Phục Truyền Luật Lệ 26
1 “Khi đã vào sống trong đất nơi Chúa Hằng Hữu, Đức Chúa Trời của anh em ban cho rồi,
And it shall come to pass, when thou art come in unto the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance, and thou hast taken possession of it, and dwellest therein:
2 anh em sẽ chọn một số hoa quả đầu mùa, bỏ vào giỏ, đem lên nơi Chúa Hằng Hữu, Đức Chúa Trời anh em, sẽ chọn để đặt Danh Ngài,
That thou shalt take of the first of all the fruit of the soil, which thou shalt bring in from thy land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, and shalt put it in a basket; and thou shalt go unto the place which the Lord thy God will choose to let his name dwell there.
3 trao cho thầy tế lễ đang thi hành nhiệm vụ tại đó, và nói: ‘Hôm nay tôi xin phép được thưa trình với Chúa Hằng Hữu là Đức Chúa Trời, Đấng đã đem tôi vào đất này như Ngài đã hứa với các tổ tiên.’
And thou shalt come unto the priest that may be in those days, and thou shalt say unto him, I give thanks this day unto the Lord thy God, that I am come into the land which the Lord swore unto our fathers to give to us.
4 Thầy tế lễ sẽ lấy giỏ hoa quả để trước bàn thờ Chúa Hằng Hữu, Đức Chúa Trời của anh em.
And the priest shall take the basket out of thy hand, and set it down before the altar of the Lord thy God.
5 Người đứng dâng lễ vật sẽ thưa với Chúa Hằng Hữu, Đức Chúa Trời của anh em: ‘Tổ tiên tôi là một người A-ram du mục. Người xuống Ai Cập với một gia đình vỏn vẹn có mấy người, nhưng về sau họ trở thành một dân tộc mạnh mẽ đông đúc.
And thou shalt commence and say before the Lord thy God, A Syrian, wandering about, was my father, and he went down into Egypt, and sojourned there with a family few in number, and he became there a nation, great, mighty, and numerous.
6 Người Ai Cập ngược đãi chúng tôi, bắt chúng tôi làm nô lệ khổ nhục.
And the Egyptians treated us ill, and afflicted us, and laid upon us hard labor;
7 Chúng tôi kêu thấu Chúa Hằng Hữu, Đức Chúa Trời của tổ tiên, và Ngài nghe tiếng kêu than, nhìn thấy cảnh khổ đau, cực nhọc, áp bức chúng tôi phải chịu.
And then we cried unto the Eternal, the God of our fathers; and the Lord heard our voice, and looked on our affliction, and our trouble, and our oppression;
8 Với cánh tay đầy quyền năng, với nhiều phép lạ, Ngài đem chúng tôi ra khỏi Ai Cập.
And the Lord brought us forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great terror, and with signs, and with wonders;
9 Ngài dắt chúng tôi vào đây, cho chúng tôi đất phì nhiêu này!
And he brought us unto this place, and gave unto us this land, a land flowing with milk and honey.
10 Chúa ôi, giờ đây tôi kính dâng lên Ngài các hoa quả đầu tiên của đất đai Ngài cho tôi.’ Xong, người này đặt hoa quả trước mặt Chúa Hằng Hữu, Đức Chúa Trời của anh em, và thờ lạy Ngài.
And now, behold, I have brought the first of the fruits of the soil, which thou hast given me, O Lord; and thou shalt set it down before the Lord thy God, and prostrate thyself before the Lord thy God;
11 Sau đó, gia đình người này sẽ cùng với người Lê-vi và ngoại kiều trong thành ăn mừng, vì Chúa đã ban phước lành cho mình.
And thou shalt rejoice with every good thing which the Lord thy God hath given unto thee, and unto thy house, thou, with the Levite, and the stranger that is in the midst of thee.
12 Cuối mỗi năm thứ ba, anh em sẽ lấy một phần mười của mùa màng thu hoạch được trong năm ấy (gọi là năm dâng hiến một phần mười) đem phân phối cho người Lê-vi, ngoại kiều, cô nhi, và quả phụ trong thành, cho họ có đủ thực phẩm.
When thou hast made an end of giving away all the tithe of thy produce in the third year, the year of the tithing, and hast given it unto the Levite, to the stranger, to the fatherless, and to the widow, and they have eaten it within thy gates, and are satisfied:
13 Và, anh em sẽ trình với Chúa Hằng Hữu, Đức Chúa Trời của anh em: ‘Tôi đã đem phần mười cho người Lê-vi, ngoại kiều, cô nhi, và quả phụ đúng như lệnh Chúa truyền. Tôi không dám vi phạm hay lãng quên lệnh Chúa.
Then shalt thou say before the Lord thy God, I have removed away the hallowed things out of the house, and I have also given them unto the Levite, and unto the stranger, to the fatherless, and to the widow, according to all thy commandment which thou hast commanded me; I have not deviated from thy commandments, and I have not forgotten;
14 Tôi không hề động đến phần mười khi tôi ở trong tình trạng ô uế, không ăn của này lúc tang chế, cũng không dùng để lo cho người chết. Tôi vâng theo lời Chúa Hằng Hữu, Đức Chúa Trời của anh em dạy, làm mọi điều Ngài truyền bảo tôi.
I have not eaten thereof in my mourning, neither have I removed away aught thereof in an unclean state, nor have I given aught thereof for the dead: I have hearkened to the voice of the Lord my God, I have done all, just as thou hast commanded me.
15 Xin Chúa từ trời nhìn xuống, ban phước cho dân tộc Ít-ra-ên của Ngài, chúc phước trên đất Ngài cho họ, cho đất này phì nhiêu như Ngài đã hứa với các tổ tiên.’”
Look down from the habitation of thy holiness, from the heavens, and bless thy people Israel, and the soil which thou hast given unto us, as thou hast sworn unto our fathers, a land flowing with milk and honey.
16 “Ngày nay anh em phải hết lòng vâng giữ tất cả các giới luật Chúa Hằng Hữu, Đức Chúa Trời của anh em, truyền cho.
This day the Lord thy God commandeth thee to do these statutes and ordinances; and thou shalt keep and do them with all thy heart, and with all thy soul.
17 Hôm nay anh em đã công khai xác nhận Chúa Hằng Hữu là Đức Chúa Trời của anh em, đi theo đường lối Ngài, giữ các giới luật Ngài, vâng theo lời Ngài.
Thou hast this day acknowledged the Lord, that he is thy God, and that thou wilt walk in his ways, and keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his ordinances, and hearken unto his voice;
18 Và hôm nay Chúa Hằng Hữu cũng công nhận anh em là dân Ngài như Ngài đã hứa, nếu anh em vâng giữ mọi giới luật Chúa truyền.
And the Lord hath acknowledged thee this day, that thou art unto him a peculiar people, as he hath spoken unto thee, and that thou shouldst keep all his commandments;
19 Ngài sẽ làm cho Ít-ra-ên được vinh dự, danh tiếng, và được ca ngợi hơn mọi dân tộc khác. Vì anh em là một dân thánh của Chúa—sống đúng như lời Ngài phán dặn.”
So that he may set thee highest above all nations that he hath made, in praise, and in name, and in honor; and that thou mayest be a holy people unto the Lord thy God, as he hath spoken.
