Phục Truyền Luật Lệ 33
1 Trước khi qua đời, Môi-se, người của Đức Chúa Trời, chúc phước lành cho Ít-ra-ên như sau:
Nowe this is the blessing wherewith Moses the man of God blessed the children of Israel before his death, and said,
2 “Chúa Hằng Hữu đến với dân mình tại Núi Si-nai và Núi Sê-i-rơ, Ngài chiếu sáng từ Núi Pha-ran. Chúa đến với muôn nghìn vị thánh, lửa bốc cháy từ tay phải Ngài.
The Lord came from Sinai, and rose vp from Seir vnto them, and appeared clearely from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of Saints, and at his right hand a firie Lawe for them.
3 Ngài yêu quý dân mình. Các thánh của Chúa được tay Ngài bảo bọc.
Though hee loue the people, yet all thy Saints are in thine handes: and they are humbled at thy foete, to receiue thy words.
4 Luật lệ Chúa do đầy tớ Ngài truyền lại, là một kho tàng của nhà Gia-cốp.
Moses commanded vs a Lawe for an inheritance of the Congregation of Iaakob.
5 Khi các nhà lãnh đạo của dân hội họp, khi các đại tộc quy tụ một nơi, Chúa đã đăng quang trị vì cả quốc dân Ít-ra-ên.”
Then he was among the righteous people, as King, when the heades of the people, and the tribes of Israel were assembled.
6 Môi-se nói về đại tộc Ru-bên: “Xin cho Ru-bên sống mãi muôn đời, cho con cháu họ đông như sao trời.”
Let Reuben liue, and not die, though his men be a small nomber.
7 Môi-se nói về đại tộc Giu-đa: “Chúa ôi! Xin nghe lời kêu cầu của Giu-đa, đem họ về với dân mình, dùng đôi tay bảo vệ mình; giúp họ chiến đấu chống quân thù.”
And thus he blessed Iudah, and said, Heare, O Lord, the voyce of Iudah, and bring him vnto his people: his hands shalbe sufficient for him, if thou helpe him against his enemies.
8 Về đại tộc Lê-vi, Môi-se chúc: “Xin giao Thu-mim của Chúa cho Lê-vi, và U-rim cho những người đầy lòng tin kính, vì Chúa đã thử họ tại Ma-sa và Mê-ri-ba.
And of Leui he said, Let thy Thummim and thine Vrim be with thine Holy one, whome thou diddest proue in Massah, and didst cause him to striue at the waters of Meribah.
9 Một lòng tôn trọng giao ước Chúa, quyết tâm vâng giữ lời Ngài dạy. Nên họ dám sẵn lòng coi nhẹ, anh em, con cái, và cha mẹ.
Who said vnto his father and to his mother, I haue not seene him, neither knewe he his brethren, nor knewe his owne children: for they obserued thy word, and kept thy couenant.
10 Họ sẽ dạy cho Gia-cốp luật lệ, thắp hương, dâng lễ thiêu trên bàn thờ Chúa.
They shall teach Iaakob thy iudgements, and Israel thy Lawe: they shall put incense before thy face, and the burnt offring vpon thine altar.
11 Xin Chúa giúp cho họ thịnh vượng, chấp nhận các công việc họ làm cho Ngài. Xin đánh nát hông kẻ thù và người ghét họ, khiến chúng nó không ngóc đầu lên nổi.”
Blesse, O Lord, his substance, and accept the worke of his handes: smite through ye loynes of them that rise against him, and of them that hate him, that they rise not againe.
12 Môi-se chúc đại tộc Bên-gia-min như sau: “Người được Chúa yêu quý sẽ sống an ninh bên Ngài. Chúa bảo bọc người mãi mãi, vì Ngài ngự trên người.”
Of Beniamin he said, The beloued of the Lord shall dwell in safetie by him: the Lord shall couer him all the day long, and dwell betweene his shoulders.
13 Về đại tộc Giô-sép, Môi-se chúc: “Đất họ được Chúa ban phước lành, với những bổng lộc chọn lọc từ trời xanh, và từ nơi sâu thẳm của lòng đất.
And of Ioseph hee sayde, Blessed of the Lord is his land for the sweetenesse of heauen, for the dewe, and for the depth lying beneath,
14 Xin cho họ các sản phẩm quý nhất, dưới đôi vầng nhật nguyệt, tháng tháng mùa màng thu hoạch đầy kho;
And for the sweete increase of the sunne, and for the sweete increase of the moone,
15 cho họ hưởng hoa màu tuyệt hảo, tài vật nghìn năm của núi đồi,
And for the sweetenes of the top of the ancient mountaines, and for the sweetenes of the olde hilles,
16 và các thổ sản thượng hạng. Xin ân sủng của Đấng hiện ra nơi bụi gai đang cháy, đổ trên Giô-sép, ông hoàng của tất cả anh em.
And for the sweetenesse of the earth, and abundance thereof: and the good will of him that dwelt in the bushe, shall come vpon the head of Ioseph, and vpon the toppe of the head of him that was separated from his brethren.
17 Người lẫm liệt như bò đực đầu lòng; với cặp sừng dũng mãnh của bò rừng, người sẽ húc các dân tộc khác chạy đến cuối trời, với hàng muôn người Ép-ra-im, và hằng nghìn người Ma-na-se.”
His beautie shalbe like his first borne bullock, and his hornes as the hornes of an vnicorne: with them hee shall smite the people together, euen the endes of the world: these are also the ten thousands of Ephraim, and these are the thousands of Manasseh.
18 Môi-se nói về đại tộc Sa-bu-luân và Y-sa-ca: “Sa-bu-luân hân hoan lúc ra đi, còn Y-sa-ca hớn hở khi ở trong trại.
And of Zebulun he sayd, Reioice, Zebulun, in thy going out, and thou Isshachar in thy tents.
19 Họ sẽ mời các dân lên núi cùng nhau dâng lễ vật lên Chúa. Họ hưởng hải sản phong phú và các kho tàng chôn vùi trong cát.”
They shall call ye people vnto the mountaine: there they shall offer the sacrifices of righteousnesse: for they shall sucke of the abundance of the sea, and of the treasures hid in the sand.
20 Môi-se nói về đại tộc Gát: “Ngợi khen Đấng mở rộng bờ cõi Gát! Như sư tử rình rập rồi xé nát, đầu và tay chân các con mồi.
Also of Gad he said, Blessed be hee that enlargeth Gad: he dwelleth as a lion, that catcheth for his praye the arme with the head.
21 Người chọn cho mình phần tốt nhất, là đất dành cho người lãnh đạo. Người cùng các vị lãnh tụ của dân, thực thi công lý của Chúa, xét xử toàn dân cách công minh.”
And hee looked to himselfe at the beginning, because there was a portion of the Lawe-giuer hid: yet hee shall come with the heades of the people, to execute the iustice of the Lord, and his iudgements with Israel.
22 Về đại tộc Đan, Môi-se nói: “Đan là một sư tử con từ Ba-san nhảy xổ tới.”
And of Dan he said, Dan is a lions whelp: he shall leape from Bashan.
23 Ông chúc đại tộc Nép-ta-li: “Nép-ta-li sẽ thỏa nguyện về các ân huệ, hưởng phước lành của Chúa tràn đầy. Người sẽ chiếm đóng vùng đất phía tây, còn phía nam cũng nằm trong lãnh địa.”
Also of Naphtali he sayd, O Naphtali, satisfied with fauour, and filled with the blessing of the Lord, possesse the West and the South.
24 Về đại tộc A-se, ông chúc: “Cầu cho A-se được phước hơn con trai khác; xin cho người được anh em yêu chuộng, người sang đến độ lấy dầu rửa chân.
And of Asher he saide, Asher shalbe blessed with children: he shalbe acceptable vnto his brethren, and shall dippe his foote in oyle.
25 Then cửa người bằng đồng, bằng sắt, tuổi càng cao, sức người càng tăng.”
Thy shooes shalbe yron and brasse, and thy strength shall continue as long as thou liuest.
26 “Nào có ai như Đức Chúa Trời của Ít-ra-ên. Uy nghi ngự các tầng trời, sẵn sàng cứu giúp khi ngươi kêu cầu.
There is none like God, O righteous people, which rideth vpon the heauens for thine helpe, and on the cloudes in his glory.
27 Đức Chúa Trời ngươi là Thần Hằng Hữu với cánh tay bao phủ đời đời bất luận nơi nào ngươi trú ngụ. Ngài đuổi kẻ thù trước mặt ngươi và ra lệnh: Tiêu diệt đi cho rồi!
The eternall God is thy refuge, and vnder his armes thou art for euer: hee shall cast out the enemie before thee, and will say, Destroy them.
28 Nhờ thế, Ít-ra-ên sống riêng biệt, Gia-cốp an cư lạc nghiệp một nơi trong miền đầy rượu và ngũ cốc, vì đất họ đượm nhuần sương móc.
Then Israel the fountaine of Iaakob shall dwell alone in safetie in a lande of wheat, and wine: also his heauens shall drop the dewe.
29 Ít-ra-ên phước hạnh tuyệt vời! Khắp muôn dân ai sánh kịp ngươi, những người được Chúa thương cứu độ? Ngài là thuẫn đỡ đần, che chở, là lưỡi gươm thần tuyệt luân! Kẻ thù khúm núm đầu hàng, nhưng ngươi chà nát tượng thần địch quân.”
Blessed art thou, O Israel: who is like vnto thee, O people saued by the Lord, the shielde of thine helpe, and which is the sword of thy glorie? therefore thine enemies shall bee in subiection to thee, and thou shalt tread vpon their hie places.
