1 Рәһобоам Йерусалимға келип, Исраил билән җәң қилип падишалиқни өзигә қайтуруп әкилиш үчүн Йәһуда билән Бинямин җәмәтидин бир йүз сәксән миң хилланған җәңгивар әскәрни топлиди.

And when Rehoboam was come to Ierusalem, he gathered of the house of Iudah and Beniamin nine score thousande chosen men of warre to fight against Israel, and to bring the kingdome againe to Rehoboam.

2 Лекин Худаниң сөзи Худаниң адими Шемаяға келип: —

But the worde of the Lord came to Shemaiah the man of God, saying,

3 «Йәһуданиң падишаси, Сулайманниң оғли Рәһобоамға, Йәһуда билән Биняминдики Исраилларға сөз қилип: —

Speake vnto Rehoboam, the sonne of Salomon King of Iudah, and to all Israel that are in Iudah, and Beniamin, saying,

4 «Пәрвәрдигар мундақ дәйду: — Һуҗумға чиқмаңлар, қериндашлириңлар билән җәң қилмаңлар; һәр бириңлар өз өйүңларға қайтип кетиңлар; чүнки бу иш Мәндиндур», дегин» — дейилди. Вә улар Пәрвәрдигарниң сөзлиригә қулақ салди, Йәробоамға һуҗум қилиштин янди.

Thus sayth the Lord, Ye shall not goe vp, nor fight against your brethren: returne euery man to his house: for this thing is done of me. They obeyed therfore the word of the Lord, and returned from going against Ieroboam.

5 Рәһобоам Йерусалимда туратти, вә Йәһудада қорғанлиқ шәһәрләрни салғузған еди.

And Rehoboam dwelt in Ierusalem, and buylt strong cities in Iudah.

6 У Бәйт-Ләһәм, Етам, Тәкоа,

Hee buylt also Beth-lehem, and Etam, and Tekoa,

7 Бәйт-Зур, Сокоһ, Адуллам,

And Beth-zur, and Shoco, and Adullam,

8 Гат, Марәшаһ, Зиф,

And Gath, and Maresha, and Ziph,

9 Адорайим, Лақиш, Азикаһ,

And Adoraim, and Lachish, and Azekah,

10 Зораһ, Айҗалон, Һебронни ясатти; буларниң һәммиси қорғанлиқ шәһәрләр болуп, Йәһуда вә Биняминниң зиминида еди.

And Zorah, and Aialon, and Hebron, which were in Iudah and Beniamin, strong cities.

11 У барлиқ қәлъә-қорғанларни мустәһкәмлиди вә уларда сәрдарларни тайинлиди, запас ашлиқ, май вә шарапларни тәйярлиди.

And he repaired the strong holdes and put captaines in them, and store of vitaile, and oyle and wine.

12 У йәнә һәр қайси шәһәрләрни көплигән қалқан вә нәйзиләр билән қуралландуруп, аламәт мустәһкәмливәтти. Йәһуда билән Бинямин униң тәрипидә туратти.

And in all cities he put shieldes and speares, and made them exceeding strong: so Iudah and Beniamin were his.

13 Пүткүл Исраилда туруватқан каһинлар билән Лавийлар қайси жутта болмисун униң тәрипидә туратти.

And the Priests and the Leuites that were in all Israel, resorted vnto him out of all their coastes.

14 Чүнки Йәробоам билән униң оғуллири Лавийларни чәткә қеқип, уларниң Пәрвәрдигарниң хизмитидә болуп каһинлиқ өткүзүшини чәклигәнлиги үчүн, улар өзлириниң отлақлири вә мал-мүлкини ташлап Йәһуда зиминға вә Йерусалимға келишкән еди

For the Leuites left their suburbes and their possession, and came to Iudah and to Ierusalem: for Ieroboam and his sonnes had cast them out from ministring in the Priestes office vnto the Lord.

15 (чүнки Йәробоам «жуқури җайлар»дики хизмәт үчүн «текә илаһлири» вә өзи ясиған мозай мәбудлириниң қуллуғида болушқа өзи үчүн каһинларни тайинлиған еди).

And he ordeyned him Priests for the hie places, and for the deuils and for the calues which he had made.

16 Вә бу [Лавийларға] әгишип, Исраилниң һәммә қәбилилиридин көңлидә Исраилниң Худаси Пәрвәрдигарни сеғинип-издәшкә ирадә тиклигәнләр ата-бовилириниң Худаси болған Пәрвәрдигарға қурбанлиқ қилиш үчүн Йерусалимға келишти.

And after the Leuites there came to Ierusalem of all the tribes of Israel, such as set their heartes to seeke the Lord God of Israel, to offer vnto the Lord God of their fathers.

17 Шундақ қилип улар Йәһуда падишалиғиниң күчини ашуруп, Сулайманниң оғли Рәһобоамни үч жил күчләндүрди; чүнки [Йәһудадикиләр] үч жил Давутниң вә Сулайманниң йолида маңған еди.

So they strengthened the kingdome of Iudah, and made Rehoboam the sonne of Salomon mightie, three yeere long: for three yeere they walked in in the way of Dauid and Salomon.

18 Рәһобоам Маһалатни әмригә алди. Маһалат Давутниң оғли Йәримотниң қизи; униң аниси Йәссәниң оғли Елиабниң қизи Абиһайил еди.

And Rehoboam tooke him Mahalath ye daughter of Ierimoth the sonne of Dauid to wife, and Abihail the daughter of Eliab the sonne of Ishai,

19 Маһалаттин Рәһобоамға Йәуш, Шемария вә Заһам дегән оғуллар төрәлди.

Which bare him sonnes Ieush, and Shemariah, and Zaham.

20 Кейинки вақитларда Рәһобоам йәнә Абшаломниң [нәврә] қизи Маакаһни әмригә алди; у униңға Абия, Аттай, Зиза вә Шеломитларни туғуп бәрди.

And after her he tooke Maakah ye daughter of Absalom which bare him Abiiah, and Atthai, and Ziza, and Shelomith.

21 Рәһобоам Абшаломниң [нәврә] қизи Маакаһни әмригә алған барлиқ аяллири вә кенизәклиридин бәкрәк сөйәтти; чүнки у җәмий он сәккиз аял вә атмиш кенизәкни әмригә алған; у җәмий жигирмә сәккиз оғул, атмиш қиз пәрзәнт көргән.

And Rehoboam loued Maakah ye daughter of Absalom aboue all his wiues and his concubines: for he tooke eighteene wiues, and three score concubines, and begate eyght and twentie sonnes, and three score daughters.

22 Рәһобоам Маакаһдин болған оғли Абияни қериндашлири ичидә һәммидин чоң шаһзадә қилип тиклиди, чүнки у уни падишалиққа варис қилмақчи еди.

And Rehoboam made Abiiah the sonne of Maakah the chiefe ruler among his brethren: for he thought to make him King.

23 Рәһобоам ақиланилик билән иш көрүп, оғуллирини Йәһуданиң барлиқ зиминлири вә Биняминниң барлиқ зиминлиридики барлиқ қорғанлиқ шәһәрләргә орунлаштуруп, уларни наһайити көп запас озуқ-түлүк билән тәминлиди; у йәнә уларға нурғун хотун елип бәрди.

And he taught him: and dispersed all his sonnes throughout all the countreis of Iudah and Beniamin vnto euery strong citie: and hee gaue them aboundance of vitaile, and desired many wiues.
