1 Пүткүл хәлиқ Иордан дәриясидин тамамән өтүп болғанда, Пәрвәрдигар Йәшуаға сөз қилип: —

2 Хәлиқниң арисидин он икки адәмни таллиғин, һәр қәбилидин бирдин адәм болсун,

3 уларға: — Силәр Иордан дәриясиниң оттурисидин, каһинларниң путлири мәзмут турған җайдин он икки ташни елип, уларни көтирип келип өзүңлар бүгүн кечә баргаһ тикидиған йәргә қоюңлар, дегин, деди.

8 Шуниң билән Исраиллар Йәшуа уларға буйруғандәк қилди. Пәрвәрдигарниң Йәшуаға қилған әмри бойичә Исраилниң қәбилилириниң саниға мувапиқ Иордан дәриясиниң оттурисидин он икки ташни елип, қонидиған җайға көтирип берип, шу йәрдә қоюп қойди.

18 Шундақ болдики, Пәрвәрдигарниң әһдә сандуғини көтәргән каһинлар Иордан дәриясиниң оттурисидин чиқип, путлириниң тапини қуруқлуқни дәссиши биләнла, Иордан дәриясиниң сүйи йәнә өз җайиға қайтип келип, авалқидәк икки қирғиқиғичә тешип еқишқа башлиди.
