I Sử Ký 28
1 Đa-vít hội họp tất cả các lãnh đạo Ít-ra-ên tại Giê-ru-sa-lem—các trưởng tộc, các tướng chỉ huy quân đoàn, các quan chỉ huy quân đội, các thủ lãnh, những người cai quản tài sản và gia súc hoàng gia, những người có quyền, và những dũng sĩ trong nước.
Nowe Dauid assembled all the princes of Israel: the princes of the tribes, and the captaines of the bandes that serued the King, and the captaines of thousands and the captaines of hundreths, and the rulers of all the substance and possession of the King, and of his sonnes, with the eunuches, and the mightie, and all the men of power, vnto Ierusalem.
2 Vua đứng dậy và nói: “Hỡi anh em và toàn dân của ta! Ta ước muốn xây cất đền thờ làm nơi an nghỉ cho Hòm Giao Ước của Chúa Hằng Hữu, nơi Đức Chúa Trời ngự trị. Ta đã chuẩn bị đầy đủ vật liệu,
And King Dauid stoode vp vpon his feete; and saide, Heare ye me, my brethren and my people: I purposed to haue buylt an house of rest for the Arke of the couenant of the Lord, and for a footestoole of our God, and haue made ready for the building,
3 nhưng Đức Chúa Trời bảo ta: ‘Con không được xây đền thờ cho Ta, vì con là chiến sĩ, từng làm đổ máu người.’
But God sayde vnto me, Thou shalt not buylde an house for my Name, because thou hast bene a man of warre, and hast shed blood.
4 Tuy nhiên, Chúa Hằng Hữu, Đức Chúa Trời của Ít-ra-ên đã chọn ta trong gia đình cha ta, cho ta làm vua Ít-ra-ên, triều đại ta sẽ trị vì mãi mãi. Vì Ngài đã chọn đại tộc Giu-đa để cai trị, trong đại tộc ấy lại chọn gia đình cha ta. Trong các con trai cha ta, Chúa Hằng Hữu vui chọn ta làm vua Ít-ra-ên.
Yet as the Lord God of Israel chose me before all the house of my father, to be King ouer Israel for euer (for in Iudah woulde he chuse a prince, and of the house of Iudah is the house of my father, and among the sonnes of my father he delited in me to make me King ouer all Israel)
5 Trong các con trai ta—Chúa Hằng Hữu cho ta rất đông con—Ngài chọn Sa-lô-môn kế vị ta trên ngôi Ít-ra-ên và cai trị nước của Chúa Hằng Hữu.
So of all my sonnes (for the Lord hath giuen me many sonnes) he hath euen chosen Salomon my sonne to sit vpon the throne of the kingdome of the Lord ouer Israel.
6 Ngài bảo ta: ‘Sa-lô-môn, con trai con sẽ xây Đền Thờ Ta, vì Ta đã chọn nó làm con Ta, và Ta làm Cha nó.
And he sayd vnto me, Salomon thy sonne, he shall build mine house and my courtes: for I haue chosen him to be my sonne, and I will be his father.
7 Nếu nó cứ tiếp tục vâng giữ điều răn và luật lệ như ngày nay, Ta sẽ cho nước nó vững bền mãi mãi.’
I will stablish therefore his kingdome for euer, if he endeuour himselfe to do my commandements, and my iudgements, as this day.
8 Bây giờ, trước các nhà lãnh đạo Ít-ra-ên, là dân của Đức Chúa Trời, và trước mặt Chúa Hằng Hữu, ta giao con trách nhiệm này. Hãy cẩn thận vâng giữ mọi điều răn của Chúa Hằng Hữu, Đức Chúa Trời con, nhờ đó con tiếp tục trị vì đất nước này và truyền ngôi lại cho con cháu mãi mãi.
Now therefore in the sight of all Israel the Congregation of the Lord, and in the audience of our God, keepe and seeke for all the commandements of the Lord your God, that ye may possesse this good lande, and leaue it for an inheritance for your children after you for euer.
9 Sa-lô-môn, con trai ta, con hãy học biết Đức Chúa Trời của tổ phụ cách thâm sâu. Hết lòng, hết ý thờ phượng, và phục vụ Ngài. Vì Chúa Hằng Hữu thấy rõ mỗi tấm lòng và biết hết mọi ý tưởng. Nếu tìm kiếm Chúa, con sẽ gặp Ngài. Nhưng nếu con từ bỏ Chúa, Ngài sẽ xa lìa con mãi mãi.
And thou, Salomon my sonne, know thou the God of thy father, and serue him with a perfit heart, and with a willing minde: For the Lord searcheth all hearts, and vnderstandeth all the imaginations of thoughts: if thou seeke him, he will be found of thee, but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for euer.
10 Vậy, con hãy cẩn thận. Vì Chúa Hằng Hữu đã chọn con để xây Đền Thánh của Ngài. Hãy mạnh dạn tuân hành mệnh lệnh Ngài.”
Take heede now, for the Lord hath chosen thee to buylde the house of the Sanctuarie: be strong therefore, and doe it.
11 Đa-vít trao cho Sa-lô-môn sơ đồ Đền Thờ và các vùng phụ cận, gồm ngân khố, các phòng tầng trên, phòng bên trong và nơi chí thánh để nắp chuộc tội.
Then Dauid gaue to Salomon his sonne the paterne of the porch and of the houses thereof, and of the closets thereof, and of the galleries thereof, and of the chambers thereof that are within, and of the house of the mercieseate,
12 Đa-vít cũng trao Sa-lô-môn sơ đồ về hành lang Đền Thờ Chúa Hằng Hữu, các phòng bên ngoài, kho đền thờ, và kho chứa các vật dâng hiến, đó là các sơ đồ được bày tỏ cho Đa-vít.
And the paterne of all that he had in his minde for the courtes of the house of the Lord, and for all the chambers round about, for the treasures of the house of God, and for the treasures of the dedicate things,
13 Vua cũng ban huấn thị về việc phân công cho các thầy tế lễ và người Lê-vi, về việc phục dịch Đền Thờ Chúa Hằng Hữu, và về tất cả vật dụng trong Đền Thờ dùng trong việc thờ phượng.
And for the courses of the Priestes, and of the Leuites, and for all the woorke for the seruice of the house of the Lord, and for all the vessels of the ministerie of the house of the Lord.
14 Đa-vít cho cân đủ số lượng vàng và bạc để chế các vật dụng đó.
He gaue of golde by weight, for the vessels of gold, for all the vessels of all maner of seruice, and all the vessels of siluer by weight, for all maner vessels of all maner of seruice.
15 Ông dặn Sa-lô-môn dùng vàng để làm chân đèn và đèn, bạc để làm chân đèn và đèn, tùy theo cách sử dụng mỗi chân đèn.
The weight also of golde for the candlestickes, and gold for their lampes, with the weight for euery candlesticke, and for the lampes thereof, and for the candlestickes of siluer by the weight of the candlesticke, and the lampes thereof, according to the vse of euery candlesticke,
16 Vua cho cân vàng để chế các bàn để Bánh Hiện Diện, cân bạc để chế các bàn bằng bạc.
And the weight of the gold for the tables of shewbread, for euery table, and siluer for the tables of siluer,
17 Đa-vít cân vàng ròng để làm nĩa, chậu và ly; cân vàng để làm chén vàng; và cân bạc làm chén bạc.
And pure golde for the fleshhookes, and the bowles, and plates, and for basens, golde in weight for euery basen, and for siluer basens, by weight for euery basen,
18 Vua cũng cân vàng tinh chế để làm bàn thờ xông hương. Cuối cùng, vua đưa cho Sa-lô-môn sơ đồ làm xe với các chê-ru-bim có cánh xòe ra trên Hòm Giao Ước của Chúa Hằng Hữu.
And for the altar of incense, pure golde by weight, and golde for the paterne of the charet of the Cherubs that spread themselues, and couered the Arke of the couenant of the Lord:
19 Đa-vít bảo Sa-lô-môn: “Tất cả các sơ đồ này, chính tay Chúa Hằng Hữu đã ghi lại cho ta.”
All, said he, by writing sent to me by the hand of the Lord, which made me vnderstand all the workemanship of the paterne.
20 Rồi Đa-vít tiếp: “Hãy mạnh dạn và can đảm thực hiện chương trình. Đừng sợ hãi hay sờn lòng, vì Chúa Hằng Hữu, Đức Chúa Trời của cha ở với con. Ngài chẳng lìa con, chẳng bỏ con cho đến khi hoàn tất việc xây cất Đền Thờ.
And Dauid said to Salomon his sonne, Be strong, and of a valiant courage and doe it: feare not, nor be afraide: for the Lord God, euen my God is with thee: he will not leaue thee nor forsake thee till thou hast finished all the worke for the seruice of the house of the Lord.
21 Các nhóm thầy tế lễ và người Lê-vi sẽ thực hiện mọi việc cho Đền Thờ Đức Chúa Trời. Những thợ lành nghề sẽ vui lòng giúp con kiến thiết, các vị lãnh đạo và toàn dân sẽ tuân hành mệnh lệnh con.”
Beholde also, the companies of the Priests and the Leuites for all the seruice of the house of God, euen they shall be with thee for the whole worke, with euery free heart that is skilfull in any maner of seruice. The princes also and all the people will be wholy at thy commandement.
