but Jesus went to the Mount of Olives.
2 Әтиси сәһәрдә, у йәнә ибадәтхана һойлилириға кирди вә халайиқниң һәммиси униң йениға келишкән еди. У олтирип, уларға тәлим беришкә башлиди.
At break of day however He returned to the Temple, and there the people came to Him in crowds. He seated Himself;
3 [Шу чағда], Тәврат устазлири билән Пәрисийләр зина қилип тутулуп қалған бир аялни униң алдиға елип келишти. Улар аялни оттуриға чиқирип,
and was teaching them when the Scribes and the Pharisees brought to Him a woman who had been found committing adultery. They made her stand in the centre of the court, and they put the case to Him.

"Rabbi," they said, "this woman has been found in the very act of committing adultery.
5 Муса [пәйғәмбәр] Тәврат қанунида бизгә мошундақ аялларни чалма-кесәк қилип өлтүрүшни әмир қилған. Әнди сәнчә, уни қандақ қилиш керәк? — дәп сорашти.
Now, in the Law, Moses has ordered us to stone such women to death. But what do you say?"
6 Әнди уларниң бундақ дейиштики нийити, уни қапқанқа чүшүрүп, униң үстидин әрз қилғидәк бирәр банә издәш еди. Амма Әйса еңишип, бармиғи билән йәргә бир немиләрни язғили турди.
They asked this in order to put Him to the test, so that they might have some charge to bring against Him. But Jesus leant forward and began to write with His finger on the ground.
7 Улар шу соални тохтимай соравататти, у руслинип уларға: — Араңлардики ким гунасиз болса, [бу] [аялға] биринчи ташни атсун! — деди.
When however they persisted with their question, He raised His head and said to them, "Let the sinless man among you be the first to throw a stone at her."
8 Андин у йәнә еңишип, йәргә йезишни давамлаштурди.
Then He leant forward again, and again began to write on the ground.
9 Улар бу сөзни аңлап, алди билән яшанғанлири, андин қалғанлири бир-бирләп [һәммиси] у йәрдин чиқип кетишти. Ахирида Әйса оттурида өрә турған һелиқи аял билән ялғуз қалди.
They listened to Him, and then, beginning with the eldest, took their departure, one by one, till all were gone. And Jesus was left behind alone--and the woman in the centre of the court.
10 Әйса руслинип туруп, шу аялдин башқа һеч кимни көрмигән болуп, униңдин: Ханим, саңа һелиқи шикайәт қилғанлар қени? Сени гунаға бекитидиған һеч ким чиқмидиму? — дәп соривиди,
Then, raising His head, Jesus said to her, "Where are they? Has no one condemned you?"
11 — Һәзрәтлири, һеч ким чиқмиди, — деди аял. Әйса: — Мәнму сени гунаға бекитмәймән. Барғин, буниңдин кейин йәнә гуна қилмиғин! — деди.
"No one, Sir," she replied. "And I do not condemn you either," said Jesus; "go, and from this time do not sin any more."]
12 Шуңа Әйса йәнә көпчиликкә сөз қилип: — Дунияниң нури өзүмдурмән. Маңа әгәшкәнләр қараңғулуқта маңмайду, әксичә һаятлиқ нуриға еришиду, — деди.
Once more Jesus addressed them. "I am the Light of the world," He said; "the man who follows me shall certainly not walk in the dark, but shall have the light of Life."
13 Пәрисийләр: — Сән өзүңгә өзүң гувалиқ бериватисән. Шуңа сениң гувалиғиң раст һесапланмайду, — дейишти.
"You are giving testimony about yourself," said the Pharisees; "your testimony is not true."
14 Әйса уларға җававән мундақ деди: — Һәтта мән өзүмгә гувалиқ бәрсәмму, гувалиғим һәқтур, чүнки мән өзүмниң қәйәрдин кәлгәнлигимни вә қәйәргә баридиғанлиғимни билимән. Лекин силәр қәйәрдин кәлгәнлигимни вә қәйәргә баридиғанлиғимни билмәйсиләр.
"Even if I am giving testimony about myself," replied Jesus, "my testimony is true; for I know where I came from and where I am going, but you know neither of these two things.
15 Силәр әт егилириниң өлчими бойичә һөкүм қилисиләр. Бирақ мән һеч кимниң үстигә һөкүм қилмаймән.
You judge according to appearances: I am judging no one.
16 Мән һөкүм қилсамму, һөкүмүм һәқиқийдур; чүнки мән ялғуз әмәс, бәлки мени әвәткән Ата [бу ишта] мән билән биллидур.
And even if I do judge, my judgement is just; for I am not alone, but the Father who sent me is with me.
17 Силәргә тәвә болған Тәврат қанунида: «Икки адәмниң гувалиғи болса раст һесаплиниду» дәп пүтүлгәндур.
In your own Law, too, it is written that the testimony of two men is true.
18 Раст, мән өзүм тоғрамда өзүм гувалиқ беримән, вә мени әвәткән Атиму мениң тоғрамда гувалиқ бериду.
I am one giving testimony about myself, and the Father who sent me gives testimony about me."
19 Улар униңдин: — Атаң қәйәрдә? — дәп сорашти. Әйса уларға җавап берип: — Силәр я мени тонумайсиләр, я Атамни тонумайсиләр; мени тонуған болсаңлар, Атамниму тонуйттуңлар, — деди.
"Where is your Father?" they asked. "You know my Father as little as you know me." He replied; "if you knew me, you would know my Father also."
20 Әйса бу сөзләрни ибадәтханида тәлим бәргинидә, сәдиқә сандуғиниң алдида туруп ейтқан еди. Бирақ һеч ким уни тутмиди, чүнки униң вақит-саити техи йетип кәлмигән еди.
These sayings He uttered in the Treasury, while teaching in the Temple; yet no one arrested Him, because His time had not yet come.
21 Шуниң билән у уларға йәнә: Мән бу йәрдин кетимән; силәр мени издәйсиләр, лекин өз гунайиңлар ичидә өлисиләр. Мән кетидиған йәргә силәр баралмайсиләр, — деди.
Again He said to them, "I am going away. Then you will try to find me, but you will die in your sins. Where I am going, it is impossible for you to come."
22 Буниң билән Йәһудийлар: — У: «Мән кетидиған йәргә силәр баралмайсиләр» дәйду. Бу униң өзини өлтүрүвалимән дегинимиду? — дейишти.
The Jews began to ask one another, "Is he going to kill himself, do you think, that he says, 'Where I am going, it is impossible for you to come'?"
23 Әйса уларға: — Силәр төвәндиндурсиләр, мән жуқуридиндурмән. Силәр бу дуниядиндурсиләр, мән бу дуниядин әмәсмән.
"You," He continued, "are from below, I am from above: you are of this present world, I am not of this present world.
24 Шуниң үчүн силәргә: «Гуналириңлар ичидә өлисиләр» дедим. Чүнки силәр мениң «[Әзәлдин] Бар Болғучи» екәнлигимгә ишәнмисәңлар, гуналириңлар ичидә өлисиләр, — деди.
That is why I told you that you will die in your sins; for, unless you believe that I am He, that is what will happen."
25 Сән зади ким? — дәп сорашти улар. Әйса уларға: — Башта силәргә немә дегән болсам, мән шу.
"You--who are you?" they asked. "How is it that I am speaking to you at all?" replied Jesus.
26 Өзүмниң силәрниң тоғраңларда вә үстүңлардин һөкүм қилидиған нурғун сөзлирим бар; лекин мени Әвәткүчи һәқтур вә мән Униңдин немини аңлиған болса, буларнила дуниядикиләргә уқтуруп ейтимән, — деди.
"Many things I have to speak and to judge concerning you. But He who sent me is true, and the things which I have heard from Him are those which I have come into the world to speak."
27 Улар униң өзлиригә ейтқанлириниң Ата тоғрилиқ екәнлигини чүшинәлмиди.
They did not perceive that He was speaking to them of the Father.
28 Шуңа Әйса мундақ деди: Силәр Инсаноғлини көтәргәндин кейин, мениң «[Әзәлдин] Бар Болғучи» екәнлигимни билисиләр вә шундақла һеч ишни өзлүгүмдин қилмиғанлиғимни, пәқәт Атиниң маңа үгәткининила сөзлигәнлигимниму билисиләр.
So Jesus added, "When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am He. Of myself I do nothing; but as the Father has taught me, so I speak.
29 Мени Әвәткүчи мән билән биллидур, У мени әсла ялғуз қоймиди, чүнки мән һемишә Уни хурсән қилидиған ишларни қилимән.
And He who sent me is with me. He has not left me alone: for I do always what is pleasing to Him."
30 Әйса бу сөзләрни қиливатқан чағниң өзидә, нурғун кишиләр униңға етиқат қилди.
As He thus spoke, many became believers in Him.
31 Әйса өзигә етиқат қилған Йәһудийларға: — Әгәр мениң сөз-каламимдин чиқмай турсаңлар, мениң һәқиқий мухлислирим болған болисиләр,
Jesus therefore said to those of the Jews who had now believed in Him, "As for you, if you hold fast to my teaching, then you are truly my disciples;
32 вә һәқиқәтни билисиләр вә һәқиқәт силәрни азатлиққа ериштүриду, — деди.
and you shall know the Truth, and the Truth will make you free."
33 Улар җававән: — Биз Ибраһимниң нәслимиз, — һеч қачан һеч кимниң қуллуғида болмидуқ. Сән қандақсигә: Азатлиққа еришсиләр, дәйсән? — деди.
"We are descendants of Abraham," they answered, "and have never at any time been in slavery to any one. What do those words of yours mean, 'You shall become free'?"
34 Әйса уларға җавап берип: — Бәрһәқ, бәрһәқ, мән силәргә шуни ейтип қояйки, гуна садир қилған киши гунаниң қулидур.
"In most solemn truth I tell you," replied Jesus, "that every one who commits sin is the slave of sin.
Now a slave does not remain permanently in his master's house, but a son does. (aiōn g165)
36 Шуниң үчүн Оғул силәрни азат қилса, һәқиқий азат болисиләр.
If then the Son shall make you free, you will be free indeed.
37 Силәрниң Ибраһимниң нәсли екәнлигиңларни билимән. Бирақ мени өлтүрмәкчи болуватисиләр, чүнки мениң сөзүм ичиңлардин орун алмиди.
You are descendants of Abraham, I know; but you want to kill me, because my teaching gains no ground within you.
38 Мән Атамниң йенида көргәнлиримни ейтиватимән; силәр болсаңлар өз атаңлардин көргәнлириңларни қиливатисиләр!
The words I speak are those I have learnt in the presence of the Father. Therefore you also should do what you have heard from your father."
39 Улар җавап берип: — Бизниң атимиз Ибраһимдур, — деди. Әйса уларға: — Әгәр Ибраһимниң пәрзәнтлири болсаңлар, Ибраһимниң әмәллирини қилған болаттиңлар!
"Our father is Abraham," they said. "If you were Abraham's children," replied Jesus, "it is Abraham's deeds that you would be doing.
40 Бирақ һазир әксичә мени, йәни Худадин аңлиған һәқиқәтни силәргә йәткүзгән адәмни өлтүрүшкә қәстләйсиләр. Ибраһим ундақ ишни қилмиған.
But, in fact, you are longing to kill me, a man who has spoken to you the truth which I have heard from God. Abraham did not do that.
41 Силәр өз атаңларниң қилғинини қиливатисиләр! — деди. — Биз һарамдин болған әмәсмиз! Бизниң пәқәт бирла атимиз бар, У болса Худадур! — дейишти улар.
You are doing the deeds of your father." "We," they replied, "are not illegitimate children. We have one Father, namely God."
42 Әйса уларға: — Атаңлар Худа болған болса, мени сөйгән болаттиңлар; чүнки мән Худаниң бағридин чиқип, бу йәргә кәлдим. Мән өзлүгүмдин кәлгән әмәсмән, бәлки Униң тәрипидин әвәтилгәнмән.
"If God were your Father," said Jesus, "you would love me; for it is from God that I came and I am now here. I have not come of myself, but He sent me.
43 Сөзлиримни немишкә чүшәнмәйсиләр? Ениқки, мениң сөз-каламим қулиқиңларға кирмәйватиду!
How is it you do not understand me when I speak? It is because you cannot bear to listen to my words.
44 Силәр атаңлар Иблистин болғансиләр вә униң арзу-һәвәслиригә әмәл қилишни халайсиләр. У аләм апиридә болғандин тартип қатил еди вә униңда һәқиқәт болмиғачқа, һәқиқәттә турмиған. У ялған сөзлигәндә, өз тәбиитидин сөзләйду, чүнки у ялғанчи вә шундақла ялғанчилиқниң атисидур.
The father whose sons you are is the Devil; and you desire to do what gives him pleasure. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand firm in the truth--for there is no truth in him. Whenever he utters his lie, he utters it out of his own store; for he is a liar, and the father of lies.
45 Лекин мән һәқиқәтни сөзлигиним үчүн, маңа ишәнмәйсиләр.
But because I speak the truth, you do not believe me.
46 Қайсиңлар мени гунайи бар дәп дәлилләләйсиләр, қени? Һәқиқәтни сөзлисәм, немә үчүн маңа ишәнмәйсиләр?
Which of you convicts me of sin? If I speak the truth, why do you not believe me?
47 Худадин болған киши Худаниң сөзлирини аңлайду; силәр уларни аңлимайсиләр, чүнки силәр Худадин болған әмәссиләр!
He who is a child of God listens to God's words. You do not listen to them: and why? It is because you are not God's children."
48 Йәһудийлар униңға җававән: — Әҗәба, бизниң сени: «Самарийәлик һәм җин чаплашқан адәм»сән дегинимиз тоғра әмәсму? — дейишти.
"Are we not right," answered the Jews, "in saying that you are a Samaritan and are possessed by a demon?"
49 Әйса җававән: — Маңа җин чаплашқини йоқ, бәлки мән Атамни һөрмәт қилимән; лекин силәр маңа һөрмәтсизлик қиливатисиләр.
"I am not possessed by a demon," replied Jesus. "On the contrary I honour my Father, and you dishonour me.
50 Мән өз шан-шәривимни издимәймән; лекин буни издигүчи һәм [униң үстидин] һөкүм қилғучи Бириси бар.
I, however, am not aiming at glory for myself: there is One who aims at glory for me--and who judges.
51 Бәрһәқ, бәрһәқ, мән силәргә шуни ейтип қояйки, мениң сөз-каламимни тутидиған киши әбәдил-әбәт өлүм көрмәйду. (aiōn g165)
In most solemn truth I tell you that if any one shall have obeyed my teaching he shall in no case ever see death." (aiōn g165)
52 Шуниң билән Йәһудийлар униңға: — Саңа дәрвәқә җин чаплашқанлиғини әнди билдуқ! Һәтта [һәзрити] Ибраһим вә пәйғәмбәрләрму өлгән турса, сән қандақсигә: «Мениң сөз-каламимни тутидиған киши әбәдил-әбәт өлүм тетимайду» дәйсән? (aiōn g165)
"Now," exclaimed the Jews, "we know that you are possessed by a demon. Abraham died, and so did the Prophets, and yet you say, 'If any one shall have obeyed my teaching, he shall in no case ever taste death.' (aiōn g165)
53 Әҗәба, сән атимиз Ибраһимдин улуқмусән? У өлди, пәйғәмбәрләр һәм өлди!? Сән өзүңни ким қилмақчисән?
Are you really greater than our forefather Abraham? For he died. And the prophets died. Who do you make yourself out to be?"
54 Әйса җававән мундақ деди: — Әгәр мән өзүмни улуқлисам, ундақта улуқлуғум һеч нәрсә һесапланмайтти. Бирақ мени улуқлиғучи — силәр «У бизниң Худайимиз» дәп атайдиған Атамниң Өзидур.
"Were I to glorify myself," answered Jesus, "I should have no real glory. There is One who glorifies me--namely my Father, who you say is your God.
55 Силәр Уни тонумидиңлар, лекин мән Уни тонуймән. Уни тонумаймән десәм, силәрдәк ялғанчи болаттим; бирақ мән Уни тонуймән вә Униң сөз-каламини тутимән.
You do not know Him, but I know Him perfectly; and were I to deny my knowledge of Him, I should resemble you, and be a liar. On the contrary I do know Him, and I obey His commands.
56 Атаңлар Ибраһим мениң күнүмни көридиғанлиғидин яйрап-яшниди һәм дәрвәқә уни алдин-ала көрүп шатланди.
Abraham your forefather exulted in the hope of seeing my day: and he saw it, and was glad."
57 — Сән техи әллик яшқа кирмәй туруп, Ибраһимни көрдүңму? — дейишти улар.
"You are not yet fifty years old," cried the Jews, "and have you seen Abraham?"
58 Әйса уларға: — Бәрһәқ, бәрһәқ, мән силәргә шуни ейтип қояйки, Ибраһим туғулмастила, мән Бар Болғучидурмән! — деди.
"In most solemn truth," answered Jesus, "I tell you that before Abraham came into existence, I am."
59 Буниң билән улар уни чалма-кесәк қилғили қоллириға йәрдин таш алди; лекин Әйса уларға көрүнмәй, уларниң оттурисидин өтүп ибадәтханидин чиқип кәтти.
Thereupon they took up stones with which to stone Him, but He hid Himself and went away out of the Temple.
