< Pend-nesihetler 25 >

1 Töwende bayan qilinidighanlirimu Sulaymanning pend-nesihetliri; bularni Yehudaning padishahi Hezekiyaning ordisidikiler köchürüp xatiriligen: —
These are also proverbs of Solomon, that men of Hezekiah king of Judah transcribed:
2 Perwerdigarning ulughluqi — Özining qilghan ishini ashkarilimighinida; Padishahlarning ulughluqi — bir ishning sirini yésheliginide.
The glory of God [is] to hide a thing, And the glory of kings [is] to search out a matter.
3 Ershning égizlikini, Zéminning chongqurluqini, We padishahlarning könglidikini mölcherlep bilgili bolmas.
The heavens for height, and the earth for depth, And the heart of kings—[are] unsearchable.
4 Awwal kümüshning poqi ayrilip tawlansa, Andin zerger nepis bir qacha yasap chiqar.
Take away dross from silver, And a vessel goes forth for the refiner,
5 Awwal padishahning aldidiki rezil xizmetkarliri qoghliwétilse, Andin uning texti adalet üstige qurular.
Take away the wicked before a king, And his throne is established in righteousness.
6 Padishahning aldida özüngni hemmining aldi qilip körsetme, [Uning aldidiki] erbablarning ornida turuwalma;
Do not honor yourself before a king, And do not stand in the place of the great.
7 Ornungni özüngdin yuqiri janabqa bérip, uning aldida pegahqa chüshürülginingdin köre, Özgilerning séni törge teklip qilghini yaxshidur.
For better [that] he has said to you, “Come up here,” Than [that] he humbles you before a noble, Whom your eyes have seen.
8 Aldirap dewagha barmighin, Mubada bérip, yéqining [üstün chiqip] séni let qilsa, qandaq qilisen?
Do not go forth to strive, hurry, turn, What do you do in its latter end, When your neighbor causes you to blush?
9 Yéqining bilen munazirileshseng, Bashqilarning sirini achma.
Plead your cause with your neighbor, And do not reveal the secret counsel of another,
10 Bolmisa, buni bilgüchiler séni eyibleydu, Sésiq namdin qutulalmaysen.
Lest the hearer put you to shame, And your evil report not turn back.
11 Waqti-jayida qilin’ghan söz, Kümüsh ramkilargha tizilghan altun almilardur.
Apples of gold in imagery of silver, [Is] the word spoken at its fit times.
12 [Qulaqqa] altun halqa, nepis altundin yasalghan zinnet buyumi yarashqandek, Aqilanining agahlandurushi köngül qoyghanning quliqigha yarishar.
A ring of gold, and an ornament of pure gold, [Is] the wise reprover to an attentive ear.
13 Xuddi orma waqtidiki tomuzda [ichken] qar süyidek, Ishenchlik elchi özini ewetküchilerge shundaq bolar; U xojayinlirining köksi-qarnini yashartar.
As a vessel of snow in a day of harvest, [So is] a faithful ambassador to those sending him, And he refreshes the soul of his masters.
14 Yamghuri yoq bulut-shamal, Yalghan sowghatni wede qilip maxtan’ghuchigha oxshashtur.
Clouds and wind without rain, [Is] a man boasting himself in a false gift.
15 Uzun’ghiche sewr-taqet qilinsa, hökümdarmu qayil qilinar, Yumshaq til söngeklerdinmu öter.
A ruler is persuaded by long-suffering, And a soft tongue breaks a bone.
16 Sen hesel tépiwaldingmu? Uni peqet toyghuchila ye, Köp yéseng yanduruwétisen.
You have found honey—eat your sufficiency, Lest you are satiated [with] it, and have vomited it.
17 Qoshnangning bosughisigha az desse, Ular sendin toyup, öch bolup qalmisun.
Withdraw your foot from your neighbor’s house, Lest he is satiated [with] you, and has hated you.
18 Yalghan guwahliq bilen yéqinigha qara chaplighuchi, Xuddi gürze, qilich we ötkür oqqa oxshashtur.
A maul, and a sword, and a sharp arrow, [Is] the man testifying a false testimony against his neighbor.
19 Sunuq chish bilen chaynash, Tokur put [bilen méngish], Külpet künide wapasiz kishige ümid baghlighandektur.
A bad tooth, and a tottering foot, [Is] the confidence of the treacherous in a day of adversity.
20 Qish künide kishilerning kiyimini salduruwétish, Yaki suda üstige achchiq su quyush, Qayghuluq kishining aldida naxsha éytqandektur.
Whoever is taking away a garment in a cold day, [Is as] vinegar on natron, And a singer of songs on a sad heart.
21 Düshminingning qorsiqi ach bolsa, Nan ber; Ussighan bolsa su ber;
If he who is hating you hungers, cause him to eat bread, And if he thirsts, cause him to drink water.
22 Shundaq qilsang, béshigha kömür choghini toplap salghan bolisen, We Perwerdigar bu ishni sanga yanduridu.
For you are putting coals on his head, And YHWH gives repayment to you.
23 Shimal tereptin chiqqan shamal qattiq yamghur élip kelgendek, Chéqimchi shum chirayni keltürer.
A north wind brings forth rain, And a secret tongue—indignant faces.
24 Soqushqaq xotun bilen [azade] öyde bille turghandin köre, Ögzining bir bulungida [yalghuz] yétip-qopqan yaxshi.
Better to sit on a corner of a roof, Than [with] a woman of contentions, and a house of company.
25 Ussap ketken kishige muzdek su bérilgendek, Yiraq yurttin kelgen xush xewermu ene shundaq bolar.
[As] cold waters for a weary soul, So [is] a good report from a far country.
26 Pétiqdilip süyi léyip ketken bulaq, Süyi bulghiwétilgen quduq, Rezillerge yol qoyghan heqqaniy ademge oxshashtur.
A spring troubled, and a fountain corrupt, [Is] the righteous falling before the wicked.
27 Heselni heddidin ziyade yéyish yaxshi bolmas; Biraq ulughluqni izdeshning özi ulugh ishtur.
The eating of much honey is not good, Nor a searching out of one’s own honor—honor.
28 Özini tutalmaydighan kishi, Weyran bolghan, sépilsiz qalghan sheherge oxshaydu.
A city broken down without walls, [Is] a man without restraint over his spirit!
