged, face to face;

11 Không ai sánh được với Môi-se, về các dấu kỳ phép lạ Chúa Hằng Hữu sai ông thực hiện trong nước Ai Cập, trước mặt Pha-ra-ôn, tất cả quần thần, và cả xứ.

by all the signs and the wonders which Yahweh sent him to do in the land of Egypt, —unto Pharaoh and unto all his servants and unto all his land;

12 Với năng quyền vĩ đại, Môi-se đã bày tỏ những việc lớn lao và đáng sợ cho toàn dân Ít-ra-ên.

and by all the firm hand, and by all the great terror which Moses wrought in the sight of all Israel.
