1 شۇنداق بولدىكى، يېڭى يىلنىڭ بېشىدا، پادىشاھلار جەڭگە ئاتلانغان ۋاقىتتا، يوئاب كۈچلۈك قىسىمنى باشلاپ كېلىپ، ئاممونلارنىڭ يەرلىرىنى ۋەيران قىلىپ، ئاندىن رابباھنى مۇھاسىرىگە ئالدى. ئۇ چاغدا داۋۇت يېرۇسالېمدا تۇرۇۋاتاتتى. يوئاب رابباھغا ھۇجۇم قىلىپ شەھەرنى ۋەيران قىلىپ تاشلىدى.

Forsothe it was doon after the ende of a yeer, in that tyme wherinne kyngis ben wont to go forth to batels, Joab gederide the oost, and the strengthe of chyualrie, and he wastide the lond of the sones of Amon, and yede, and bisegide Rabath; forsothe Dauid dwellide in Jerusalem, whanne Joab smoot Rabath, and distriede it.

2 داۋۇت ئۇلارنىڭ پادىشاھىنىڭ بېشىدىن تاجنى ئېلىۋىدى (ئالتۇنىنىڭ ئېغىرلىقى بىر تالانت چىقتى، ئۇنىڭغا ياقۇتلار قوندۇرۇلغانىدى)، كىشىلەر بۇ تاجنى داۋۇتنىڭ بېشىغا كىيدۈرۈپ قويدى. داۋۇت شەھەردىن يەنە نۇرغۇن جەڭ غەنىيمەتلىرىنى ئېلىپ كەتتى.

3 ئۇ يەنە شەھەردىكى خەلقنى ئېلىپ چىقىپ ھەرە، جوتۇ ۋە پالتا بىلەن ئىشلەشكە سالدى؛ داۋۇت ئامموننىڭ ھەرقايسى شەھەرلىرىدىكى خەلقلەرنىمۇ شۇنداق ئىشلەتتى؛ ئاندىن داۋۇت كۆپچىلىك بىلەن يېرۇسالېمغا قايتتى.

5 كېيىنچە [ئىسرائىللار] بىلەن فىلىستىيلەر يەنە سوقۇشتى؛ يائىرنىڭ ئوغلى ئەلھانەن گاتلىق گولىياتنىڭ ئىنىسى لاخمىنى ئۆلتۈردى؛ بۇ ئادەمنىڭ نەيزىسىنىڭ دەستىسى باپكارنىڭ ئوقىدەك توم ئىدى.

6 كېيىنكى ۋاقىتلاردا گاتتا يەنە سوقۇش بولدى؛ ئۇ يەردە ناھايىتى بەستلىك بىر ئادەم بار ئىدى، ئۇنىڭ قولىدىمۇ، پۇتىدىمۇ ئالتىدىن بارماق بولۇپ، جەمئىي يىگىرمە تۆت بارمىقى بار ئىدى؛ ئۇمۇ رەفايىيلاردىن ئىدى.
