II Sử Ký 25

1 A-ma-xia được hai mươi lăm tuổi lúc lên ngôi, và cai trị hai mươi chín năm tại Giê-ru-sa-lem. Mẹ vua là Giô-a-đan quê ở Giê-ru-sa-lem.

son: aged twenty and five year to reign Amaziah and twenty and nine year to reign in/on/with Jerusalem and name mother his Jehoaddan from Jerusalem

2 A-ma-xia làm điều ngay thẳng trước mặt Chúa Hằng Hữu nhưng không hết lòng.

and to make: do [the] upright in/on/with eye: appearance LORD except not in/on/with heart complete

3 Khi A-ma-xia đã nắm vững quyền hành trong tay, vua liền xử tử những thuộc hạ đã ám sát cha mình.

and to be like/as as which to strengthen: hold [the] kingdom upon him and to kill [obj] servant/slave his [the] to smite [obj] [the] king father his

4 Nhưng vua không giết con cái của họ, vì vua tuân giữ lệnh Chúa Hằng Hữu được chép trong Sách Luật Môi-se: “Cha mẹ sẽ không chết vì tội của con, con cũng không chết vì tội của cha mẹ. Ai có tội, người ấy chịu hình phạt.”

5 A-ma-xia tổ chức quân đội, chỉ định các quan chỉ huy hàng nghìn và hàng trăm người cho toàn dân Giu-đa và Bên-gia-min. Ông kiểm kê dân số và tìm thanh niên từ hai mươi tuổi trở lên, chọn lọc 300.000 quân có tài sử dụng giáo và khiên.

and to gather Amaziah [obj] Judah and to stand: stand them to/for house: household father to/for ruler [the] thousand and to/for ruler [the] hundred to/for all Judah and Benjamin and to reckon: list them to/for from son: aged twenty year and above [to] and to find them three hundred thousand to choose to come out: regular army: war to grasp spear and shield

6 Vua còn bỏ ra 3.400 ký bạc để thuê 100.000 người có kinh nghiệm chiến đấu trong Ít-ra-ên.

and to hire from Israel hundred thousand mighty man strength in/on/with hundred talent silver: money

7 Nhưng có một người của Đức Chúa Trời đến nói với A-ma-xia: “Đừng dùng lính Ít-ra-ên, vì Chúa Hằng Hữu không ở cùng Ít-ra-ên. Ngài cũng không giúp Ép-ra-im!

and man [the] God to come (in): come to(wards) him to/for to say [the] king not to come (in): come with you army Israel for nothing LORD with Israel all son: descendant/people Ephraim

8 Nhưng nếu vua để họ cùng lính vua ra trận, thì vua sẽ bị quân thù đánh bại, dù vua có chiến đấu mạnh mẽ đến đâu. Đức Chúa Trời sẽ lật đổ vua, vì Ngài có quyền cho vua thắng hay bại.”

that if: except if: except to come (in): come you(m. s.) to make: do to strengthen: strengthen to/for battle to stumble you [the] God to/for face: before enemy for there strength in/on/with God to/for to help and to/for to stumble

9 A-ma-xia hỏi người của Đức Chúa Trời: “Nhưng còn số bạc tôi đã trả để thuê đoàn quân Ít-ra-ên này thì sao?” Người của Đức Chúa Trời đáp: “Chúa Hằng Hữu có quyền cho vua nhiều hơn số ấy!”

and to say Amaziah to/for man [the] God and what? to/for to make: do to/for hundred [the] talent which to give: give to/for band Israel and to say man [the] God there to/for LORD to/for to give: give to/for you to multiply from this

10 Nghe lời, A-ma-xia cho lính đánh thuê về Ép-ra-im. Điều này làm họ tức giận với Giu-đa, và trở về với lòng căm phẫn.

11 A-ma-xia lấy hết can đảm kéo quân đến Thung lũng Muối, tại đó, quân Giu-đa giết 10.000 người Sê-i-rơ.

and Amaziah to strengthen: strengthen and to lead [obj] people his and to go: went (Salt) Valley [the] (Valley of) Salt and to smite [obj] son: descendant/people Seir ten thousand

12 Quân Giu-đa cũng bắt 10.000 người khác, đem lên một mỏm núi rồi xô xuống cho nát thây.

and ten thousand alive to take captive son: descendant/people Judah and to come (in): bring them to/for head: top [the] rock and to throw them from head: top [the] rock and all their to break up/open

13 Những người lính đánh thuê bị A-ma-xia cho về, tấn công một số thành Giu-đa nằm giữa đất Sa-ma-ri và Bết-hô-rôn. Họ giết 3.000 người và cướp nhiều của cải.

and son: descendant/people [the] band which to return: return Amaziah from to go: went with him to/for battle and to strip in/on/with city Judah from Samaria and till Beth-horon Beth-horon and to smite from them three thousand and to plunder plunder many

14 Sau cuộc chém giết người Ê-đôm, Vua A-ma-xia trở về và đem theo các thần của người Sê-i-rơ. Vua lập lên làm thần mình, rồi thờ lạy và cúng tế chúng!

and to be after to come (in): come Amaziah from to smite [obj] Edomite and to come (in): bring [obj] God son: descendant/people Seir and to stand: stand them to/for him to/for God and to/for face: before their to bow and to/for them to offer: offer

15 Chúa Hằng Hữu nổi giận, sai một tiên tri đến hỏi A-ma-xia: “Tại sao ngươi đi cầu các thần mà chính nó không cứu nổi dân mình khỏi tay ngươi?”

and to be incensed face: anger LORD in/on/with Amaziah and to send: depart to(wards) him prophet and to say to/for him to/for what? to seek [obj] God [the] people which not to rescue [obj] people their from hand: power your

16 Vua ngắt lời: “Ta có bảo ngươi làm quân sư cho ta đâu? Im đi, đừng buộc ta phải giết ngươi!” Tiên tri im, nhưng rồi nói: “Tôi biết Đức Chúa Trời quyết định diệt vua vì vua đã phạm tội ấy, và lại không chịu nghe lời tôi.”

and to be in/on/with to speak: speak he to(wards) him and to say to/for him to/for to advise to/for king to give: make you to cease to/for you to/for what? to smite you and to cease [the] prophet and to say to know for to advise God to/for to ruin you for to make: do this and not to hear: hear to/for counsel my

17 Sau khi nghe lời bàn của các quân sư, A-ma-xia, vua Giu-đa, tuyên chiến với vua Ít-ra-ên là Giô-ách, con Giô-a-cha, cháu Giê-hu, rằng: “Hãy đến gặp ta trong trận chiến!”

and to advise Amaziah king Judah and to send: depart to(wards) Joash son: child Jehoahaz son: child Jehu king Israel to/for to say (to go: come! [emph?] *Q(K)*) to see: see face

18 Nhưng Giô-ách, vua Ít-ra-ên, sai sứ giả nói câu chuyện này với A-ma-xia, vua Giu-đa: “Tại Li-ban, một cây gai sai mai mối tới nói với một cây bá hương: ‘Gả con gái ngươi cho con trai ta.’ Lúc ấy có thú rừng đi qua, giẫm nát cây gai!

and to send: depart Joash king Israel to(wards) Amaziah king Judah to/for to say [the] thistle which in/on/with Lebanon to send: depart to(wards) [the] cedar which in/on/with Lebanon to/for to say to give: give(marriage) [emph?] [obj] daughter your to/for son: child my to/for woman: wife and to pass living thing [the] land: wildlife which in/on/with Lebanon and to trample [obj] [the] thistle

19 Ngươi nói: ‘Ta đã đánh bại Ê-đôm,’ và ngươi sinh ra kiêu ngạo. Nay ta khuyên ngươi chịu khó ở nhà. Tại sao phải gây họa cho chính mình và làm cho cả nước Giu-đa bị họa lây?”

to say behold to smite [obj] Edom and to lift: enthuse you heart your to/for to honor: honour now to dwell [emph?] in/on/with house: home your to/for what? to stir up in/on/with distress: harm and to fall: kill you(m. s.) and Judah with you

20 Nhưng A-ma-xia không nghe, vì Đức Chúa Trời xếp đặt cho quân thù tiêu diệt vua, vì vua thờ các thần Ê-đôm.

and not to hear: hear Amaziah for from [the] God he/she/it because to give: give them in/on/with hand: power for to seek [obj] God Edom

21 Giô-ách, vua Ít-ra-ên, kéo quân dàn trận đối diện quân A-ma-xia, vua Giu-đa. Hai đội quân dàn trận tại Bết-sê-mết, đất Giu-đa.

and to ascend: rise Joash king Israel and to see: approach face: kindness he/she/it and Amaziah king Judah in/on/with Beth-shemesh Beth-shemesh which to/for Judah

22 Giu-đa bị quân Ít-ra-ên đánh bại, bỏ chạy về nhà.

and to strike Judah to/for face: before Israel and to flee man: anyone to/for tent: home his

23 Giô-ách, vua Ít-ra-ên, bắt A-ma-xia, con Giô-ách, cháu Giô-a-cha tại Bết-sê-mết, vua Giu-đa, giải về Giê-ru-sa-lem. Giô-ách còn phá đổ tường thành Giê-ru-sa-lem từ Cổng Ép-ra-im đến Cổng Góc, một đoạn dài 180 mét.

and [obj] Amaziah king Judah son: child Joash son: child Ahaziah to capture Joash king Israel in/on/with Beth-shemesh Beth-shemesh and to come (in): bring him Jerusalem and to break through in/on/with wall Jerusalem from gate Ephraim (Gate) till gate [the] Corner (Gate) four hundred cubit

24 Ông thu tóm vàng bạc, dụng cụ trong Đền Thờ Đức Chúa Trời do Ô-bết Ê-đôm coi giữ. Ông cũng chiếm đoạt các báu vật hoàng cung, cùng các con tin đem về Sa-ma-ri.

and all [the] gold and [the] silver: money and [obj] all [the] article/utensil [the] to find in/on/with house: temple [the] God with Obed-edom Obed-edom and [obj] treasure house: palace [the] king and [obj] son: type of [the] security and to return: return Samaria

25 A-ma-xia, vua Giu-đa còn sống mười lăm năm sau khi Giô-ách, vua Ít-ra-ên, qua đời.

and to live Amaziah son: child Joash king Judah after death Joash son: child Jehoahaz king Israel five ten year

26 Tất cả công việc khác của triều đại A-ma-xia đều được chép trong Sách Các Vua Giu-đa và Ít-ra-ên.

and remainder word: deed Amaziah [the] first and [the] last not look! they to write upon scroll: book king Judah and Israel

27 Sau khi A-ma-xia chối bỏ Chúa, có một vụ phản loạn chống A-ma-xia tại Giê-ru-sa-lem nên A-ma-xia chạy đến La-ki lánh nạn. Nhưng kẻ thù của vua đuổi theo và giết vua tại đó.

and from time which to turn aside: turn aside Amaziah from after LORD and to conspire upon him conspiracy in/on/with Jerusalem and to flee Lachish [to] and to send: depart after him Lachish [to] and to die him there

28 Họ dùng ngựa chở xác vua đem về chôn trong Thành Đa-vít cùng với tổ tiên.

and to lift: bear him upon [the] horse and to bury [obj] him with father his in/on/with city Judah
