I Các Vua 6
1 Nhằm tháng Xíp, tức tháng thứ hai, năm thứ tư đời Sa-lô-môn trị vì, vua khởi công xây Đền Thờ Chúa Hằng Hữu. Tức vào năm 480, tính từ khi người Ít-ra-ên ra khỏi Ai Cập.
And in the foure hundreth and foure score yeere (after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt) and in the fourth yere of the reigne of Salomon ouer Israel, in the moneth Zif, (which is the second moneth) he built the house of the Lord.
2 Đền Thờ mà Sa-lô-môn xây cất cho Chúa Hằng Hữu dài 27,6 mét, rộng 9,2 mét và cao 13,8 mét.
And the house which King Salomon built for the Lord, was three score cubites long, and twentie broade, and thirtie cubites hie.
3 Phía trước Đền Thờ có một hành lang dài 9,2 mét, bằng bề ngang của Đền Thờ, rộng 4,6 mét.
And the porch before the Temple of the house was twentie cubites long according to the breadth of the house, and ten cubites broade before the house.
4 Sa-lô-môn cũng làm nhiều cửa sổ hẹp cho đền thờ.
And in the house he made windowes, broad without, and narrowe within.
5 Sát vách Đền Thờ, còn có nhiều phòng ốc vây quanh Đền Thờ và nơi thánh.
And by the wall of the house hee made galleries round about, euen by the walles of the house round about the Temple and the oracle, and made chambers round about.
6 Tầng dưới của kiến trúc rộng 2,3 mét, tầng giữa rộng 2,8 mét, tầng thứ ba rộng 3,2 mét. Những tầng lầu này cất dựa trên những cây đà đóng dính vào mặt ngoài tường đền thờ, như thế tránh được việc dùng những cây xà đâm thẳng vào vách đền.
The nethermost gallerie was fiue cubites broade, and the middlemost sixe cubites broade, and the third seuen cubites broade: for he made restes round about without the house, that the beames should not be fastened in the walles of the house.
7 Đá dùng trong công tác xây cất này đều được chuẩn bị tại hầm đá, cho nên trong lúc cất Đền Thờ, không có tiếng búa, rìu, hay tiếng của một dụng cụ bằng sắt nào.
And when the house was built, it was built of stone perfite, before it was brought, so that there was neither hammer, nor axe, nor any toole of yron heard in the house, while it was in building.
8 Cửa ra vào phòng tầng dưới đặt phía bên phải Đền Thờ. Từ tầng này có thang trôn ốc đi lên tầng giữa, và từ tầng giữa lên tầng thứ ba cũng có thang trôn ốc.
The doore of the middle chamber was in the right side of the house, and men went vp with winding stayres into the middlemost, and out of the middlemost into the third.
9 Xây Đền Thờ xong, Sa-lô-môn đóng đà và lót ván bá hương khắp mặt trong tường.
So he built the house and finished it, and sieled the house being vawted with sieling of cedar trees.
10 Về các kiến trúc sát vách Đền Thờ, mỗi tầng cao 2,3 mét và các phòng được nối với tường Đền Thờ nhờ những cây đà bá hương.
And he built the galleries vpon al the wall of the house of fiue cubites height, and they were ioyned to the house with beames of cedar.
11 Lời của Chúa Hằng Hữu được truyền lại cho Sa-lô-môn như sau:
And the worde of the Lord came to Salomon, saying,
12 “Về Đền Thờ con đang cất, nếu con vâng theo tất cả những điều răn, luật lệ, và quy tắc của Ta, Ta sẽ thực hiện những điều Ta hứa với Đa-vít, cha con.
Cocerning this house which thou buildest, if thou wilt walke in mine ordinances, and execute my iudgements, and keepe al my commadements, to walke in them, then will I performe vnto thee my promise, which I promised to Dauid thy father.
13 Ta sẽ ở giữa người Ít-ra-ên, không bỏ họ đâu.”
And I will dwell among the children of Israel, and wil not forsake my people Israel.
14 Vậy, Sa-lô-môn hoàn tất công việc xây cất Đền Thờ.
So Salomon built the house and finished it,
15 Mặt trong đền, từ tường đến trần, đều lót ván bá hương, còn nền được đóng ván thông.
And built the walles of the house within, with boards of cedar tree from the pauement of the house vnto the walles of the sieling, and within he couered them with wood, and couered the floore of the house with planks of firre.
16 Sa-lô-môn ngăn phần cuối của đền một khoảng dài 9,2 mét, lót ván bá hương từ nền đến trần. Đó là Nơi Chí Thánh trong Đền Thờ.
And he built twentie cubites in the sides of the house with boards of cedar, from the floore to the walles, and he prepared a place within it for the oracle, euen the most holy place.
17 Phần của Đền còn lại ở phía trước dài 18,4 mét,
But the house, that is, the Temple before it, was fourtie cubites long.
18 khắp mặt trong của tường Đền Thờ đều được lót ván bá hương nên không thấy đá. Ván này được chạm hình hoa nở và nụ.
And the cedar of the house within was carued with knops, and grauen with floures: all was cedar, so that no stone was seene.
19 Phần trong của Đền Thờ, tức nơi thánh, được chuẩn bị để đặt Hòm Giao Ước của Chúa Hằng Hữu.
Also he prepared the place of the oracle in the mids of the house within, to set the Arke of the couenant of the Lord there.
20 Tất cả mặt trong của nơi thánh dài 9,2 mét, rộng 9,2 mét, và cao 9,2 mét đều được bọc bằng vàng ròng. Bàn thờ đóng bằng gỗ bá hương cũng được bọc vàng.
And the place of the oracle within was twentie cubites long, and twentie cubites broad, and twentie cubites hie, and hee couered it with pure golde, and couered the altar with cedar.
21 Sa-lô-môn cũng bọc mặt trong của phần Đền Thờ còn lại bằng vàng ròng, và phía trước Nơi Chí Thánh có dây xích bằng vàng giăng ngang.
So Salomon couered the house within with pure golde: and he shut the place of the oracle with chaines of gold, and couered it with golde.
22 Khắp mặt bàn thờ tại Nơi Chí Thánh đều được bọc bằng vàng.
And he ouerlayde all the house with gold, vntill all the house was made perfite. also he couered the whole altar, that was before the oracle, with golde.
23 Trong nơi thánh, Sa-lô-môn làm hai chê-ru-bim bằng gỗ ô-liu, có hình dáng và kích thước như nhau, cao 4,5 mét.
And within the oracle he made two Cherubims of oliue tree, ten cubites hie.
24 Chê-ru-bim thứ nhất có hai cánh dang thẳng ra, mỗi cánh dài 2,3 mét. Từ đầu cánh này đến đầu cánh kia của chê-ru-bim dài 4,6 mét.
The wing also of the one Cherub was fiue cubites, and the wing of the other Cherub was fiue cubites: from the vttermost part of one of his wings vnto the vttermost part of the other of his wings, were ten cubites.
25 Vậy, từ đầu cánh này đến đầu cánh kia của chê-ru-bim thứ hai cũng dài 4,6 mét.
Also the other Cherub was of ten cubites: both the Cherubims were of one measure and one sise.
26 Mỗi chê-ru-bim cao 4,6 mét.
For the height of the one Cherub was ten cubits, and so was the other Cherub.
27 Hai chê-ru-bim được đặt trong nơi thánh của Đền Thờ để cho một cánh của chê-ru-bim thứ nhất đụng vách này, một cánh của chê-ru-bim thứ hai đụng vách kia; hai cánh còn lại đụng nhau ở chính giữa nơi thánh.
And he put the Cherubims within the inner house, and the Cherubims stretched out their wings, so that the wing of the one touched the one wall, and the wing of the other Cherub touched the other wall: and their other wings touched one another in the middes of the house.
28 Hai chê-ru-bim được bọc bằng vàng.
And he ouerlaied the Cherubims with golde.
29 Trên tường đền thờ, cả trong lẫn ngoài, đều được chạm hình chê-ru-bim, hình cây chà là, và hình hoa nở.
And he carued all the walles of the house round about with grauen figures of Cherubims and of Palmetrees, and grauen flowres within and without.
30 Còn nền của đền đều được lót vàng cả trong lẫn ngoài.
And the floore of the house hee couered with golde within and without.
31 Cửa vào nơi thánh làm bằng gỗ ô-liu; rầm đỡ cửa và trụ cửa có hình năm góc.
And in the entring of the oracle he made two doores of oliue tree: and the vpper post and side postes were fiue square.
32 Hai cánh cửa bằng gỗ ô-liu được chạm hình chê-ru-bim, cây chà là, và hoa nở. Cửa được bọc vàng, hình chê-ru-bim và cây chà là được tráng vàng.
The two doores also were of oliue tree, and he graued them with grauing of Cherubims and palme trees, and grauen floures, and couered them with golde, and layed thin golde vpon the Cherubims and vpon the palme trees.
33 Sa-lô-môn cũng làm cửa vào Đền Thờ. Trụ cửa bằng gỗ ô-liu, có hình vuông;
And so made he for the doore of the Temple, postes of oliue tree foure square.
34 hai cánh cửa bằng gỗ thông, mỗi cánh gồm hai miếng gấp lại được.
But the two doores were of firre tree, the two sides of the one doore were round, and the two sides of the other doore were round.
35 Cửa có chạm hình chê-ru-bim, cây chà là, và hoa nở. Cửa được bọc vàng, các hình chạm được tráng vàng.
And he graued Cherubims, and palme trees, and carued floures and couered the carued worke with golde, finely wrought.
36 Tường sân trong được xây bằng ba hàng đá chạm và một hàng cây xà bằng gỗ bá hương.
And hee built the court within with three rowes of hewed stone, and one rowe of beames of cedar.
37 Như vậy, nền móng của Đền Thờ Chúa Hằng Hữu được đặt vào tháng hai (tháng Xíp), năm thứ tư đời Sa-lô-môn trị vì.
In the fourth yeere was the foundation of the house of the Lord layed in the moneth of Zif:
38 Đến tháng tám (tháng Bu-lơ), năm thứ mười một, công trình xây cất hoàn tất. Thời gian cất Đền Thờ là bảy năm.
And in the eleuenth yeere in the moneth of Bul, (which is the eight moneth) hee finished the house with all the furniture thereof, and in euery point: so was he seuen yeere in building it.
