1 Шундақ болдики, Санбаллат бизниң сепилни яңливаштин оңшаватқанлиғимизни аңлап ғәзәплинип, қәһри билән Йәһудаларни мәсқирә қилди.
But it came to pass, that when Sanballat heard that we built the wall, he was wroth, and took great indignation, and mocked the Jews.
2 У өз қериндашлири вә Самарийә қошуни алдида: — Бу зәип Йәһудалар немә қиливатиду? Улар өзлирини шундақ мустәһкәмлимәкчиму? Улар қурбанлиқларни сунмақчиму? Улар бир күн ичидә пүттүрүшмәкчиму? Топа догилири ичидин көйүп кәткән ташларни колап чиқирип уларға җан киргүзәмдикән? — деди.
And he spoke before his brothers and the army of Samaria, and said, What do these feeble Jews? will they fortify themselves? will they sacrifice? will they make an end in a day? will they revive the stones out of the heaps of the rubbish which are burned?
3 Униң йенида туруватқан Аммоний Тобия: — Улар һәр қанчә ясисиму, бир түлкә сепилниң үстигә ямишип чиқса, уларниң таш темини өрүветиду! — деди.
Now Tobiah the Ammonite was by him, and he said, Even that which they build, if a fox go up, he shall even break down their stone wall.
4 — И Худайимиз, қулақ селип аңлиғайсән, кәмситилмәктимиз, уларниң қилған һақарәтлирини өз бешиға яндурғайсун; уларни тутқун қилип елип берилған яқа жутта хәқниң олҗисиға айландурғайсун!
Hear, O our God; for we are despised: and turn their reproach on their own head, and give them for a prey in the land of captivity:
5 Уларниң қәбиһлигини япмиғайсән, гуналири алдиңдинму өчүрүветилмисун; чүнки улар сепилни оңшаватқанларниң көңлигә азар бәрди!
And cover not their iniquity, and let not their sin be blotted out from before you: for they have provoked you to anger before the builders.
6 Шундақтиму сепилни яңливаштин оңшавәрдуқ; уни улап, егизлигини йеримиға йәткүздуқ; чүнки көпчилик көңүл қоюп ишлиди.
So built we the wall; and all the wall was joined together to the half thereof: for the people had a mind to work.
7 Шундақ болдики, Санбаллат, Тобия, Әрәбләр, Аммонийлар, Ашдодлуқлар Йерусалим сепиллирини яңливаштин оңшаш қурулушиниң йәнила елип бериливатқанлиғини, сепил бөсүклириниң етиветилгәнлигини аңлап қаттиқ ғәзәпкә келишти-дә,
But it came to pass, that when Sanballat, and Tobiah, and the Arabians, and the Ammonites, and the Ashdodites, heard that the walls of Jerusalem were made up, and that the breaches began to be stopped, then they were very wroth,
8 бирликтә Йерусалимға һуҗум қилип униңда қалаймиқанчилиқ туғдурушни қәстләшти.
And conspired all of them together to come and to fight against Jerusalem, and to hinder it.
9 Шуңа биз Худайимизға илтиҗа қилдуқ һәм уларниң сәвәвидин кечә-күндүз күзәтчи қоюп, өзлиримиз улардин мудапиәләндуқ.
Nevertheless we made our prayer to our God, and set a watch against them day and night, because of them.
10 Бу чағда Йәһудийәдикиләр: — Ишчи-һаммаллар һалидин кәтти, шуниңдәк чалма-кесәк әхләтләр йәнила наһайити көп, биз сепилни оңшашқа һәтта сепилғиму йеқинлишалмидуқ! — дейишти.
And Judah said, The strength of the bearers of burdens is decayed, and there is much rubbish; so that we are not able to build the wall.
11 Шуниң билән бир вақитта дүшмәнлиримиз: — Улар сәзмәстә, улар көрмәстә, уларниң арисиға киривелип уларни өлтүрүп, қурулушни тохтитиветимиз! — дейишти.
And our adversaries said, They shall not know, neither see, till we come in the middle among them, and slay them, and cause the work to cease.
12 Вә шундақ болдики, уларниң әтрапида туруватқан Йәһудаларму йенимизға он қетим келип: — Қайси тәрәпкә қарисаңлар, улар шу тәрәптин келип силәргә һуҗум қилмақчи! — дәп хәвәр йәткүзүшти.
And it came to pass, that when the Jews which dwelled by them came, they said to us ten times, From all places from where you shall return to us they will be on you.
13 Шуңа мән хәлиқни җәмәт-җәмәт бойичә, қолиға қилич, нәйзә вә оқялирини елип, сепили пәс болған яки һуҗумға очуқ турған йәрләрдә сепилниң арқисида қаравуллуқта турушқа қойдум.
Therefore set I in the lower places behind the wall, and on the higher places, I even set the people after their families with their swords, their spears, and their bows.
14 Көздин кәчүрүп чиққандин кейин орнумдин қопуп мөтивәрләр билән әмәлдарлар вә башқа хәлиққә: — Улардин қорқмаңлар; улуқ вә дәһшәтлик Рәбни есиңларда тутуңлар, өз қериндашлириңлар, оғул-қизлириңлар, аяллириңлар вә өй-маканиңлар үчүн җәң қилиңлар, дедим.
And I looked, and rose up, and said to the nobles, and to the rulers, and to the rest of the people, Be not you afraid of them: remember the LORD, which is great and terrible, and fight for your brothers, your sons, and your daughters, your wives, and your houses.
15 Шундақ болдики, өзлириниң сүйқәстини билип қалғанлиғимиз дүшмәнләрниң қулиқиға йетип барғач, шуниңдәк Худа уларниң сүйқәстини битчит қилғач, биз һәммимиз сепилға қайтип, һәр биримиз әсли иш орнимизда ишни давамлаштуривәрдуқ.
And it came to pass, when our enemies heard that it was known to us, and God had brought their counsel to nothing, that we returned all of us to the wall, every one to his work.
16 Әнә шу чағдин башлап хизмәткарлиримниң йерими иш билән болди, йерими қолиға нәйзә, қалқан, оқя тутқан, добулға-савут кийгән һалда жүрүшти. Сәрдар-әмәлдарлар сепилни оңшаватқан барлиқ Йәһуда җәмәтидикиләрниң арқисида турди. Һәм жүкләрни тошуватқанлар һәм уларға жүк артиватқанларму бир қолида ишләп, бир қолида ярақлирини чиң тутушқан еди.
And it came to pass from that time forth, that the half of my servants worked in the work, and the other half of them held both the spears, the shields, and the bows, and the habergeons; and the rulers were behind all the house of Judah.
They which built on the wall, and they that bore burdens, with those that laded, every one with one of his hands worked in the work, and with the other hand held a weapon.
18 Тамчиларниң һәр бири бәллиригә қилич-хәнҗәрлирини асқан һалда [сепилни] ясавататти; канайчи болса йенимда туратти.
For the builders, every one had his sword girded by his side, and so built. And he that sounded the trumpet was by me.
19 Мән мөтивәрләр, әмәлдарлар вә башқа хәлиққә: — Бу қурулуш наһайити чоң, даириси кәң; биз һәммимиз сепилда бөләк-бөләкләр бойичә тарқилип ишләп, бир-биримиздин жирақ туруватимиз.
And I said to the nobles, and to the rulers, and to the rest of the people, The work is great and large, and we are separated on the wall, one far from another.
20 Шуңа мәйли қәйәрдә болуңлар, канай авазини аңлисаңларла, биз бар шу йәргә келип жиғилиңлар; Худайимиз биз үчүн җәң қилиду, — дедим.
In what place therefore you hear the sound of the trumpet, resort you thither to us: our God shall fight for us.
21 Биз әнә шу тәриқидә ишлидуқ; хәлиқниң йерими таң атқандин тартип юлтуз чиққичә нәйзилирини чиң тутуп турушти.
So we labored in the work: and half of them held the spears from the rising of the morning till the stars appeared.
22 У чағда мән йәнә хәлиққә: — Һәммәйлән өз хизмәткари билән кечини Йерусалимға кирип өткүзсун, шундақ болса улар кечиси бизниң муһапизәтчилигимизни қилиду, күндүзи ишләйду, дедим.
Likewise at the same time said I to the people, Let every one with his servant lodge within Jerusalem, that in the night they may be a guard to us, and labor on the day.
23 Шундақ қилип я мән, нә қериндашлирим, я хизмәткарлирим яки маңа әгәшкән муһапизәтчиләрниң һеч қайсиси кийимлирини селишмиди; һәр бири һәтта суға барғандиму өзиниң ярақлирини еливалатти.
So neither I, nor my brothers, nor my servants, nor the men of the guard which followed me, none of us put off our clothes, saving that every one put them off for washing.
