1 Rim impératori Tibérius Qeyserning seltenitining on beshinchi yili, Pontius Pilatus Yehudiye ölkisining waliysi, Hérod xan Galiliye ölkisining hakimi, Hérod xanning inisi Filip xan Ituriye we Traxonitis ölkisining hakimi, Lisanyas xan Abiliniy ölkisining hakimi bolghanda,
And in the fifteenth year in the reign of Tiberius Caesar, Pontius Pilate being governor of Judea, and Herod being tetrarch of Galilee, and Philip his brother, tetrarch of Ituria and the Trachonitis country, and Lusanius tetrarch of Abilene, during the high-priesthood of Annas
2 Hannas hem Qayafa bash kahinliq qiliwatqanda, Xudaning söz-kalami chölde yashawatqan Zekeriyaning oghli Yehyagha keldi.
and Caiaphas, the word of God came to John the son of Zacharias in the wilderness.
3 U Iordan deryasi wadisidiki barliq rayonlarni kézip, kishilerge gunahlargha kechürüm élip kélidighan, towa qilishni bildüridighan [sugha] «chömüldürüsh»ni jakarlashni bashlidi.
And he came into all the region round about the Jordan preaching the baptism of repentance unto the remissions of sins,
4 Xuddi Tewrattiki Yeshaya peyghemberning sözliri xatirilen’gen qisimda pütülgendek: «Bayawanda towlighuchi bir kishining: Rebning yolini teyyarlanglar, Uning yollirini tüz qilinglar! — dégen awazi anglandi.
as has been written in the book of Isaiah the prophet, saying; The voice of one roaring in the wilderness; Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight His paths.
5 Barliq jilghilar toldurulidu, Barliq tagh-döngler peslitilidu; Egri-toqay jaylar tüzlinidu, Ongghul-dongghul yerler tekshi yollar qilinidu.
Every valley shall be filled up and every mountain and hill shall be cut down; and the crooked places shall be straight and the rough ways smooth.
6 Shundaq qilip, barliq et igiliri Xudaning nijatini köreleydighan bolidu! — dep towlaydu».
And all flesh shall see the salvation of God.
7 Yehya emdi aldigha chömüldürüshni qobul qilishqa chiqqan top-top xalayiqqa: — Ey zeherlik yilan baliliri! Kim silerni [Xudaning] chüshüsh aldida turghan ghezipidin qéchinglar dep agahlandurdi?!
Then he said unto the multitudes coming out to be baptized by him; O generations of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
8 Emdi towigha layiq méwilerni keltürünglar! We öz ichinglarda: «Bizning atimiz bolsa Ibrahimdur!» dep xiyal eylimenglar; chünki men shuni silerge éytip qoyayki, Xuda Ibrahimgha mushu tashlardinmu perzentlerni yaritip béreleydu.
Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and do not begin to say among yourselves; We have Abraham our father.
9 Palta alliqachan derexlerning yiltizigha tenglep qoyuldi; yaxshi méwe bermeydighan herqandaq derexler késip otqa tashlinidu!» — dédi.
But truly the ax is laid to the root of the trees; Therefore every tree not producing good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
10 [Uning etrapigha] toplashqan kishiler emdi uningdin: — Undaqta, biz qandaq qilishimiz kérek? — dep soridi.
And the multitudes asked him, saying; What then shall we do?
11 U jawaben: — Ikki qur chapini bar kishi birini yoq kishige bersun, yeydighini bar kishimu shundaq qilsun, — dédi.
And responding he says to them, Let the one having two coats, give to him having none, and let the one having food do likewise.
12 Bezi bajgirlarmu chömüldürüshni qobul qilghili uning aldigha kélip: — Ustaz, biz qandaq qilimiz? — dep soridi.
And the publicans came also to be baptized, and said to him; Teacher, what shall we do!
13 U ulargha: — Belgilen’gendin artuq baj almanglar, — dédi.
And he said to them, Exact no more than that which has been appointed unto you.
14 Andin bezi leshkerlermu uningdin: — Bizchu, qandaq qilishimiz kérek? — dep sorashti. U ulargha: — Bashqilarning pulini zorawanliq bilen éliwalmanglar, héchkimge yalghandin shikayet qilmanglar we ish heqqinglargha razi bolunglar, — dédi.
And the soldiers were asking him saying; And what shall we do? And he said to them; Oppress no one, neither defraud; and be content with your wages.
15 Emdi xelq teqezzaliqta bolup hemmeylen könglide Yehya toghruluq «Mesih mushu kishimidu?» dep oylashti.
And the people waiting and all reasoning in their hearts concerning John, lest he might be the Christ.
16 Yehya hemmeylen’ge jawaben: — Men silerni derweqe sugha chömüldürimen. Lékin mendin qudretlik bolghan birsi kélidu; men hetta keshlirining boghquchini yéshishkimu layiq emesmen! U silerni Muqeddes Rohqa hem otqa chömüldüridu.
John responded to all, saying; I indeed baptize you with water; but there cometh One more powerful than I, the latchet of His sandals I am not worthy to loose; He will baptize you with the Holy Ghost and fire.
17 Uning sorughuchi küriki qolida turidu; u öz xaminini topa-samandin teltöküs tazilaydu, sap bughdayni ambargha yighidu, emma topa-samanni öchmes otta köydürüwétidu, — dédi.
Whose fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly purify His threshing-floor, and gather the wheat into His garner, and will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.
18 Emdi shundaq köp bashqa nesihetler bilen Yehya xush xewerni xelqqe yetküzdi.
Then indeed exhorting them as to many other things he continued to preach the gospel to the people.
19 [Kéyin], hakim Hérod [ögey] akisining ayali Hérodiyeni [tartiwalghanliqi] tüpeylidin we shuningdek uning barliq bashqa rezil qilmishliri üchün Yehya teripidin eyiblen’gen,
And Herod the tetrarch, being convicted by him concerning Herodias, the wife of his brother Philip, and concerning the wickedness which Herod did,
20 Hérod bu barliq rezillikining üstige yene shuni qildiki, Yehyani zindan’gha tashlidi.
added also this to all, and shut up John in prison.
21 Shundaq boldiki, hemme xelq Yehyadin chömüldürüshni qobul qilghanda, Eysamu chömüldürüshni qobul qildi. U dua qiliwatqanda, asmanlar yérilip,
And it came to pass while all the people were being baptized, and Jesus having been baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened,
22 Muqeddes Roh kepter siyaqida chüshüp uning üstige qondi. Shuning bilen asmandin: «Sen Méning söyümlük Oghlum, Men sendin toluq xursenmen!» dégen bir awaz anglandi.
and the Holy Spirit in bodily appearance like a dove descended on Him; and there was a voice from heaven, saying; Thou art my beloved Son, I am delighted in Thee.
23 Eysa öz [xizmitini] bashlighanda, ottuzgha kirip qalghanidi. U (xeqning neziride) Yüsüpning oghli idi; Yüsüp Xéliyning oghli,
And Jesus was beginning to be about thirty years old, being as was supposed, the son of Joseph, the son of Eli,
