1 Падиша Сулайманниң пәнд-несиһәтлири: — Дана оғул атисини шат қилар; Әқилсиз оғул анисини қайғу-һәсрәткә салар.
The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish son is the heaviness of his mother.
2 Һарам байлиқларниң һеч пайдиси болмас; Һәққанийәт инсанни өлүмдин қутулдурар.
Treasures of wickedness profit nothing: but righteousness delivereth from death.
3 Пәрвәрдигар һәққаний адәмниң җенини ач қоймас; Лекин у қәбиһләрниң нәпсини боғуп қояр.
Yhwh will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish: but he casteth away the substance of the wicked.
4 Һорунлуқ кишини гадай қилар; Ишчанлиқ болса баяшат қилар.
He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.
5 Язда һосулни жиғивалғучи — дана оғулдур; Лекин орма вақтида ухлап ятқучи — хиҗаләткә қалдуридиған оғулдур.
He that gathereth in summer is a wise son: but he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame.
6 Бәрикәт һәққаний адәмниң бешиға чүшәр; Амма зораванлиқ яманларниң ағзиға урар.
Blessings are upon the head of the just: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.
7 Һәққаний адәмниң ядикари мубарәктур; Яманларниң нами болса, сесиқ қалар.
The memory of the just is blessed: but the name of the wicked shall rot.
8 Дана адәм йолйоруқ-несиһәтләрни қобул қилар; Кот-кот, надан киши өз айиғи билән путлишар.
The wise in heart will receive commandments: but a prating fool shall fall.
9 Ғубарсиз жүргән кишиниң жүрүш-туруши турақлиқтур, Йоллирини әгир қилғанниң кири ахири ашкарилиниду.
He that walketh uprightly walketh surely: but he that perverteth his ways shall be known.
10 Көз ишаритини қилип жүридиғанлар адәмни дағда қалдурар; Кот-кот, надан киши өз айиғи билән путлишар.
He that winketh with the eye causeth sorrow: but a prating fool shall fall.
11 Һәққаний адәмниң ағзи һаятлиқ булиқидур, Амма зораванлиқ яманниң ағзиға урар.
The mouth of a righteous man is a well of life: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.
12 Өчмәнлик җедәл қозғар; Меһир-муһәббәт һәммә гуналарни япар.
Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins.
13 Әқил-идрақлик адәмниң ағзидин даналиқ тепилар; Әқилсизниң дүмбисигә палақ тегәр.
In the lips of him that hath understanding wisdom is found: but a rod is for the back of him that is void of understanding.
14 Дана адәмләр билимләрни зиядә топлар; Лекин ахмақниң ағзи уни һалакәткә йеқинлаштурар.
Wise men lay up knowledge: but the mouth of the foolish is near destruction.
15 Мал-дуниялири гоя мәзмут шәһәрдәк байниң капалитидур; Мискинни һалак қилидиған иш дәл униң намратлиғидур.
The rich man’s wealth is his strong city: the destruction of the poor is their poverty.
16 Һәққанийларниң әҗирлири җанға җан қошар, Қәбиһләрниң һосули гунанила көпәйтиштур.
The labour of the righteous tendeth to life: the fruit of the wicked to sin.
17 Несиһәтни аңлап уни сақлиғучи һаятлиқ йолиға маңар; Тәнбиһләрни рәт қилған киши йолдин азғанлардур.
He is in the way of life that keepeth instruction: but he that refuseth reproof erreth.
18 Адавәт сақлиған киши ялған сөзлимәй қалмас; Төһмәт чаплиғанлар ахмақтур.
He that hideth hatred with lying lips, and he that uttereth a slander, is a fool.
19 Гәп көп болуп кәтсә, гунадин халий болмас, Лекин ағзиға егә болған әқиллиқтур.
In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise.
20 Һәққаний адәмниң сөзи худди сап күмүч; Яманниң ойлири толиму әрзимәстур.
The tongue of the just is as choice silver: the heart of the wicked is little worth.
21 Һәққаний адәмниң сөзлири нурғун кишини қувәтләр; Ахмақлар әқли кәмлигидин өләр.
The lips of the righteous feed many: but fools die for want of wisdom.
22 Пәрвәрдигарниң ата қилған бәрикити адәмни дөләтмән қилар; У бәрикитигә һеч бир җапа-мушәққәт қошмас.
The blessing of Yhwh, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.
23 Ахмақ қәбиһликни тамашә дәп биләр; Амма даналиқ йорутулған кишиниң [хурсәнлигидур].
It is as sport to a fool to do mischief: but a man of understanding hath wisdom.
24 Яман киши немидин қорқса шуниңға учрар; Һәққаний адәмниң арзуси әмәлгә ашурулар.
The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him: but the desire of the righteous shall be granted.
25 Яман адәм қуюндәк өтүп йоқар; Лекин һәққаний адәм мәңгүлүк һулдәктур.
As the whirlwind passeth, so is the wicked no more: but the righteous is an everlasting foundation.
26 Адәм аччиқ су жутувалғандәк, Көзигә ис-түтәк кирип кәткәндәк, Һорун адәмни ишқа әвәткәнму шундақ болар.
As vinegar to the teeth, and as smoke to the eyes, so is the sluggard to them that send him.
27 Пәрвәрдигардин әйминиш өмүрни узун қилар, Яманниң өмри қисқартилар.
The fear of Yhwh prolongeth days: but the years of the wicked shall be shortened.
28 Һәққаний адәмниң үмүти хурсәнлик елип келәр; Лекин рәзилниң күткини йоққа чиқар.
The hope of the righteous shall be gladness: but the expectation of the wicked shall perish.
29 Пәрвәрдигарниң йоли дурус яшаватқанларға башпанаһдур; Қәбиһлик қилғучиларға болса һалакәттур.
The way of Yhwh is strength to the upright: but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity.
30 Һәққанийларниң орни мустәһкәмдур; Яманлар зиминда узун турмас.
The righteous shall never be removed: but the wicked shall not inhabit the earth.
31 Һәққаний адәмниң ағзидин даналиқ чиқар; Лекин шумлуқ тил кесип ташлинар.
The mouth of the just bringeth forth wisdom: but the perverse tongue shall be cut out.
32 Һәққаний адәмниң сөзи кишигә мок хушяқар; Яман адәмниң ағзидин шумлуқ чиқар.
The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable: but the mouth of the wicked speaketh perverseness.
