I Sử Ký 14

1 Hi-ram, vua Ty-rơ, sai sứ giả đem một đoàn thợ nề, thợ mộc, chở theo nhiều gỗ bá hương để giúp xây cất một cung điện cho Vua Đa-vít.

And he sent (Huram *Q(K)*) [the] king of Tyre messengers to David and wood of cedar and craftsmen of a wall and craftsmen of wood to build for him a house.

2 Đa-vít nhận thức rằng việc Chúa Hằng Hữu lập ông làm vua Ít-ra-ên và cho nước cường thịnh chứng tỏ Ngài đã ban phước dồi dào vì lợi ích của Ít-ra-ên, dân Ngài.

And he knew David that he had appointed him Yahweh to king over Israel that [was] exalted upwards kingdom his for sake of people his Israel.

3 Tại Giê-ru-sa-lem, Đa-vít cưới thêm mấy vợ khác và sinh thêm nhiều con trai, con gái.

And he took David again wives in Jerusalem and he fathered David again sons and daughters.

4 Đây là tên các con trai Đa-vít sinh tại Giê-ru-sa-lem: Sa-mua, Sô-báp, Na-than, Sa-lô-môn,

And these [are] [the] names of the [ones] born who they belonged to him in Jerusalem Shammua and Shobab Nathan and Solomon.

5 Gi-ba, Ê-li-sua, Ên-bê-lết,

And Ibhar and Elishua and Elpelet.

6 Nô-ga, Nê-phết, Gia-phia,

And Nogah and Nepheg and Japhia.

7 Ê-li-sa-ma, Bê-ên-gia-đa, và Ê-li-phê-lết.

And Elishama and Beeliada and Eliphelet.

8 Nghe tin Đa-vít đã lên ngôi làm vua nước Ít-ra-ên, quân Phi-li-tin kéo toàn lực tấn công để bắt Đa-vít. Được tin báo, Đa-vít lập tức đem quân nghênh chiến.

And they heard [the] Philistines that he had been anointed David to king over all Israel and they went up all [the] Philistines to seek David and he heard David and he went out before them.

9 Thấy quân Phi-li-tin đang tràn vào thung lũng Rê-pha-im,

And [the] Philistines they had come and they had made a raid in [the] valley of [the] Rephaites.

10 Đa-vít cầu hỏi Đức Chúa Trời: “Con có nên tiến đánh quân Phi-li-tin không? Chúa có cho con chiến thắng quân địch không?” Chúa Hằng Hữu đáp: “Con cứ tấn công! Ta sẽ cho con chiến thắng!”

And he enquired David by God saying ¿ will I go up on ([the] Philistines *Q(k)*) and will you give? them in hand my and he said to him Yahweh go up and I will give them in hand your.

11 Vậy, Đa-vít và quân của ông kéo lên Ba-anh Phê-ra-xin và tiêu diệt quân Phi-li-tin tại đó. Ông nói: “Đức Chúa Trời đã dùng ta quét sạch địch quân như nước phá vỡ bờ đê.” Vì thế, họ gọi địa điểm này là Ba-anh Phê-rát-sim (phá vỡ).

And they went up at Baal Perazim and he struck down them there David and he said David he has burst out against God enemies my by hand my like a bursting out of water there-fore people called [the] name of the place that Baal Perazim.

12 Quân Phi-li-tin bỏ lại nhiều thần tượng của chúng tại đó, nên Đa-vít ra lệnh đem đốt tất cả trong lửa.

And they abandoned there gods their and he spoke David and they were burned with fire.

13 Người Phi-li-tin lại đem quân tràn vào thung lũng ấy một lần nữa.

And they repeated again [the] Philistines and they made a raid in the valley.

14 Đa-vít lại cầu hỏi Đức Chúa Trời để biết cách ứng phó. Đức Chúa Trời phán: “Đừng tấn công thẳng tới, nhưng đi vòng sau lưng địch để tấn công chúng gần rừng dâu.

And he enquired again David by God and he said to him God not you will go up after them go around from on them and you will come to them from [the] front of the balsam trees.

15 Khi nào con nghe tiếng chân bước trên các ngọn dâu, con hãy khai chiến vì Đức Chúa Trời sẽ đi ra trước mặt con để đánh quân Phi-li-tin.”

So may it be when hearing you [the] sound of marching in [the] tops of the balsam trees then you will go out in battle for he has gone out God before you to strike down [the] camp of [the] Philistines.

16 Đa-vít vâng lời Đức Chúa Trời, và đánh tan quân đội Phi-li-tin từ Ga-ba-ôn đến Ghê-xe.

And he did David just as he had commanded him God and they struck down [the] camp of [the] Philistines from Gibeon and to Gezer.

17 Danh tiếng của Đa-vít lan tràn khắp nơi và Chúa Hằng Hữu khiến các quốc gia đều kính sợ người.

And it went out [the] name of David in all the lands and Yahweh he put dread of him on all the nations.
