I Sử Ký 18

1 Sau đó, Đa-vít chiến thắng Phi-li-tin và bắt họ quy phục, chiếm lấy Gát và các thành phụ cận.

And it was after thus and he struck down David [the] Philistines and he subdued them and he took Gath and daughters its from [the] hand of [the] Philistines.

2 Đa-vít cũng chiến thắng người Mô-áp, bắt dân ấy phục dịch và triều cống.

And he struck down Moab and they became Moab subjects of David bearers of tribute.

3 Đa-vít còn đánh bại Ha-đa-đê-xe, vua Xô-ba, cho đến tận Ha-mát, khi Ha-đa-đê-xe đang lo khôi phục quyền hành ở miền Ơ-phơ-rát.

And he struck down David Hadadezer [the] king of Zobah Hamath towards when went he to establish monument his at [the] river of Euphrates.

4 Đa-vít bắt được 1.000 chiến xa, 7.000 kỵ binh, và 20.000 bộ binh. Ông cho cắt nhượng chân ngựa kéo xe, chỉ chừa lại 100 con mà thôi.

And he captured David from him one thousand chariot[s] and seven thousand horsemen and twenty thousand man on foot and he hamstrung David all the chariotry and he left of it one hundred chariot[s].

5 Khi quân A-ram từ Đa-mách kéo đến tiếp viện cho Ha-đa-đê-xe, vua Xô-ba, Đa-vít giết 22.000 lính.

And it came Aram Damascus to help Hadadezer [the] king of Zobah and he struck down David in Aram twenty and two thousand man.

6 Sau đó, vua đặt một đoàn quân trú phòng tại Đa-mách, thủ đô nước A-ram. Vậy, người A-ram cũng phải triều cống cho Đa-vít. Bất luận Đa-vít đi đến đâu, Chúa Hằng Hữu cũng cho vua chiến thắng.

And he put David in Aram Damascus and it became Aram of David subjects bearers of tribute and he gave victory Yahweh to David in every where he went.

7 Đa-vít thu các áo giáp bằng vàng của các tướng sĩ của Ha-đa-đê-xe, đem về Giê-ru-sa-lem,

And he took David [the] shields of gold which they were on [the] servants of Hadadezer and he brought them Jerusalem.

8 luôn với một số lượng đồng rất lớn thu tại các thành phố Ti-hát và Cum của Vua Ha-đa-đê-xe. Về sau Sa-lô-môn nấu số đồng này để kiến thiết Đền Thờ, như chế tạo cái hồ nước, các cột trụ và các dụng cụ dâng sinh tế trên bàn thờ.

And from Tibhath and from Kun [the] cities of Hadadezer he took David bronze much very with it - he made Solomon [the] sea of bronze and the pillars and [the] articles of bronze.

9 Khi Tô-hu, vua Ha-mát, được tin Đa-vít đã đánh tan tất cả quân đội của Ha-đa-đê-xe, vua Xô-ba,

And he heard Tou [the] king of Hamath that he had struck down David all [the] army of Hadadezer [the] king of Zobah.

10 vua Ha-mát là Thôi sai Hoàng tử Giô-ram đi mừng Đa-vít, vì giữa Ha-đa-đê-xe với Thôi vẫn chiến tranh liên miên. Giô-ram đem biếu Đa-vít những tặng vật bằng vàng, bạc và đồng.

And he sent Hadoram son his to the king David (to ask *Q(k)*) of him to welfare and to bless him on that he had fought against Hadadezer and he had defeated him for man of wars of Tou he was Hadadezer and all articles of gold and silver and bronze.

11 Đa-vít biệt ra thánh cho Chúa Hằng Hữu tất cả bạc vàng đã thu được trong các nước: Ê-đôm, Mô-áp, Am-môn, Phi-li-tin, và A-ma-léc.

Also them he consecrated the king David to Yahweh with the silver and the gold which he had taken away from all the nations from Edom and from Moab and from [the] people of Ammon and from [the] Philistines and from Amalek.

12 A-bi-sai, con Xê-ru-gia, đã tiêu diệt 18.000 quân Ê-đôm tại Trũng Muối.

And Abishai [the] son of Zeruiah he struck down Edom in [the] Valley of Salt eight-teen thousand.

13 Ông còn sai quân chiếm đóng Ê-đôm, dân nước này phải phục dịch Đa-vít. Chúa Hằng Hữu cho Đa-vít chiến thắng khải hoàn bất cứ nơi nào ông đến.

And he put in Edom garrisons and they became all Edom subjects of David and he gave victory to Yahweh David in every where he went.

14 Vậy, Đa-vít cai trị Ít-ra-ên, thực thi công lý và bình đẳng cho mọi người.

And he reigned David over all Israel and he was doing justice and righteousness for all people his.

15 Giô-áp, con của Xê-ru-gia, làm tướng chỉ huy quân đội, Giê-hô-sa-phát, con của A-hi-lút, làm ngự sử.

And Joab [the] son of Zeruiah [was] over the army and Jehoshaphat [the] son of Ahilud [was the] recorder.

16 Xa-đốc, con A-hi-túp, và A-bi-mê-léc, con A-bia-tha, hành chức tế lễ. Sa-vê-sa làm tổng thư ký.

And Zadok [the] son of Ahitub and Abimelech [the] son of Abiathar [were] priests and Shavsha [was the] scribe.

17 Bê-na-gia, con của Giê-hô-gia-đa chỉ huy đoàn vệ binh người Kê-rê-thít và Phê-lết. Các hoàng tử đều phò tá cho vua.

And Benaiah [the] son of Jehoiada [was] over the Kerethite[s] and the Pelethite[s] and [the] sons of David [were] the first to [the] side of the king.
