II Các Vua 14
1 Năm thứ hai đời Giô-ách, con Giô-a-cha, vua Ít-ra-ên, A-ma-xia, con Giô-ách lên ngôi làm vua Giu-đa.
In year two of Joash [the] son of Jehoahaz [the] king of Israel he became king Amaziah [the] son of Joash [the] king of Judah.
2 A-ma-xia được hai mươi lăm tuổi lúc lên ngôi, và cai trị hai mươi chín năm tại Giê-ru-sa-lem. Mẹ vua là Giô-a-đan quê ở Giê-ru-sa-lem.
A son of twenty and five year[s] he was when became king he and twenty and nine year[s] he reigned in Jerusalem and [the] name of mother his ([was] Jehoaddan *Q(K)*) from Jerusalem.
3 A-ma-xia làm điều thiện trước mặt Chúa Hằng Hữu, nhưng không sánh bằng Đa-vít, tổ tiên vua. Vua noi gương cha mình là Giô-ách.
And he did the right in [the] eyes of Yahweh only not like David ancestor his according to all that he had done Joash father his he did.
4 Tuy nhiên vua vẫn không phá hủy các miếu thờ trên đồi, nên dân chúng vẫn còn cúng tế, và đốt hương tại những nơi ấy.
Only the high places not they were removed still the people [were] sacrificing and [were] making smoke at the high places.
5 Khi đã bình định lãnh thổ và củng cố thế lực, A-ma-xia đem xử tử những người đã ám sát cha mình.
And it was just when it was secure the kingdom in hand his and he struck down servants his who had struck down the king father his.
6 Nhưng vua không giết con của những người ấy, đúng theo lệnh của Chúa Hằng Hữu được chép trong Sách Luật Môi-se: “Cha sẽ không bị xử tử vì tội của con, và con cũng không bị xử tử vì tội của cha mẹ, nhưng mỗi người chỉ bị xử tử vì tội của mình.”
And [the] sons of those [who] had struck down not he put to death according to [what] is written in [the] book of [the] law of Moses which he commanded Yahweh saying not they will be put to death fathers on sons and sons not they will be put to death on fathers that except each for own sin his (he will be put to death. *Q(K)*)
7 Trong một trận chiến tại thung lũng Muối, A-ma-xia giết 10.000 quân Ê-đôm và chiếm Sê-la, đổi tên thành là Giốc-then, tên này đến nay vẫn còn.
He he struck down Edom in [the] Valley of (Salt *Q(K)*) ten thousand and he seized Sela in battle and he called name its Joktheel until the day this.
8 Sau đó, A-ma-xia sai sứ giả đến thách thức Giô-ách, con của Giô-a-cha, cháu Giê-hu, vua Ít-ra-ên: “Chúng ta thử giao chiến với nhau xem sao.”
Then he sent Amaziah messengers to Jehoash [the] son of Jehoahaz [the] son of Jehu [the] king of Israel saying come! let us look at one another faces.
9 Nhưng Giô-ách vua Ít-ra-ên sai sứ giả trả lời với A-ma-xia, vua Giu-đa: “Tại Li-ban, có một cây gai nhắn lời với cây bá hương: ‘Gả con gái anh cho con trai tôi đi!’ Nhưng có thú rừng đi qua giẫm nát cây gai.
And he sent Jehoash [the] king of Israel to Amaziah [the] king of Judah saying thornbush which [was] in Lebanon it sent to cedar which [was] in Lebanon saying give! daughter your to son my to a wife and it passed by [the] animal of the field which [was] in Lebanon and it trampled the thornbush.
10 Ngươi đánh bại Ê-đôm rồi sinh lòng kiêu căng. Sao không chịu ở nhà, mãn nguyện với chiến công ấy, lại còn muốn gây họa cho mình và cả nước Giu-đa, để cùng nhau suy sụp?”
Certainly you have struck down Edom and it has lifted you heart your be honored and remain at home your and why? will you engage in strife with harm and you will fall you and Judah with you.
11 Nhưng A-ma-xia không chịu nghe lời, nên Giô-ách kéo quân lên, giao chiến và đánh bại quân A-ma-xia ở Bết-sê-mết, thuộc đất Giu-đa.
And not he listened Amaziah and he went up Jehoash [the] king of Israel and they looked at one another faces he and Amaziah [the] king of Judah at Beth Shemesh which [belonged] to Judah.
12 Quân Giu-đa bỏ chạy về nhà.
And it was defeated Judah before Israel and they fled everyone (to tents his. *Q(K)*)
13 Giô-ách, vua Ít-ra-ên bắt được A-ma-xia, vua Giu-đa, con Giô-ách, cháu A-cha-xia tại Bết-sê-mết. Rồi Giô-ách tiến đến Giê-ru-sa-lem, phá đổ tường thành dài khoảng 180 mét từ cổng Ép-ra-im cho đến cổng Góc.
And Amaziah [the] king of Judah [the] son of Jehoash [the] son of Ahaziah he seized Jehoash [the] king of Israel at Beth Shemesh (and he came *Q(K)*) Jerusalem and he made a breach in [the] wall of Jerusalem at [the] gate of Ephraim to [the] gate of the corner four hundred cubit[s].
14 Giô-ách lấy hết vàng bạc, vật dụng trong Đền Thờ Chúa Hằng Hữu. Và trong cung vua, bắt nhiều người làm con tin rồi trở về Sa-ma-ri.
And he took all the gold and the silver and all the articles which were found [the] house of Yahweh and in [the] treasuries of [the] house of the king and [the] sons of the pledges and he returned Samaria towards.
15 Các việc khác của Giô-ách, thế lực của vua, các trận chiến với vua A-ma-xia của Giu-đa đều được chép trong Sách Lịch Sử Các Vua Ít-ra-ên.
And [the] rest of [the] matters of Jehoash which he did and might his and which he waged war with Amaziah [the] king of Judah ¿ not [are] they written on [the] scroll of [the] matters of the days of [the] kings of Israel.
16 Giô-ách an giấc với tổ tiên, được chôn tại Sa-ma-ri cùng các vua Ít-ra-ên. Giê-rô-bô-am II, con Giô-ách lên kế vị.
And he lay down Jehoash with ancestors his and he was buried in Samaria with [the] kings of Israel and he became king Jeroboam son his in place of him.
17 Sau khi Giô-ách, con Giô-a-cha, vua Ít-ra-ên mất, A-ma-xia, vua Giu-đa còn sống mười lăm năm nữa.
And he lived Amaziah [the] son of Joash [the] king of Judah after [the] death of Jehoash [the] son of Jehoahaz [the] king of Israel fif-teen year[s].
18 Các việc khác của A-ma-xia đều được chép trong Sách Lịch Sử Các Vua Giu-đa.
And [the] rest of [the] matters of Amaziah ¿ not [are] they written on [the] scroll of [the] matters of the days of [the] kings of Judah.
19 Tại Giê-ru-sa-lem có âm mưu phản loạn, nên A-ma-xia bỏ chạy đi La-ki. Người ta đuổi theo đến La-ki, giết A-ma-xia tại đó.
And people conspired on him a conspiracy in Jerusalem and he fled Lachish towards and they sent after him Lachish towards and they put to death him there.
20 Xác vua được đặt lên lưng ngựa chở về Giê-ru-sa-lem và được chôn tại Thành Đa-vít cùng với tổ tiên.
And they carried him on horses and he was buried in Jerusalem with ancestors his in [the] city of David.
21 Toàn dân Giu-đa tôn A-xa-ria lên làm vua thế cho A-ma-xia, cha vua. Lúc ấy A-xa-ria được mười sáu tuổi.
And they took all [the] people of Judah Azariah and he [was] a son of six-teen year[s] and they made king him in place of father his Amaziah.
22 Sau khi vua cha an giấc với tổ tiên, A-xa-ria xây thành Ê-lát và khôi phục chủ quyền thành này về cho nước Giu-đa.
He he built Elath and he restored it to Judah after lay down the king with ancestors his.
23 Vào năm thứ mười lăm đời A-ma-xia, con Giô-ách, vua Giu-đa, Giê-rô-bô-am II, con Giô-ách lên làm vua Ít-ra-ên và cai trị bốn mươi mốt năm tại Sa-ma-ri.
In year fif-teen year of Amaziah [the] son of Joash [the] king of Judah he became king Jeroboam [the] son of Joash [the] king of Israel in Samaria forty and one year[s].
24 Vua làm điều ác trước mặt Chúa Hằng Hữu, không chịu từ bỏ tội lỗi của Giê-rô-bô-am, con Nê-bát, lôi kéo Ít-ra-ên phạm tội theo.
And he did the evil in [the] eyes of Yahweh not he turned aside from all [the] sins of Jeroboam [the] son of Nebat which he caused to sin Israel.
25 Giê-rô-bô-am khôi phục bờ cõi Ít-ra-ên từ Ha-mát đến Biển Chết, đúng như lời Chúa Hằng Hữu, Đức Chúa Trời của Ít-ra-ên, đã dùng đầy tớ Ngài là Tiên tri Giô-na, con trai A-mi-tai, người Gát-hê-phe loan báo trước.
He he restored [the] border of Israel from Lebo Hamath to [the] sea of the Arabah according to [the] word of Yahweh [the] God of Israel which he spoke by [the] hand of servant his Jonah [the] son of Amittai the prophet who [was] from Gath Hepher.
26 Chúa Hằng Hữu thấy cảnh Ít-ra-ên bị hoạn nạn cay đắng, chẳng còn ai giúp đỡ,
For he saw Yahweh [the] affliction of Israel rebellious very and there not [was] shut up and there not [was] freed and there not [was] a helper for Israel.
27 nên Ngài dùng Giê-rô-bô-am II, con Giô-ách, giải cứu họ, và Chúa Hằng Hữu không hề có ý định xóa tên Ít-ra-ên trên đất.
And not he had spoken Yahweh to wipe out [the] name of Israel from under the heavens and he delivered them by [the] hand of Jeroboam [the] son of Joash.
28 Các việc khác của Giê-rô-bô-am II, thế lực người, các trận chiến, công cuộc khôi phục chủ quyền Đa-mách và Ha-mát, trước kia bị Giu-đa chiếm, đều được chép trong Sách Lịch Sử Các Vua Ít-ra-ên.
And [the] rest of [the] matters of Jeroboam and all that he did and might his which he waged war and which he restored Damascus and Hamath to Judah in Israel ¿ not [are] they written on [the] scroll of [the] matters of the days of [the] kings of Israel.
29 Giê-rô-bô-am II an giấc với tổ tiên, được chôn cùng các vua Ít-ra-ên. Xa-cha-ri, con vua lên ngôi kế vị.
And he lay down Jeroboam with ancestors his with [the] kings of Israel and he became king Zechariah son his in place of him.
