1 «Yuqirigha chiqish naxshisi» Eger biz terepte turghini Perwerdigar bolmighan bolsa, — Ah, Israil shundaq désun —

If it had not been that the Lord was with us, let Israel now say:

2 Biz terepte turghini Perwerdigar bolmighan bolsa, Kishiler bizge hujumgha qozghalghanda,

If it had not been that the Lord was with us, When men rose up against us,

3 Ularning ghezipi bizge tutashqanda, — Shu chaghda ular bizni tirik yutuwétetti;

Perhaps they had swallowed us up alive. When their fury was enkindled against us,

4 [Shu chaghda] sular bizni gherq qiliwétetti; Kelkün béshimizdin ötetti;

Perhaps the waters had swallowed us up.

5 Dawalghughan sular béshimizdin ötetti!

Our soul hath passed through a torrent: perhaps our soul had passed through a water insupportable.

6 Perwerdigargha teshekkür-medhiye bolghay! Ularning chishlirigha ow bolushqa bizni qoyup bermidi.

Blessed be the Lord, who hath not given us to be a prey to their teeth.

7 Jénimiz tutquchilarning basmiqidin qéchip chiqqan qushtek qachti; Basmaq sundurulup, biz qachtuq!

Our soul hath been delivered as a sparrow out of the snare of the followers. The snare is broken, and we are delivered.

8 Érishken yardimimiz Perwerdigarning namididur, Asman-zémin Yaratquchining namididur!

Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth.
