1 Аюп җававән мундақ деди: —
Forsothe Joob answeride, and seide,
2 «Аһ, мениң дәрдлик зарлирим таразида өлчәнсә! Аһ, бешимға чүшкән барлиқ балаю-қаза булар билән биллә таразиланса!
Y wolde, that my synnes, bi whiche Y `desseruede ire, and the wretchidnesse which Y suffre, weren peisid in a balaunce.
3 Шундақ қилинса у һазир деңиздики қумдин еғир болуп чиқиду; Шуниң үчүн сөзлирим тәлвиләрчә болуватиду.
As the grauel of the see, this wretchidnesse schulde appere greuousere; wherfor and my wordis ben ful of sorewe.
4 Чүнки Һәммигә Қадирниң оқлири маңа санҗилип ичимдә туруватиду, Уларниң зәһирини роһум ичмәктә, Тәңриниң вәһимилири маңа қарши сәп түзүп һуҗум қиливатиду.
For the arowis of the Lord ben in me, the indignacioun of whiche drynkith vp my spirit; and the dredis of the Lord fiyten ayens me.
5 Явайи ешәк от-чөп тапқанда һаңрамду? Кала болса йәм-хәшәк үстидә мөрәмду?
Whether a feeld asse schal rore, whanne he hath gras? Ethir whether an oxe schal lowe, whanne he stondith byfor a `ful cratche?
6 Туз болмиса тәмсиз нәрсини йегили боламду? Хам тухумниң еқиниң тәми барму?
Ether whethir a thing vnsauery may be etun, which is not maad sauery bi salt? Ether whether ony man may taaste a thing, which tastid bryngith deeth?
7 Җеним уларға тәгсиму сәскинип кетиду, Улар маңа жиркиничлик тамақ болуп туюлиду.
For whi to an hungri soule, yhe, bittir thingis semen to be swete; tho thingis whiche my soule nolde touche bifore, ben now my meetis for angwisch.
8 Аһ, мениң тәшна болғиним кәлсиди! Тәңри интизаримни иҗабәт қилсиди!
Who yyueth, that myn axyng come; and that God yyue to me that, that Y abide?
9 Аһ, Тәңри мени янчип ташлисун! У қолини қоюветип җенимни үзүп ташлашқа мувапиқ көрсиди!
And he that bigan, al to-breke me; releesse he his hond, and kitte me doun?
10 Шундақ болса, маңа тәсәлли болатти, Һәтта рәһимсиз ағриқларда қийналсамму, шатлинаттим; Чүнки Муқәддәс Болғучиниң сөзлиридин танмиған болаттим!
And `this be coumfort to me, that he turmente me with sorewe, and spare not, and that Y ayenseie not the wordis of the hooli.
11 Мәндә өлүмни күткидәк йәнә қанчилик мағдур қалди? Мениң сәвир-тақәтлик болуп һаятимни узартишимниң немә нәтиҗиси болар?
For whi, what is my strengthe, that Y suffre? ethir which is myn ende, that Y do pacientli?
12 Мениң күчүм таштәк чиңму? Мениң әтлирим мистин ясалғанмиди?
Nethir my strengthe is the strengthe of stoonus, nether my fleisch is of bras.
13 Өзүмгә ярдәм бәргидәк мағдурум қалмиди әмәсму? Һәр қандақ әқил-тәдбир мәндин қоғливетилгән әмәсму?
Lo! noon help is to me in me; also my meyneal frendis `yeden awey fro me.
14 Үмүтсизлинип кетиватқан кишигә дости меһриванлиқ көрсәтмики зөрүрдур; Болмиса у Һәммигә қадирдин қорқуштин ваз кечиши мүмкин.
He that takith awei merci fro his frend, forsakith the drede of the Lord.
15 Бирақ бурадәрлирим вақитлиқ «алдамчи ериқ» сүйидәк, Маңа һелигәрлик билән муамилә қилмақта; Улар сулири еқип түгигән ериққа охшайду.
My britheren passiden me, as a stronde doith, that passith ruschyngli in grete valeis.
16 Еригән муз сулири ериққа киргәндә улар қаридап кетиду, Қарлар уларниң ичидә йоқилип кетиду,
Snow schal come on hem, that dreden frost.
17 Улар пәсилниң иллиши билән қуруп кетиду; Һава иссип кәткәндә, изидин йоқилип кетиду.
In the tyme wherynne thei ben scaterid, thei schulen perische; and as thei ben hoote, thei schulen be vnknyt fro her place.
18 Сәпәрдашлар маңған йолидин чиқип, ериққа бурулиду; Улар ериқни бойлап меңип, чөлдә езип өлиду.
The pathis of her steppis ben wlappid; thei schulen go in veyn, and schulen perische.
19 Темалиқ карванларму ериқ издәп маңди; Шебалиқ содигәрләрму уларға үмүт билән қариди;
Biholde ye the pathis of Theman, and the weies of Saba; and abide ye a litil.
20 Бирақ улар ишәнгинидин үмүтсизлинип номуста қалди; Улар әшу йәргә келиши билән паракәндичиликкә учриди.
Thei ben schent, for Y hopide; and thei camen `til to me, and thei ben hilid with schame.
21 Мана силәр уларға охшаш [маңа тайини] йоқ болуп қалдиңлар; Силәр қорқунучлуқ бир вәһимини көрүпла қорқуп кетиватисиләр.
Now ye ben comun, and now ye seen my wounde, and dreden.
22 Мән силәргә: «Маңа бериңлар», Яки: «Маңа мал-мүлүклириңлардин һәдийә қилиңлар?» — дегәнни қачан дәп баққан?
Whether Y seide, Brynge ye to me, and yiue ye of youre catel to me? ethir,
23 Яки: «Мени езитқучиниң қолидин қутқузуңлар!» Яки «Зораванларниң қолидин гөрүгә пул бәрсәңлар!» дәп баққанму?
Delyuere ye me fro the hond of enemy, and rauysche ye me fro the hond of stronge men?
24 Маңа үгитип қоюңлар, сүкүт қилимән; Нәдә йолдин чиққанлиғимни маңа көрситип бериңлар.
Teche ye me, and Y schal be stille; and if in hap Y vnknew ony thing, teche ye me.
25 Тоғра сөзләр немидегән өткүр-һә! Бирақ әйиплириңлар зади немини испатлалайду?!
Whi han ye depraued the wordis of trewthe? sithen noon is of you, that may repreue me.
26 Үмүтсизләнгән кишиниң гәплири өтүп кетидиған шамалдәк турса, Пәқәт сөзләрнила әйиплимәкчимусиләр?
Ye maken redi spechis oneli for to blame, and ye bryngen forth wordis in to wynde.
27 Силәр житим-йесирларниң үстидә чәк ташлишисиләр! Дост-бурадириңлар үстидә содилишисиләр!
Ye fallen in on a fadirles child, and enforsen to peruerte youre frend.
28 Әнди маңа йүз туранә қарап беқиңлар; Алдиңлардила ялған сөз қилаламдим?
Netheles fille ye that, that ye han bigunne; yyue ye the eere, and se ye, whether Y lie.
29 Өтүнимән, болди қилиңлар, гуна болмисун; Раст, қайтидин ойлап беқиңлар, Чүнки өзүмниң тоғрилиғим [таразида] туриду.
Y biseche, answere ye with out strijf, and speke ye, and deme ye that, that is iust.
30 Тилимда хаталиқ барму? Тилим яманлиқни зади теталмасму?
And ye schulen not fynde wickidnesse in my tunge, nethir foli schal sowne in my chekis.
