< Zebur 137 >
1 Babildiki derya-ériqlar boyida biz olturduq; Zionni esliginimizde, berheq yigha kötürduq;
By the waters of Babylon there we sat, and we wept at the thought of Zion.
2 Chiltarimizni arisidiki sögetlerge ésip qoyduq.
There on the poplars we hung our harps.
3 Chünki bizni sürgün qilghanlar bizdin naxsha telep qildi; Bizni zarlatquchilar bizdin tamasha telep qilip: — «Hey, Zion naxshiliridin birni bizge éytqina» — déyishti.
For there our captors called for a song: our tormentors, rejoicing, saying: “Sing us one of the songs of Zion.”
4 Yaqa yurtta turup Perwerdigarning naxshisini qandaqmu éytayli?
How can we sing the Lord’s song in the foreigner’s land?
5 Ey Yérusalém, men séni untusam, Ong qolum [maharitini] untusun!
If I forget you, Jerusalem, may my right hand wither.
6 Séni eslimisem, — Yérusalémni eng chong xursenlikimdin ewzel körmisem — Tilim tanglayimgha chapliship qalsun!
May my tongue stick to the roof of my mouth, if I am unmindful of you, or don’t set Jerusalem above my chief joy.
7 I Perwerdigar, Édom baliliridin hésab alghanda, Yérusalémning béshigha chüshken künini yadinggha keltürgeysen; Chünki ular: «Uni yer bilen yeksan qilinglar, Ulighiche yer bilen yeksan qilinglar!» déyishti.
Remember the Edomites, Lord, the day of Jerusalem’s fall, when they said, “Lay her bare, lay her bare, right down to her very foundation.”
8 I bulinish aldida turghan Babil qizi, Bizge qilghan qilmishliringni özüngge qayturghuchi bextliktur!
Babylon, despoiler, happy are those who pay you back for all you have done to us.
9 Bowaqliringni élip tashqa atquchi kishi bextliktur!
Happy are they who seize and dash your children against the rocks.
