ज़बूर 87

1 उसकी बुनियाद पाक पहाड़ों में है।

The city that Yahweh established is on his sacred hill.

2 ख़ुदावन्द सिय्यून के फाटकों को या'क़ूब के सब घरों से ज़्यादा 'अज़ीज़ रखता है।

He loves that city, Jerusalem, more than he loves any other city in Israel.

3 ऐ ख़ुदा के शहर! तेरी बड़ी बड़ी खू़बियाँ बयान की जाती हैं। (सिलाह)

[You people in] [APO] the city that God (owns/lives in), people say wonderful things about your city.

4 मैं रहब और बाबुल का यूँ ज़िक्र करूँगा, कि वह मेरे जानने वालों में हैं; फ़िलिस्तीन और सूर और कूश को देखो, यह वहाँ पैदा हुआ था।

[Some of those who know about God are the people of] Egypt and Babylonia, and also [the people of] Philistia and Tyre and Ethiopia; [some day they all] will say, “[Although I was not born in Jerusalem], [because I belong to Yahweh, it is as though] I was born there.”

5 बल्कि सिय्यून के बारे में कहा जाएगा, कि फ़लाँ फ़लाँ आदमी उसमें पैदा हुए। और हक़ता'ला ख़ुद उसको क़याम बख़्शेगा।

And concerning Jerusalem, people will say [“It is as though] everyone was born there, and Almighty God will cause that city to remain strong/safe/secure.”

6 ख़ुदावन्द क़ौमों के शुमार के वक़्त दर्ज करेगा, कि यह शख़्स वहाँ पैदा हुआ था।

Yahweh will write a list of [the names of] the people of various groups [who belong to him], and he will say that [he considers them] all to be citizens of Jerusalem.

7 गाने वाले और नाचने वाले यही कहेंगे कि मेरे सब चश्में तुझ ही में हैं।

They will all dance and sing, saying, “Jerusalem is the source of all our blessings.”
