< Pend-nesihetler 23 >

1 Katta erbab bilen hemdastixan bolsang, Aldingdiki kim ikenlikini obdan oylan.
When thou sittest to eate with a ruler, consider diligently what is before thee,
2 Ishtiying yaman bolsa, Gélinggha pichaq tenglep turghandek özüngni tart.
And put the knife to thy throte, if thou be a man giuen to the appetite.
3 Uning nazunémetlirini tama qilma, Ular adem aldaydighan tamaqlardur.
Be not desirous of his deintie meates: for it is a deceiuable meate.
4 Bay bolimen dep özüngni upratma; Özüngning zéhningni bu ishqa qaratma.
Trauaile not too much to be rich: but cease from thy wisdome.
5 [Bayliqlargha] köz tikishing bilenla, ular yoq bolidu; Pul-mal derweqe özige qanat yasap, Xuddi bürküttek asman’gha uchup kéter.
Wilt thou cast thine eyes vpon it, which is nothing? for riches taketh her to her wings, as an eagle, and flyeth into the heauen.
6 Ach közning nénini yéme, Uning ésil nazunémetlirini tama qilma;
Eate thou not the bread of him that hath an euil eye, neither desire his deintie meates.
7 Chünki uning köngli qandaq bolghandek, özimu shundaq. U aghzida: — Qéni, alsila, ichsile! — désimu, Biraq könglide séni oylighini yoq.
For as though he thought it in his heart, so will hee say vnto thee, Eate and drinke: but his heart is not with thee.
8 Yégen bir yutum taamnimu qusuwétisen, Uninggha qilghan chirayliq sözliringmu bikargha ketken bolidu.
Thou shalt vomit thy morsels that thou hast eaten, and thou shalt lose thy sweete wordes.
9 Exmeqqe yol körsitip salma, Chünki u eqil sözliringni közge ilmas.
Speake not in the eares of a foole: for hee will despise the wisdome of thy wordes.
10 Qedimde békitken yerning pasil tashlirini yötkime, Yétimlarning étizlirighimu ayagh basma;
Remooue not the ancient boundes, and enter not into the fieldes of the fatherlesse.
11 Chünki ularning Hemjemet-Qutquzghuchisi intayin küchlüktur; U Özi ular üchün üstüngdin dewa qilar.
For he that redeemeth them, is mightie: he will defend their cause against thee.
12 Nesihetke köngül qoy, Ilim-bilimlerge qulaq sal.
Apply thine heart to instruction, and thine eares to the wordes of knowledge.
13 Balanggha terbiye bérishtin érinme; Eger tayaq bilen ursang, u ölüp ketmeydu;
Withhold not correction from the childe: if thou smite him with the rodde, he shall not die.
14 Sen uni tayaq bilen ursang, Belkim uni tehtisaradin qutquziwalisen. (Sheol h7585)
Thou shalt smite him with the rodde, and shalt deliuer his soule from hell. (Sheol h7585)
15 I oghlum, dana bolsang, Méning qelbim qanche xush bolar idi!
My sonne, if thine heart be wise, mine heart shall reioyce, and I also.
16 Aghzingda orunluq sözler bolsa, ich-ichimdin shadlinimen.
And my reynes shall reioyce, when thy lips speake righteous things.
17 Gunah sadir qilghuchilargha reshk qilma, Herdaim Perwerdigardin eyminishte turghin;
Let not thine heart bee enuious against sinners: but let it bee in the feare of the Lord continually.
18 Shundaq qilghiningda jezmen köridighan yaxshi kününg bolidu, Arzu-ümiding bikargha ketmes.
For surely there is an ende, and thy hope shall not be cut off.
19 I oghlum, sözümge qulaq sélip dana bol, Qelbingni [Xudaning] yoligha bashlighin.
O thou my sonne, heare, and bee wise, and guide thine heart in the way.
20 Meyxorlargha arilashma, Nepsi yaman göshxorlar bilen bardi-keldi qilma;
Keepe not company with drunkards, nor with gluttons.
21 Chünki haraqkesh bilen nepsi yaman axirida yoqsulluqta qalar, Gheplet uyqusigha patqanlargha jende kiyimni kiygüzer.
For the drunkard and the glutton shall bee poore, and the sleeper shalbe clothed with ragges.
22 Séni tapqan atangning sözini angla, Anang qérighanda uninggha hörmetsizlik qilma.
Obey thy father that hath begotten thee, and despise not thy mother when she is olde.
23 Heqiqetni sétiwal, Uni hergiz sétiwetme. Danaliq, terbiye we yorutulushnimu al.
Bye the trueth, but sell it not: likewise wisdome, and instruction, and vnderstanding.
24 Heqqaniy balining atisi chong xushalliq tapar; Dana oghulni tapqan atisi uningdin xursen bolar.
The father of the righteous shall greatly reioyce, and hee that begetteth a wise childe, shall haue ioy of him.
25 Ata-anangni söyündürüp, Séni tughqan anangni xush qil.
Thy father and thy mother shall be glad, and she that bare thee shall reioyce.
26 I oghlum, qelbingni manga tapshur; Közliringmu hayatliq yollirimgha tikilsun!
My sonne, giue mee thine heart, and let thine eyes delite in my wayes.
27 Chünki pahishe ayal chongqur oridur, Buzuq yat ayal tar zindandur;
For a whore is as a deepe ditche, and a strange woman is as a narrowe pitte.
28 Ular qaraqchidek möküwélip, Insaniyet arisidiki wapasizlarni köpeyter.
Also she lyeth in wait as for a praye, and she increaseth the transgressers among men.
29 Kimde azab bar? Kimde derd-elem? Kim jédel ichide qalar? Kim nale-peryad kötürer? Kim sewebsiz yarilinar? Kimning közi qizirip kéter?
To whome is woe? to whome is sorowe? to whom is strife? to whom is murmuring? to whom are woundes without cause? and to whome is the rednesse of the eyes?
30 Del sharab üstide uzun olturghan, Ebjesh sharabtin tétishqa aldirighan meyxorlar!
Euen to them that tarie long at the wine, to them that goe, and seeke mixt wine.
31 Sharabning ajayib qizilliqigha, uning jamdiki julaliqigha, Kishining gélidin shundaq siliq ötkenlikige meptun bolup qalma!
Looke not thou vpon the wine, when it is red, and when it sheweth his colour in the cup, or goeth downe pleasantly.
32 Axirida u zeherlik yilandek chéqiwalidu, Oq yilandek neshtirini sanjiydu.
In the ende thereof it will bite like a serpent, and hurt like a cockatrise.
33 Köz aldingda ghelite menziriler körünidu, Aghzingdin qalaymiqan sözler chiqidu.
Thine eyes shall looke vpon strange women, and thine heart shall speake lewde things.
34 Xuddi déngiz-okyanlarda leylep qalghandek, Yelkenlik kémining moma yaghichi üstide yatqandek bolisen.
And thou shalt bee as one that sleepeth in the middes of the sea, and as hee that sleepeth in the toppe of the maste.
35 Sen choqum: — Birsi méni urdi, lékin men yarilanmidim! Birsi méni tayaq bilen urdi, biraq aghriqini sezmidim!» — deysen. Biraq sen yene: «Hoshumgha kelsemla, men yenila sharabni izdeymen! — deysen.
They haue stricken mee, shalt thou say, but I was not sicke: they haue beaten mee, but I knew not, when I awoke: therefore will I seeke it yet still.
