1 Các con Lê-vi là Ghẹt-sôn, Kê-hát, và Mê-ra-ri.
The sons of Levi: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.
2 Các con Kê-hát là Am-ram, Dít-sê-ha, Hếp-rôn, và U-xi-ên.
The sons of Kohath: Amram, Izhar, and Hebron, and Uzziel.
3 Các con Am-ram là A-rôn, Môi-se, và Mi-ri-am. Các con A-rôn là Na-đáp, A-bi-hu, Ê-lê-a-sa, và Y-tha-ma.
The children of Amram: Aaron, and Moses, and Miriam. The sons of Aaron: Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.
4 Ê-lê-a-sa sinh Phi-nê-a. Phi-nê-a sinh A-bi-sua.
Eleazar became the father of Phinehas, Phinehas became the father of Abishua,
5 A-bi-sua sinh Bu-ki. Bu-ki sinh U-xi.
and Abishua became the father of Bukki, and Bukki became the father of Uzzi,
6 U-xi sinh Xê-ra-hi-gia. Xê-ra-hi-gia sinh Mê-ra-giốt.
and Uzzi became the father of Zerahiah, and Zerahiah became the father of Meraioth,
7 Mê-ra-giốt sinh A-ma-ria. A-mi-ra sinh A-hi-túp.
Meraioth became the father of Amariah, and Amariah became the father of Ahitub,
8 A-hi-túp sinh Xa-đốc. Xa-đốc sinh A-hi-mát.
and Ahitub became the father of Zadok, and Zadok became the father of Ahimaaz,
9 A-hi-mát sinh A-xa-ria. A-xa-ria Giô-ha-nan.
and Ahimaaz became the father of Azariah, and Azariah became the father of Johanan,
10 Giô-ha-nan sinh A-xa-ria, là thầy tế lễ trong Đền Thờ mà Vua Sa-lô-môn đã dựng tại Giê-ru-sa-lem.
and Johanan became the father of Azariah, (he it is who executed the priest's office in the house that Solomon built in Jerusalem),
11 A-xa-ria sinh A-ma-ria. A-ma-ria sinh A-hi-túp.
and Azariah became the father of Amariah, and Amariah became the father of Ahitub,
12 A-hi-túp sinh Xa-đốc. Xa-đốc sinh Sa-lum.
and Ahitub became the father of Zadok, and Zadok became the father of Shallum,
13 Sa-lum sinh Hinh-kia. Hinh-kia sinh A-xa-ria.
and Shallum became the father of Hilkiah, and Hilkiah became the father of Azariah,
14 A-xa-ria sinh Sê-ra-gia. Sê-ra-gia sinh Giô-sa-đác,
and Azariah became the father of Seraiah, and Seraiah became the father of Jehozadak;

Jehozadak went into captivity, when YHWH carried away Judah and Jerusalem by the hand of Nebuchadnezzar.

The sons of Levi: Gershom, Kohath, and Merari.
17 Các con Ghẹt-sôn là Líp-ni và Si-mê-i.
These are the names of the sons of Gershom: Libni and Shimei.
18 Các con Kê-hát là Am-ram, Dích-sê-ha, Hếp-rôn, và U-xi-ên.
The sons of Kohath were Amram, and Izhar, and Hebron, and Uzziel.

The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi. These are the families of the Levites according to their fathers' houses.

But Aaron and his sons offered on the altar of burnt offering, and on the altar of incense, for all the work of the most holy place, and to make atonement for Israel, according to all that Moses the servant of God had commanded.

Now these are their dwelling places according to their encampments in their borders: to the descendants of Aaron, of the families of the Kohathites (for theirs was the first lot),

to them they gave Hebron in the land of Judah, and its suburbs around it;

but the fields of the city, and its villages, they gave to Caleb the son of Jephunneh.
57 Ngoài ra, con cháu A-rôn còn có các thành trú ẩn với đồng cỏ chung quanh sau đây: Thành Hếp-rôn, Líp-na, Gia-tia, Ết-tê-mô-a,
To the descendants of Aaron they gave the cities of refuge, Hebron; Libnah also with its suburbs, and Jattir, and Eshtemoa with its suburbs,
58 Hi-lên, Đê-bia,
and Hilen with its suburbs, Debir with its suburbs,
59 A-san, và Bết-sê-mết.
and Ashan with its suburbs, and Juttah with its suburbs, and Beth Shemesh with its suburbs;

To the rest of the descendants of Kohath were given by lot, out of the family of the tribe, out of the half-tribe, the half of Manasseh, ten cities.
62 Dòng Ghẹt-sôn nhận được mười ba thành, thuộc các đại tộc Y-sa-ca, A-se, Nép-ta-li, và Ma-na-se trong đất Ba-san, phía đông sông Giô-đan.
To the descendants of Gershom, according to their families, out of the tribe of Issachar, and out of the tribe of Asher, and out of the tribe of Naphtali, and out of the tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, thirteen cities.
63 Dòng Mê-ra-ri nhận được mười hai thành trong đất của các đại tộc Ru-bên, Gát, và Sa-bu-luân.
To the descendants of Merari were given by lot, according to their families, out of the tribe of Reuben, and out of the tribe of Gad, and out of the tribe of Zebulun, twelve cities.
64 Vậy, người Ít-ra-ên cấp thành và đồng cỏ chung quanh cho con cháu Lê-vi.
The children of Israel gave to the Levites the cities with their suburbs.
65 Các thành thuộc đại tộc Giu-đa, Si-mê-ôn, và Bên-gia-min là được kể tên trên đây được chỉ định cho Người Lê-vi.
They gave by lot out of the tribe of the descendants of Judah, and out of the tribe of the people of Simeon, and out of the tribe of the people of Benjamin, these cities which are mentioned by name.
66 Một số gia đình thuộc dòng Kê-hát nhận được thành từ đại tộc Ép-ra-im các thành trú ẩn với đồng cỏ chung quanh sau đây:
Some of the families of the descendants of Kohath, of the Levites, even the rest of the descendants of Kohath, had cities of their borders out of the tribe of Ephraim.
67 Si-chem (thành trú ẩn trên cao nguyên Ép-ra-im), Ghê-xe,
They gave to them the cities of refuge, Shechem in the hill country of Ephraim with its suburbs; Gezer also with its suburbs,
68 Giốc-mê-am, Bết-hô-rôn,
and Jokmeam with its suburbs, and Beth Horon with its suburbs,
69 A-gia-lôn, và Gát-rim-môn.
and Aijalon with its suburbs, and Gath Rimmon with its suburbs;

To the descendants of Gershom were given, out of the family of the half-tribe of Manasseh, Golan in Bashan with its suburbs, and Ashtaroth with its suburbs;
72 Đại tộc Y-sa-ca cấp cho họ các thành với đồng cỏ chung quanh là: Kê-đe, Đa-bê-rát,
and out of the tribe of Issachar, Kedesh with its suburbs, Daberath with its suburbs,
73 Ra-mốt, và A-nem.
and Ramoth with its suburbs, and Anem with its suburbs;

and Kedemoth with its suburbs, and Mephaath with its suburbs;
