I Sử Ký 16
1 Họ đem Hòm Giao Ước của Đức Chúa Trời đặt trong lều đặc biệt mà Đa-vít đã dựng lên. Rồi họ dâng các tế lễ thiêu và tế lễ bình an trước mặt Đức Chúa Trời.
And so they took the ark of God, and they set it in the midst of the tabernacle, which David had pitched for it. And they offered holocausts and peace offerings before God.
2 Dâng tế lễ xong, Đa-vít nhân danh Chúa chúc phước lành cho dân.
And when David had completed offering holocausts and peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the Lord.
3 Ông phân phát mỗi người, nam lẫn nữ trong Ít-ra-ên, một ổ bánh, một miếng thịt, và một chiếc bánh nho.
And he divided to every single one, from men even to women, a twist of bread, and a piece of roasted beef, and fine wheat flour fried with oil.
4 Đa-vít cử một số người Lê-vi phục vụ trước Hòm Giao Ước của Chúa để cầu nguyện, cảm tạ, và ca ngợi Chúa Hằng Hữu là Đức Chúa Trời của Ít-ra-ên.
And he appointed some from the Levites who would minister before the ark of the Lord, and commemorate his works, and glorify and praise the Lord, the God of Israel.
5 A-sáp, trưởng ban, đánh chập chõa. Kế đến là Xa-cha-ri, tiếp theo là Giê-i-ên, Sê-mi-ra-mốt, Giê-hi-ên, Ma-ti-thia, Ê-li-áp, Bê-na-gia, Ô-bết Ê-đôm, và Giê-i-ên là các nhạc công đàn hạc và đàn lia.
Asaph was the leader, and second to him was Zechariah. In addition, there were Jeiel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Mattithiah, and Eliab, and Benaiah, and Obededom. And Jeiel was over the instruments of the psaltery and the harps. But Asaph sounded out with the cymbals.
6 Hai Thầy Tế lễ Bê-na-gia và Gia-ha-xi-ên thổi kèn liên tục trước Hòm Giao Ước của Đức Chúa Trời.
Truly, the priests, Benaiah and Jahaziel, were to sound the trumpet continually before the ark of the covenant of the Lord.
7 Trong ngày đó, Đa-vít đưa cho A-sáp và những người Lê-vi theo ông bài hát tạ ơn Chúa Hằng Hữu:
In that day, David made Asaph the leader, in order to confess to the Lord with his brothers:
8 Ôi, hãy cảm tạ, kêu cầu Danh Chúa, hãy thuật lại cho các dân tộc khắp thế gian. Về những công việc vĩ đại Ngài thực hiện.
“Confess to the Lord, and invoke his name. Make known his endeavors among the peoples.
9 Hãy hát xướng, ca ngợi Chân Thần, kể hết các thành tích kỳ diệu của Ngài.
Sing to him, and sing psalms to him, and describe all his miracles.
10 Hãy lấy Danh Thánh Ngài làm vinh, tất cả những người tìm kiếm Chúa, hãy hân hoan.
Praise his holy name! Let the heart of those who seek the Lord rejoice!
11 Hãy tìm kiếm Chúa và thần năng lực, hãy tìm kiếm mặt Ngài mãi mãi.
Seek the Lord and his virtue. Seek his face always.
12 Hãy ghi nhớ những công trình vĩ đại, các việc kỳ diệu Chúa hoàn thành, và lời phán xét vô cùng cao cả.
Remember his miracles, which he has accomplished, his signs, and the judgments of his mouth.
13 Hỡi các đầy tớ Chúa, hậu tự Ít-ra-ên, các dòng dõi được chọn của Gia-cốp!
O offspring of Israel, his servants! O sons of Jacob, his elect!
14 Ngài là Chúa Hằng Hữu, Đức Chúa Trời chúng ta. Ngài phán xét khắp cả nhân gian.
He is the Lord our God. His judgments are throughout all the earth.
15 Chúa lưu ý giao ước Ngài mãi mãi, nhớ Lời Ngài truyền phán suốt muôn năm.
Remember forever his covenant, the word that he instructed unto a thousand generations,
16 Nhớ giao ước Ngài lập với Áp-ra-ham, cùng lời Ngài thề hứa với Y-sác.
the covenant that he formed with Abraham, and his oath with Isaac.
17 Gia-cốp được Ngài ban một giao ước đời đời:
And he appointed the same to Jacob as a precept, and to Israel as an everlasting pact,
18 “Ta sẽ cho ngươi đất Ca-na-an làm phần cơ nghiệp.”
saying: ‘To you, I will give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance.’
19 Khi họ còn là một thiểu số, một nhóm người không đáng kể đang kiều ngụ trong xứ Ca-na-an.
At that time, they were small in number, they were few and were settlers there.
20 Lưu lạc giữa các dân tộc từ nước này qua nước khác, lang thang.
And they passed through, from nation to nation, and from one kingdom to another people.
21 Chúa không cho ai được ra tay áp bức, Ngài quở trách các vua để bênh vực tuyển dân:
He did not permit anyone to falsely accuse them. Instead, he reproved kings on their behalf:
22 “Đừng động đến những người Ta xức dầu, đừng làm hại các tiên tri Ta chọn!”
‘Do not touch my Christ. And do not malign my prophets.’
23 Thế giới hỡi, hãy hát mừng Thiên Chúa! Ngày lại ngày, hãy thuật lại cứu ân.
Sing to the Lord, all the earth! Announce his salvation, from day to day.
24 Hãy tôn cao vinh quang Ngài giữa các nước. Công bố việc diệu kỳ Ngài cho mọi dân.
Describe his glory among the Gentiles, his miracles among all the peoples.
25 Vì Đấng Hằng Hữu thật là vĩ đại! Ngài đáng kính sợ ca ngợi hơn các thần.
For the Lord is great and exceedingly praiseworthy. And he is terrible, above all gods.
26 Vì thần của các dân chỉ là thần tượng, còn Chúa Hằng Hữu sáng tạo vũ trụ.
For all the gods of the peoples are idols. But the Lord made the heavens.
27 Trước mặt Chúa, rực rỡ vinh quang; nơi Chúa ngự đầy uy nghi quyền lực.
Confession and magnificence are before him. Strength and gladness are in his place.
28 Hỡi các khối dân tộc, hãy tôn vinh Chúa Hằng Hữu vinh quang và quyền năng.
Bring to the Lord, O families of the peoples, bring to the Lord glory and dominion.
29 Hãy tôn vinh Chúa cho xứng đáng! Đem lễ vật cung hiến trước mặt Ngài. Hãy quỳ lạy khi đức thánh khiết Ngài chiếu rạng.
Give glory to the Lord, to his name. Lift up sacrifice, and approach before his sight. And adore the Lord in holy attire.
30 Hỡi cả thế giới, hãy run rẩy trước Chân Thần! Địa cầu vẫn vững bền, không sụp đổ.
Let all the earth be moved before his face. For he founded the globe immoveable.
31 Các tầng trời, cũng hãy hân hoan! Nhân gian hãy vui mừng, hớn hở. Tất cả các dân, hãy tung hô rằng: “Chúa Hằng Hữu ngự trị khắp vũ trụ và thế nhân!”
Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth exult. And let them say among the nations, ‘The Lord has reigned.’
32 Các đại dương và cá biển hãy gầm thét! Các đồng ruộng hãy liên hoan!
Let the sea roar, with all its plenitude. Let the fields exult, with all that is in them.
33 Các cây cối trên rừng thẳm, hãy hát mừng trước mặt Ngài, vì Chúa ngự đến xét xử thế gian.
Then the trees of the forest will give praise before the Lord. For he comes to judge the earth.
34 Ô! Hãy cảm tạ Chúa vì Ngài chí thiện! Lòng từ ái Chúa tồn tại muôn năm.
Confess to the Lord, for he is good. For his mercy is eternal.
35 Hãy kêu xin Ngài: “Lạy Đấng Cứu Rỗi! Từ các quốc gia khắp thế gian, xin cứu vớt, tập họp, và giải thoát, để chúng con ghi ân cảm tạ, và được vinh dự ca ngợi Thánh Danh.”
And say: ‘Save us, O God our savior! And gather us together, and rescue us from the nations, so that we may confess to your holy name, and may exult in your songs.
36 Ngợi tôn Chúa Hằng Hữu, Đức Chúa Trời của Ít-ra-ên, Ngài đáng chúc tụng đời đời mãi mãi! Tất cả dân đều đồng thanh đáp: “A-men!” và ngợi tôn Chúa Hằng Hữu.
Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, from eternity to eternity.’ And let all the people say, ‘Amen,’ and let them sing a hymn to the Lord.”
37 Vua Đa-vít chỉ định A-sáp và các anh em người giữ nhiệm vụ coi sóc Hòm Giao Ước của Chúa Hằng Hữu, để chia phiên phục vụ hằng ngày.
And so, there before the ark of the covenant of the Lord, he left Asaph and his brothers, so that they might minister in the sight of the ark continually, throughout each day, and in their turns.
38 Ô-bết Ê-đôm (con Giê-đu-thun), Hô-sa và sáu mươi tám người Lê-vi được cắt canh gác cửa.
Now Obededom and his brothers were sixty-eight. And he appointed Obededom, the son of Jeduthun, and Hosah to be porters.
39 Thầy Tế lễ Xa-đốc và đoàn thể các thầy tế lễ phục vụ tại Đền Tạm của Chúa Hằng Hữu, tại nơi thờ phượng trong Ga-ba-ôn.
But Zadok the priest, and his brothers the priests, were before the tabernacle of the Lord in the high place, which was in Gibeon,
40 Mỗi buổi sáng và buổi chiều, họ dâng tế lễ thiêu trên bàn thờ cho Chúa, đúng theo Luật Lệ Chúa Hằng Hữu truyền dạy người Ít-ra-ên.
so that they could offer holocausts to the Lord upon the altar of holocausts continually, morning and evening, according to all that was written in the law of the Lord, which he instructed to Israel.
41 Đa-vít cũng chỉ định Hê-man, Giê-đu-thun, và những người được chọn đích danh để hát cảm tạ Chúa Hằng Hữu, vì “lòng thương xót Ngài còn đến đời đời.”
And after him, Heman, and Jeduthun, and the remainder of the elect, each one by his name, were appointed to confess to the Lord: “For his mercy endures forever.”
42 Họ cũng thổi kèn và đánh chập chõa, hòa tấu với dàn nhạc cử các bài thánh ca ngợi tôn Đức Chúa Trời. Các con trai của Giê-đu-thun được chỉ định giữ nhiệm vụ gác cửa.
Also Heman and Jeduthun sounded the trumpet, and they played upon the cymbals, and upon every kind of musical instrument, in order to sing praises to God. But the sons of Jeduthun he made to be porters.
43 Xong buổi lễ, dân chúng chia tay, ai về nhà nấy. Đa-vít cũng về cung để chúc phước lành cho hoàng tộc.
And all the people returned to their houses, and David also, so that he might bless his own house too.
