I Sa-mu-ên 7

1 Người Ki-ri-át Giê-a-rim đến đem Hòm Giao Ước của Chúa Hằng Hữu về nhà A-bi-na-đáp ở trên đồi. Người ta cử Ê-lê-a-sa con A-bi-na-đáp coi giữ Hòm.

and to come (in): come human Kiriath-jearim Kiriath-jearim and to ascend: establish [obj] ark LORD and to come (in): bring [obj] him to(wards) house: home Abinadab in/on/with hill and [obj] Eleazar son: child his to consecrate: consecate to/for to keep: guard [obj] ark LORD

2 Hòm ở lại Ki-ri-át Giê-a-rim suốt hai mươi năm. Suốt thời gian đó, toàn dân Ít-ra-ên đều than khóc vì Chúa Hằng Hữu đã từ bỏ họ.

and to be from day to dwell [the] ark in/on/with Kiriath-jearim Kiriath-jearim and to multiply [the] day and to be twenty year and to wail all house: household Israel after LORD

3 Bấy giờ, Sa-mu-ên kêu gọi toàn dân Ít-ra-ên: “Nếu anh chị em thật lòng quay về với Chúa Hằng Hữu, thì anh chị em phải phế bỏ các thần lạ và tượng Át-tạt-tê, hết lòng hướng về Chúa Hằng Hữu, chỉ phụng sự Ngài mà thôi; như vậy Ngài sẽ cứu anh chị em khỏi tay người Phi-li-tin.”

and to say Samuel to(wards) all house: household Israel to/for to say if in/on/with all heart your you(m. p.) to return: return to(wards) LORD to turn aside: remove [obj] God [the] foreign from midst your and [the] Ashtaroth and to establish: commit heart your to(wards) LORD and to serve him to/for alone him and to rescue [obj] you from hand: power Philistine

4 Người Ít-ra-ên vâng lời phá hủy tượng Ba-anh và Át-tạt-tê, chỉ phụng sự Chúa Hằng Hữu mà thôi.

and to turn aside: remove son: descendant/people Israel [obj] [the] Baal and [obj] [the] Ashtaroth and to serve [obj] LORD to/for alone him

5 Sa-mu-ên nói với họ: “Hãy triệu tập đại hội toàn dân tại Mích-pa. Tôi sẽ cầu xin Chúa Hằng Hữu cho anh chị em.”

and to say Samuel to gather [obj] all Israel [the] Mizpah [to] and to pray about/through/for you to(wards) LORD

6 Trong đại hội Mích-pa, họ múc nước đổ tràn ra trước Chúa Hằng Hữu, kiêng ăn trọn ngày, rồi xưng tội: “Chúng tôi có tội với Chúa Hằng Hữu.” (Và tại đó, Sa-mu-ên làm phán quan của Ít-ra-ên.)

and to gather [the] Mizpah [to] and to draw water and to pour: pour to/for face: before LORD and to fast in/on/with day [the] he/she/it and to say there to sin to/for LORD and to judge Samuel [obj] son: descendant/people Israel in/on/with Mizpah

7 Nghe tin người Ít-ra-ên họp tại thành Mích-pa, các nhà lãnh đạo Phi-li-tin kéo quân đến đánh. Người Ít-ra-ên run sợ khi được tin này.

and to hear: hear Philistine for to gather son: descendant/people Israel [the] Mizpah [to] and to ascend: rise lord Philistine to(wards) Israel and to hear: hear son: descendant/people Israel and to fear from face of Philistine

8 Họ khẩn khoản với Sa-mu-ên: “Xin ông tiếp tục cầu nguyện Chúa Hằng Hữu, Đức Chúa Trời của Ít-ra-ên, để Ngài cứu chúng ta khỏi tay người Phi-li-tin.”

and to say son: descendant/people Israel to(wards) Samuel not be quiet from us from to cry out to(wards) LORD God our and to save us from hand: power Philistine

9 Sa-mu-ên bắt một con chiên non còn bú, dâng làm lễ thiêu cho Chúa Hằng Hữu và kêu cầu Ngài cứu giúp Ít-ra-ên. Chúa Hằng Hữu liền nhận lời.

and to take: take Samuel lamb milk one (and to ascend: offer up him *Q(K)*) burnt offering entire to/for LORD and to cry out Samuel to(wards) LORD about/through/for Israel and to answer him LORD

10 Khi Sa-mu-ên đang dâng của lễ thiêu, thì quân Phi-li-tin kéo đến tấn công Ít-ra-ên. Nhưng Chúa Hằng Hữu phát sấm sét rầm trời, làm quân Phi-li-tin hỗn loạn và bị Ít-ra-ên đánh bại hôm ấy.

and to be Samuel to ascend: offer up [the] burnt offering and Philistine to approach: approach to/for battle in/on/with Israel and to thunder LORD in/on/with voice: sound great: large in/on/with day [the] he/she/it upon Philistine and to confuse them and to strike to/for face: before Israel

11 Người Ít-ra-ên đuổi quân Phi-li-tin chạy từ Mích-pa cho đến quá Bết-ca và chém giết vô số.

and to come out: come human Israel from [the] Mizpah and to pursue [obj] Philistine and to smite them till from underneath: under to/for Beth-car Beth-car

12 Sa-mu-ên lấy một tảng đá dựng quãng giữa Mích-pa và Sen, đặt tên đá là Ê-bên-ê-xe, (nghĩa là “đá giúp đỡ”), vì ông nói: “Chúa Hằng Hữu đã cứu giúp chúng ta.”

and to take: take Samuel stone one and to set: make between [the] Mizpah and between [the] Shen and to call: call by [obj] name her Ebenezer Ebenezer and to say till here/thus to help us LORD

13 Vậy, người Phi-li-tin chịu khuất phục, không còn xâm lấn địa phận Ít-ra-ên nữa. Trọn đời Sa-mu-ên, tay Chúa Hằng Hữu khống chế người Phi-li-tin.

and be humble [the] Philistine and not to add: again still to/for to come (in): come in/on/with border: area Israel and to be hand: power LORD in/on/with Philistine all day Samuel

14 Các thành bị người Phi-li-tin chiếm, từ Éc-rôn đến Gát, đều được trả lại cho người Ít-ra-ên, kể cả các vùng phụ cận của các thành ấy. Giữa Ít-ra-ên và người A-mô-rít cũng được hòa bình.

15 Sa-mu-ên làm phán quan Ít-ra-ên trọn đời.

16 Mỗi năm ông đi đến Bê-tên, Ghinh-ganh, và Mích-pa để xét xử dân tại các nơi ấy.

and to go: went from sufficiency year in/on/with year and to turn: surround Bethel Bethel and [the] Gilgal and [the] Mizpah and to judge [obj] Israel [obj] all [the] place [the] these

17 Sau đó, ông trở về Ra-ma, là nơi ông cư ngụ, và tiếp tục xét xử các vụ kiện tụng của dân. Sa-mu-ên xây một bàn thờ cho Chúa Hằng Hữu tại Ra-ma.
