1 Нәғмичиләрниң бешиға тапшурулуп оқулсун дәп, Давут язған «Масқил»; Едомлуқ Доәг Саул падишаниң йениға берип: «Давут Ахимәләкниң өйигә кирди» дәп айғақчилиқ қилғандин кейин йезилған: — И ночи батур, Немә үчүн рәзиллигиңдин махтинисән? Тәңриниң өзгәрмәс муһәббити мәңгүлүктур.
“For the leader of the music. A psalm of David, when Doeg, the Edomite, came and told Saul, and said to him, David is come to the house of Abimelech.” Why gloriest thou in mischief, thou man of violence? The goodness of God yet continueth daily.
2 Өткүр устира кәби, Тилиң зәһәр чачмақчи, У ялғанчилиқ тоқуватиду.
Thy tongue deviseth mischief, Like a sharp razor, thou contriver of deceit!
3 Сән яхшилиқниң орнида яманлиқни, Һәқ сөзләшниң орнида ялғанчилиқни яхши көрисән;
Thou lovest evil more than good, And to lie more than to speak truth. (Pause)
4 Һаман адәмни набут қилидиған сөзләрни яхши көрисән, и алдамчи тил!
Thou lovest all devouring words, O thou deceitful tongue!
5 Бәрһәқ, Тәңри охшашла сени мәңгүгә йоқитиду; У сени тутувалиду, йәни өз чедириңдин тартип чиқиду; Тирикләрниң зиминидин сени йилтизиңдин қомуруп ташлайду. (Селаһ)
Thee also shall God utterly destroy! o He shall seize thee, and tear thee from thy dwelling-place, And uproot thee from the land of the living. (Pause)
6 Һәққанийлар буни көрүп қорқушиду, Вә уни мәсқирә қилип күлүп: —
The righteous shall see and fear, And shall laugh at him.
7 «Қараңлар, Худани өз йөләнчиси қилмиған адәм, Пәқәт өз байлиқлириниң көплүгигә таянған адәм; У ач көзлүги билән күчләнди» — дәйду.
“Behold the man that made not God his strength, But trusted in the abundance of his riches, And placed his strength in his wickedness!”
8 Мән болсам Худаниң өйидә өскән барақсан зәйтун дәрәқтәкмән, Мән Худаниң өзгәрмәс муһәббитигә мәңгүгә тайинимән.
But I shall be like a green olive-tree in the house of God; I will trust in the goodness of God for ever and ever.
9 Мән Саңа әбәдил-әбәт тәшәккүр ейтимән; Чүнки Сән бу ишларни қилдиңсән; Мөмин бәндилириң алдида намиңға тәлмүрүп күтимән; Мошундақ қилиш әладур.
I will praise thee for ever for what thou hast done; I will trust in thy name, because it is good, Before the eyes of thy godly ones!
