मुकाशफ़ा 17
1 और सातों फ़रिश्तों में से, जिनके पास सात प्याले थे, एक ने आकर मुझ से ये कहा, इधर आ! मैं तुझे उस बड़ी कस्बी की सज़ा दिखाऊँ, जो बहुत से पानियों पर बैठी हुई है;
Then one of the seven angels who were carrying the seven bowls came and spoke to me. "Come with me," he said, "and I will show you the doom of the great Harlot who sits upon many waters.
2 और जिसके साथ ज़मीन के बादशाहों ने हरामकारी की थी, और ज़मीन के रहनेवाले उसकी हरामकारी की मय से मतवाले हो गए थे।
The kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication."
3 पस वो मुझे पाक रूह में जंगल को ले गया, वहाँ मैंने क़िरमिज़ी रंग के हैवान पर, जो कुफ़्र के नामों से लिपा हुआ था और जिसके सात सिर और दस सींग थे, एक 'औरत को बैठे हुए देखा।
So he carried me away in the Spirit into a desert, and there I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet-colored Wild Beast which was covered with names of blasphemy and had seven heads and ten horns.
4 ये औरत इर्ग़वानी और क़िरमिज़ी लिबास पहने हुए सोने और जवाहर और मोतियों से आरास्ता थी और एक सोने का प्याला मक्रूहात का जो उसकी हरामकारी की नापकियों से भरा हुआ था उसके हाथ में था।
The woman was clothed in purple and scarlet, and was brilliantly attired with gold and jewels and pearls. She held in her hand a cup of gold, full of abominations, and she gave filthy indications of her fornication.
5 और उसके माथे पर ये नाम लिखा हुआ था “राज़; बड़ा शहर — ए — बाबुल कस्बियों और ज़मीन की मकरूहात की माँ।”
And on her forehead was a name written: "I am a symbol of great Babylon, the mother of the harlots and of the abominations of the earth."
6 और मैंने उस 'औरत को मुक़द्दसों का ख़ून और ईसा के शहीदों का ख़ून पीने से मतवाला देखा, और उसे देखकर सख़्त हैरान हुआ।
And I saw the woman drinking herself drunk with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the witnesses of Jesus. And when I saw her I was filled with utter astonishment.
7 उस फ़रिश्ते ने मुझ से कहा, “तू हैरान क्यूँ हो गया मैं इस औरत और उस हैवान का, जिस पर वो सवार है जिसके सात सिर और दस सींग हैं, तुझे भेद बताता हूँ।
Then the angel said to me, "Why are you so astonished? I will explain to you the secret meaning of the woman and of the seven-headed, ten-horned Wild Beast which carries her.
8 ये जो तू ने हैवान देखा है, ये पहले तो था मगर अब नहीं है; और आइन्दा अथाह गड्ढे से निकलकर हलाकत में पड़ेगा, और ज़मीन के रहनेवाले जिनके नाम दुनियाँ बनाने से पहले के वक़्त से किताब — ए — हयात में लिखे नहीं गए, इस हैवान का ये हाल देखकर कि पहले था और अब नहीं और फिर मौजूद हो जाएगा, ता'अज्जुब करेंगे। (Abyssos g12)
"The Wild Beast which you have seen was, and is not, and yet is destined to re-ascend, before long, out of the bottomless pit and go his way into perdition. And the inhabitants of the earth will be filled with amazement--all whose names are not in the Book of Life, having been recorded there ever since the creation of the world--when they see the Wild Beast: because he was, and is not, and yet is to come. 9 यही मौक़ा' है उस ज़हन का जिसमें हिक्मत है: वो सातों सिर पहाड़ हैं, जिन पर वो 'औरत बैठी हुई है।
Here is scope for the exercise of a mind that has wisdom! The seven heads are the seven hills on which the woman sits.
10 और वो सात बादशाह भी हैं, पाँच तो हो चुके हैं, और एक मौजूद, और एक अभी आया भी नहीं और जब आएगा तो कुछ 'अरसे तक उसका रहना ज़रूर है।
And they are seven kings: five of them have fallen, and the one is still reigning. The seventh has not yet come, but when he comes he must continue for a short time.
11 और जो हैवान पहले था और अब नहीं, वो आठवाँ है और उन सातों में से पैदा हुआ, और हलाकत में पड़ेगा।
And the Wild Beast which once existed but does not now exist--he is an eighth king and yet is one of the seven and he goes his way into perdition.
12 और वो दस सींग जो तू ने देखे दस बादशाह हैं। अभी तक उन्होंने बादशाही नहीं पाई, मगर उस हैवान के साथ घड़ी भर के वास्ते बादशाहों का सा इख़्तियार पाएँगे।
"And the ten horns which you have seen are ten kings who have not yet come to the throne, but for a single hour they are to receive authority as kings along with the Wild Beast.
13 इन सब की एक ही राय होगी, और वो अपनी क़ुदरत और इख़्तियार उस हैवान को दे देंगे।”
They have one common policy, and they are to give their power and authority to the Wild Beast.
14 “वो बर्रे से लड़ेंगे और बर्रा उन पर ग़ालिब आएगा, क्यूँकि वो ख़ुदावन्दों का ख़ुदावन्द और बादशाहों का बादशाह है; और जो बुलाए हुए और चुने हुए और वफ़ादार उसके साथ हैं, वो भी ग़ालिब आएँगे।”
They will make war upon the Lamb, and the Lamb will triumph over them; for He is Lord of lords and King of kings. And those who accompany Him--called, as they are, and chosen, and faithful--shall share in the victory."
15 फिर उसने मुझ से कहा, जो पानी तू ने देखा जिन पर कस्बी बैठी है, वो उम्मतें और गिरोह और क़ौमें और अहले ज़बान हैं।
He also said to me, "The waters which you have seen, on which the Harlot sits, are peoples and multitudes, nations and languages.
16 और जो दस सींग तू ने देखे, वो और हैवान उस कस्बी से 'अदावत रखेंगे, और उसे बेबस और नंगा कर देंगे और उसका गोश्त खा जाएँगे, और उसको आग में जला डालेंगे।
And the ten horns that you have seen--and the Wild Beast--these will hate the Harlot, and they will cause her to be laid waste and will strip her bare. They will eat her flesh, and burn her up with fire.
17 “क्यूँकि ख़ुदा उनके दिलों में ये डालेगा कि वो उसी की राय पर चलें, वो एक — राय होकर अपनी बादशाही उस हैवान को दे दें।
For God has put it into their hearts to carry out His purpose, and to carry out a common purpose and to give their kingdom to the Wild Beast until God's words have come to pass.
18 और वो 'औरत जिसे तू ने देखा, वो बड़ा शहर है जो ज़मीन के बादशाहों पर हुकूमत करता है।”
And the woman whom you have seen is the great city which has kingly power over the kings of the earth."
