< Pǝnd-nǝsiⱨǝtlǝr 23 >
1 Katta ǝrbab bilǝn ⱨǝmdastihan bolsang, Aldingdiki kim ikǝnlikini obdan oylan.
When thou sittest to eat with a ruler, consider well him that is before thee;
2 Ixtiying yaman bolsa, Gelingƣa piqaⱪ tǝnglǝp turƣandǝk ɵzüngni tart.
And put a knife to thy throat, if thou be a man given to appetite.
3 Uning nazunemǝtlirini tama ⱪilma, Ular adǝm aldaydiƣan tamaⱪlardur.
Be not desirous of his dainties; seeing they are deceitful food.
4 Bay bolimǝn dǝp ɵzüngni upratma; Ɵzüngning zeⱨningni bu ixⱪa ⱪaratma.
Weary not thyself to be rich; cease from thine own wisdom.
5 [Bayliⱪlarƣa] kɵz tikixing bilǝnla, ular yoⱪ bolidu; Pul-mal dǝrwǝⱪǝ ɵzigǝ ⱪanat yasap, Huddi bürküttǝk asmanƣa uqup ketǝr.
Wilt thou set thine eyes upon it? it is gone; for riches certainly make themselves wings, like an eagle that flieth toward heaven.
6 Aq kɵzning nenini yemǝ, Uning esil nazunemǝtlirini tama ⱪilma;
Eat thou not the bread of him that hath an evil eye, neither desire thou his dainties;
7 Qünki uning kɵngli ⱪandaⱪ bolƣandǝk, ɵzimu xundaⱪ. U aƣzida: — Ⱪeni, alsila, iqsilǝ! — desimu, Biraⱪ kɵnglidǝ seni oyliƣini yoⱪ.
For as one that hath reckoned within himself, so is he: 'Eat and drink', saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.
8 Yegǝn bir yutum taamnimu ⱪusuwetisǝn, Uningƣa ⱪilƣan qirayliⱪ sɵzliringmu bikarƣa kǝtkǝn bolidu.
The morsel which thou hast eaten shalt thou vomit up, and lose thy sweet words.
9 Əhmǝⱪⱪǝ yol kɵrsitip salma, Qünki u ǝⱪil sɵzliringni kɵzgǝ ilmas.
Speak not in the ears of a fool; for he will despise the wisdom of thy words.
10 Ⱪǝdimdǝ bekitkǝn yǝrning pasil taxlirini yɵtkimǝ, Yetimlarning etizliriƣimu ayaƣ basma;
Remove not the ancient landmark; and enter not into the fields of the fatherless;
11 Qünki ularning Ⱨǝmjǝmǝt-Ⱪutⱪuzƣuqisi intayin küqlüktur; U Ɵzi ular üqün üstüngdin dǝwa ⱪilar.
For their Redeemer is strong; He will plead their cause with thee.
12 Nǝsiⱨǝtkǝ kɵngül ⱪoy, Ilim-bilimlǝrgǝ ⱪulaⱪ sal.
Apply thy heart unto instruction, and thine ears to the words of knowledge.
13 Balangƣa tǝrbiyǝ berixtin erinmǝ; Əgǝr tayaⱪ bilǝn ursang, u ɵlüp kǝtmǝydu;
Withhold not correction from the child; for though thou beat him with the rod, he will not die.
14 Sǝn uni tayaⱪ bilǝn ursang, Bǝlkim uni tǝⱨtisaradin ⱪutⱪuziwalisǝn. (Sheol )
Thou beatest him with the rod, and wilt deliver his soul from the nether-world. (Sheol )
15 I oƣlum, dana bolsang, Mening ⱪǝlbim ⱪanqǝ hux bolar idi!
My son, if thy heart be wise, my heart will be glad, even mine;
16 Aƣzingda orunluⱪ sɵzlǝr bolsa, iq-iqimdin xadlinimǝn.
Yea, my reins will rejoice, when thy lips speak right things.
17 Gunaⱨ sadir ⱪilƣuqilarƣa rǝxk ⱪilma, Ⱨǝrdaim Pǝrwǝrdigardin ǝyminixtǝ turƣin;
Let not thy heart envy sinners, but be in the fear of the LORD all the day;
18 Xundaⱪ ⱪilƣiningda jǝzmǝn kɵridiƣan yahxi kününg bolidu, Arzu-ümiding bikarƣa kǝtmǝs.
For surely there is a future; and thy hope shall not be cut off.
19 I oƣlum, sɵzümgǝ ⱪulaⱪ selip dana bol, Ⱪǝlbingni [Hudaning] yoliƣa baxliƣin.
Hear thou, my son, and be wise, and guide thy heart in the way.
20 Mǝyhorlarƣa arilaxma, Nǝpsi yaman gɵxhorlar bilǝn bardi-kǝldi ⱪilma;
Be not among winebibbers; among gluttonous eaters of flesh;
21 Qünki ⱨaraⱪkǝx bilǝn nǝpsi yaman ahirida yoⱪsulluⱪta ⱪalar, Ƣǝplǝt uyⱪusiƣa patⱪanlarƣa jǝndǝ kiyimni kiygüzǝr.
For the drunkard and the glutton shall come to poverty; and drowsiness shall clothe a man with rags.
22 Seni tapⱪan atangning sɵzini angla, Anang ⱪeriƣanda uningƣa ⱨɵrmǝtsizlik ⱪilma.
Hearken unto thy father that begot thee, and despise not thy mother when she is old.
23 Ⱨǝⱪiⱪǝtni setiwal, Uni ⱨǝrgiz setiwǝtmǝ. Danaliⱪ, tǝrbiyǝ wǝ yorutuluxnimu al.
Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding.
24 Ⱨǝⱪⱪaniy balining atisi qong huxalliⱪ tapar; Dana oƣulni tapⱪan atisi uningdin hursǝn bolar.
The father of the righteous will greatly rejoice; and he that begetteth a wise child will have joy of him.
25 Ata-anangni sɵyündürüp, Seni tuƣⱪan anangni hux ⱪil.
Let thy father and thy mother be glad, and let her that bore thee rejoice.
26 I oƣlum, ⱪǝlbingni manga tapxur; Kɵzliringmu ⱨayatliⱪ yollirimƣa tikilsun!
My son, give me thy heart, and let thine eyes observe my ways.
27 Qünki paⱨixǝ ayal qongⱪur oridur, Buzuⱪ yat ayal tar zindandur;
For a harlot is a deep ditch; and an alien woman is a narrow pit.
28 Ular ⱪaraⱪqidǝk mɵküwelip, Insaniyǝt arisidiki wapasizlarni kɵpǝytǝr.
She also lieth in wait as a robber, and increaseth the faithless among men.
29 Kimdǝ azab bar? Kimdǝ dǝrd-ǝlǝm? Kim jedǝl iqidǝ ⱪalar? Kim nalǝ-pǝryad kɵtürǝr? Kim sǝwǝbsiz yarilinar? Kimning kɵzi ⱪizirip ketǝr?
Who crieth: 'Woe'? who: 'Alas'? who hath contentions? who hath raving? who hath wounds without cause? who hath redness of eyes?
30 Dǝl xarab üstidǝ uzun olturƣan, Əbjǝx xarabtin tetixⱪa aldiriƣan mǝyhorlar!
They that tarry long at the wine; they that go to try mixed wine.
31 Xarabning ajayib ⱪizilliⱪiƣa, uning jamdiki julaliⱪiƣa, Kixining gelidin xundaⱪ siliⱪ ɵtkǝnlikigǝ mǝptun bolup ⱪalma!
Look not thou upon the wine when it is red, when it giveth its colour in the cup, when it glideth down smoothly;
32 Ahirida u zǝⱨǝrlik yilandǝk qeⱪiwalidu, Oⱪ yilandǝk nǝxtirini sanjiydu.
At the last it biteth like a serpent, and stingeth like a basilisk.
33 Kɵz aldingda ƣǝlitǝ mǝnzirilǝr kɵrünidu, Aƣzingdin ⱪalaymiⱪan sɵzlǝr qiⱪidu.
Thine eyes shall behold strange things, and thy heart shall utter confused things.
34 Huddi dengiz-okyanlarda lǝylǝp ⱪalƣandǝk, Yǝlkǝnlik kemining moma yaƣiqi üstidǝ yatⱪandǝk bolisǝn.
Yea, thou shalt be as he that lieth down in the midst of the sea, or as he that lieth upon the top of a mast.
35 Sǝn qoⱪum: — Birsi meni urdi, lekin mǝn yarilanmidim! Birsi meni tayaⱪ bilǝn urdi, biraⱪ aƣriⱪini sǝzmidim!» — dǝysǝn. Biraⱪ sǝn yǝnǝ: «Ⱨoxumƣa kǝlsǝmla, mǝn yǝnila xarabni izdǝymǝn! — dǝysǝn.
'They have struck me, and I felt it not, they have beaten me, and I knew it not; when shall I awake? I will seek it yet again.'
