II Sa-mu-ên 9
1 Một hôm, Đa-vít hỏi: “Có ai trong nhà Sau-lơ còn sống không? Ta muốn vì Giô-na-than mà giúp đỡ người còn lại ấy.”
And Dauid seide, Whether ony man is, that lefte of the hows of Saul, that Y do mercy with hym for Jonathas?
2 Một người tên là Di-ba, trước kia làm đầy tớ trong nhà Sau-lơ được gọi vào chầu vua. Vua hỏi: “Ông là Di-ba phải không?” Di-ba thưa: “Dạ phải.”
Forsothe a seruaunt, Siba bi name, was of the hous of Saul; whom whanne the kyng hadde clepid to hym silf, `the kyng seide to hym, Whethir thou art not Siba? And he answeride, Y am thi seruaunt.
3 Vua tiếp: “Trong gia đình Sau-lơ có ai còn sống không? Ta muốn chia sẻ ân huệ của Đức Chúa Trời ban cho với người ấy.” Di-ba đáp “Còn một người con trai của Giô-na-than. Người này bị què.”
And the kyng seide, Whether ony man lyueth of the hows of Saul, that Y do with hym the mercy of God? And Siba seide to the kyng, A sone of Jonathas lyueth, feble in the feet.
4 Đa-vít hỏi tiếp: “Người ấy ở đâu?” Di-ba thưa: “Ở trong nhà của Ma-ki, con của A-mi-ên, tại Lô-đê-ba.”
The kyng seide, Where is he? And Siba seide to the kyng, Lo! he is in the hows of Machir, sone of Amyel, in Lodabar.
5 Vua Đa-vít sai đem người ấy đến.
Therfor `Dauid the kyng sente, and took hym fro the hows of Machir, sone of Amyel, fro Lodobar.
6 Mê-phi-bô-sết; con Giô-na-than, cháu Sau-lơ—đến sấp mình dưới đất cúi lạy Đa-vít. Đa-vít hỏi: “Mê-phi-bô-sết?” Mê-phi-bô-sết thưa: “Dạ, có đầy tớ vua đây.”
Forsothe whanne Myphibosech, the sone of Jonathas, sone of Saul, hadde come to Dauid, he felde in to his face, and worschipide. And Dauid seide, Myphibosech! Which answeride, Y am present, thi seruaunt.
7 Đa-vít vỗ về: “Đừng sợ. Vì Giô-na-than cha cậu, ta muốn giúp cậu, trả lại cho cậu tất cả đất đai của Sau-lơ ông nội cậu, và cậu sẽ ăn cùng bàn với ta mãi mãi.”
And Dauid seide to hym, Drede thou not, for Y doynge schal do mersi to thee for Jonathas, thi fadir; and Y schal restore to thee alle the feeldis of Saul, thi fadir, and thou schalt ete breed in my boord euere.
8 Mê-phi-bô-sết cúi lạy và nói: “Tôi là ai? Tại sao vua lại ưu đãi một con chó chết như tôi?”
Which worschipide him, and seide, Who am Y, thi seruaunt, for thou hast biholde on a deed dogge lijk me?
9 Vua gọi Di-ba, là đầy tớ của Sau-lơ, căn dặn: “Ta đã cho cháu nội của chủ ông tất cả tài sản của gia đình Sau-lơ trước kia.
Therfor the kyng clepide Siba, the child of Saul; and seide to hym, Y haue youe to the sone of thi lord alle thingis, which euer weren of Saul, and al the hows of hym;
10 Vậy ông sẽ cùng các con và đầy tớ mình cày cấy đất này, lấy hoa lợi phụng dưỡng nhà chủ. Tuy nhiên, Mê-phi-bô-sết sẽ luôn luôn ăn cùng bàn với ta.” (Di-ba có mười lăm con trai và hai mươi đầy tớ.)
therfor worche thou the lond to hym, thou, and thi sones, and thi seruauntis, and thou schalt brynge in meetis to the sone of thi lord, that he be fed; forsothe Myphibosech, sone of thi lord, schal ete euer breed on my bord. Sotheli fiftene sones and twenti seruauntis weren to Siba.
11 Di-ba thưa: “Tôi xin tuân theo mọi điều vua truyền.” Và như thế, Mê-phi-bô-sết ăn cùng bàn với vua như một hoàng tử.
And Siba seyde to the kyng, As thou, my lord kyng, hast comaundid to thi seruaunt, so thi seruaunt schal do; and Myphibosech, as oon of the sones of the kyng, schal ete on thi boord.
12 Mê-phi-bô-sết có một con trai nhỏ là Mai-ca. Cả nhà Di-ba trở thành đầy tớ của Mê-phi-bô-sết.
Forsothe Myphibosech hadde a litil sone, Mycha bi name; sotheli al the meyne of the hows of Siba seruyde Myphibosech.
13 Còn Mê-phi-bô-sết, người bị què cả hai chân, lên sống ở Giê-ru-sa-lem và được ăn chung với vua.
Forsothe Myphibosech dwellide in Jerusalem; for he eet contynueli of the kingis boord, and was crokid on either foot.
