I Sử Ký 15

1 Đa-vít xây cung điện trong Thành Đa-vít, và chuẩn bị một lều đặc biệt để rước Hòm Giao Ước của Đức Chúa Trời.

And he maketh for himself houses in the city of David, and prepareth a place for the ark of God, and stretcheth out for it a tent.

2 Vua ra lệnh: “Không ai được khiêng vác ngoại trừ người Lê-vi, vì Đức Chúa Trời đã chọn họ khiêng Hòm Giao Ước của Chúa Hằng Hữu và họ sẽ phục vụ Chúa đời đời!”

Then said David, 'None [are] to carry the ark of God, except the Levites, for on them hath Jehovah fixed to carry the ark of God, and to serve Him — unto the age.'

3 Đa-vít triệu tập toàn dân về Giê-ru-sa-lem để rước Hòm Giao Ước của Chúa Hằng Hữu vào nơi ông đã chuẩn bị.

And David assembleth all Israel unto Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of Jehovah unto its place that he had prepared for it.

4 Đây là số các con cháu A-rôn và người Lê-vi hiện diện:

And David gathereth the sons of Aaron, and the Levites.

5 Từ tộc Kê-hát, 120 người dưới quyền lãnh đạo của U-ri-ên.

Of sons of Kohath: Uriel the chief, and his brethren, a hundred and twenty.

6 Từ tộc Mê-ra-ri, 220 người dưới quyền lãnh đạo của A-sa-gia.

Of sons of Merari: Asaiah the chief, and his brethren, two hundred and twenty.

7 Từ tộc Ghẹt-sôn, 130 người dưới quyền lãnh đạo của Giô-ên.

Of sons of Gershom: Joel the chief, and his brethren, a hundred and thirty.

8 Từ tộc Ê-li-sa-phan, 200 người dưới quyền lãnh đạo của Sê-ma-gia.

Of sons of Elizaphan: Shemaiah the chief, and his brethren, two hundred.

9 Từ tộc Hếp-rôn, 80 người dưới quyền lãnh đạo của Ê-li-ên.

Of sons of Hebron: Eliel the chief, and his brethren, eighty.

10 Từ tộc U-xi-ên, 112 người dưới quyền lãnh đạo của A-mi-na-đáp.

Of sons of Uzziel: Amminadab the chief, and his brethren, a hundred and twelve.

11 Đa-vít triệu tập hai thầy tế lễ là Xa-đốc và A-bia-tha, các trưởng tộc người Lê-vi là U-ri-ên, A-sa-gia, Giô-ên, Sê-ma-gia, Ê-li-ên, và A-mi-na-đáp.

And David calleth to Zadok and to Abiathar the priests, and to the Levites, to Uriel, Asaiah, and Joel, Shemaiah, and Eliel, and Amminadab,

12 Ông nói với họ: “Các ngươi là cấp lãnh đạo người Lê-vi. Bây giờ, hãy cùng với các anh em thanh tẩy mình, để được xứng đáng khiêng Hòm Giao Ước của Chúa Hằng Hữu, Đức Chúa Trời của Ít-ra-ên đến nơi ta đã chuẩn bị.

and saith to them, 'Ye [are] heads of the fathers of the Levites; sanctify yourselves, ye and your brethren, and ye have brought up the ark of Jehovah, God of Israel, unto [the place] I have prepared for it;

13 Lần trước, vì các ngươi không làm như vậy và vì chúng ta không vâng giữ các mệnh lệnh Chúa Hằng Hữu, Đức Chúa Trời của chúng ta, đã truyền dạy, nên Ngài đã nổi thịnh nộ với chúng ta.”

because at the first [it was] not ye, Jehovah our God made a breach upon us, because we sought Him not according to the ordinance.'

14 Vậy, các thầy tế lễ và người Lê-vi làm lễ tẩy uế, dọn mình thánh sạch để dời Hòm của Chúa Hằng Hữu, Đức Chúa Trời của Ít-ra-ên.

And the priests and the Levites sanctify themselves, to bring up the ark of Jehovah, God of Israel;

15 Các người Lê-vi dùng đòn khiêng Hòm của Đức Chúa Trời trên vai mình, đúng như lời Chúa Hằng Hữu đã truyền bảo Môi-se.

and sons of the Levites bear the ark of God, as Moses commanded, according to the word of Jehovah, on their shoulder, with staves, above them.

16 Vua Đa-vít ra lệnh cho các nhà lãnh đạo người Lê-vi tổ chức các ca đoàn và ban nhạc. Các ca sĩ và các nhạc công hân hoan ca hát và cử nhạc vang lừng bằng đàn hạc, đàn cầm, và chập chõa.

And David saith to the heads of the Levites to appoint their brethren the singers, with instruments of song, psalteries, and harps, and cymbals, sounding, to lift up with the voice for joy.

17 Người Lê-vi cử Hê-man, con Giô-ên, A-sáp, con Bê-rê-kia, và Ê-than, con Cu-sa-gia thuộc tộc Mê-ra-ri.

And the Levites appoint Heman son of Joel, and of his brethren, Asaph son of Berechiah, and of the sons of Merari their brethren, Ethan son of Kushaiah;

18 Những người sau đây được chọn làm phụ tá cho họ: Xa-cha-ri, Bên, Gia-xi-ên, Sê-mi-ra-mốt, Giê-hi-ên, U-ni, Ê-li-áp, Bê-na-gia, Ma-a-xê-gia, Ma-ti-thia, Ê-li-phê-lê, Mích-nê-gia, và những người canh cửa là Ô-bết Ê-đôm, và Giê-i-ên.

and with them their brethren, the seconds [in rank], Zechariah, Ben, and Jaaziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Unni, Eliab, and Benaiah, and Maaseiah, and Mattithiah, and Elipheleh, and Mikneiah; and Obed-Edom and Jeiel the gatekeepers;

19 Các nhạc công Hê-man, A-sáp và Ê-than được chọn đánh chập chõa.

and the singers, Heman, Asaph, and Ethan, with cymbals of brass to sound,

20 Xa-cha-ri, A-xiên, Sê-mi-ra-mốt, Giê-hi-ên, U-ni, Ê-li-áp, Ma-a-xê-gia, và Bê-na-gia được chọn đệm đàn hạc.

and Zechariah, and Aziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jeheil, and Unni, and Eliab, and Maaseiah, and Benaiah, with psalteries besides virgins,

21 Ma-ti-thia, Ê-li-phê-lê, Mích-nê-gia, Ô-bết Ê-đôm, Giê-i-ên, và A-xa-ria được chọn chơi đàn cầm.

and Mattithiah, and Elipheleh, and Mikneiah, and Obed-Edom, and Jeiel, and Azaziah, with harps, on the octave, to oversee.

22 Kê-na-nia, trưởng tộc người Lê-vi, vì có tài âm nhạc nên được cử điều khiển ban nhạc.

And Chenaniah, head of the Levites, [is] over the burden; he instructeth about the burden, for he [is] intelligent.

23 Bê-rê-kia và Ên-ca-na được chọn canh giữ Hòm.

And Berechiah and Elkanah [are] gatekeepers for the ark.

24 Các Thầy Tế lễ Sê-ba-nia, Giô-sa-phát, Na-tha-na-ên, A-ma-sai, Xa-cha-ri, Bê-na-gia, và Ê-li-ê-se làm đội kèn đi đầu Hòm Giao Ước của Đức Chúa Trời. Ô-bết Ê-đôm và Giê-hi-gia cũng được chọn canh giữ Hòm Giao Ước.

And Shebaniah, and Joshaphat, and Nethaneel, and Amasai, and Zechariah, and Benaiah, and Eliezer the priests, are blowing with trumpets before the ark of God; and Obed-Edom and Jehiah [are] gatekeepers for the ark.

25 Vậy, Đa-vít, cùng các trưởng lão Ít-ra-ên, và các tướng lãnh, đến nhà của Ô-bết Ê-đôm rước Hòm Giao Ước của Chúa Hằng Hữu cách long trọng.

And it is David, and the elders of Israel, and the heads of the thousands, who are going to bring up the ark of the covenant of Jehovah from the house of Obed-Edom with joy;

26 Vì Đức Chúa Trời phù hộ những người Lê-vi khiêng Hòm Giao Ước của Chúa Hằng Hữu, nên người ta dâng bảy con bò đực và bảy con chiên đực.

and it cometh to pass, in God's helping the Levites bearing the ark of the covenant of Jehovah, that they sacrifice seven bullocks and seven rams.

27 Đa-vít, các người Lê-vi khiêng hòm giao ước, ca đoàn và nhạc trưởng Kê-na-nia đều mặc áo dài vải gai mịn. Đa-vít cũng mặc chiếc áo choàng bằng vải gai.

And David is wrapped in an upper robe of fine linen, and all the Levites who are bearing the ark, and the singers, and Chenaniah head of the burden of the singers; and on David [is] an Ephod of linen.

28 Vậy, các cấp lãnh đạo Ít-ra-ên rước Hòm Giao Ước của Chúa Hằng Hữu về Giê-ru-sa-lem với tiếng tung hô mừng rỡ, với điệu kèn và tù và, với chập chõa vang rền, với đàn hạc và đàn cầm réo rắt.

And all Israel are bringing up the ark of the covenant of Jehovah with shouting, and with the sound of a cornet, and with trumpets, and with cymbals, sounding with psalteries and harps,

29 Khi Hòm Giao Ước của Chúa Hằng Hữu vào Thành Đa-vít, Mi-canh, con gái Sau-lơ, nhìn qua cửa sổ thấy Vua Đa-vít nhảy múa vui mừng thì trong lòng khinh bỉ vua.

and it cometh to pass, the ark of the covenant of Jehovah is entering in unto the city of David, and Michal daughter of Saul is looking through the window, and seeth king David dancing and playing, and despiseth him in her heart.
