ज़बूर 7
1 ऐ ख़ुदावन्द मेरे ख़ुदा, मेरा भरोसा तुझ पर है; सब पीछा करने वालों से मुझे बचा और छुड़ा,
“A Shiggayon of David, which he sang unto the Lord, concerning the affairs of Cush the Benjamite.” O Lord my God, in thee do I put my trust; save me from every one of my persecutors, and deliver me:
2 ऐसा न हो कि वह शेर — ए — बबर की तरह मेरी जान को फाड़े; वह उसे टुकड़े टुकड़े कर दे और कोई छुड़ाने वाला न हो।
Lest he tear like a lion my soul, rending it in pieces, with none to deliver.
3 ऐ ख़ुदावन्द मेरे ख़ुदा, अगर मैंने यह किया हो, अगर मेरे हाथों से बुराई हुई हो;
O Lord my God, if I have done this; if there be injustice in my hands;
4 अगर मैंने अपने मेल रखने वाले से भलाई के बदले बुराई की हो, बल्कि मैंने तो उसे जो नाहक़ मेरा मुखालिफ़ था, बचाया है;
If I have recompensed him that was at peace with me with evil; If I have taken aught from my assailants without cause:
5 तो दुश्मन मेरी जान का पीछा करके उसे आ पकड़े, बल्कि वह मेरी ज़िन्दगी को बर्बाद करके मिट्टी में, और मेरी 'इज़्ज़त को ख़ाक में मिला दे। (सिलाह)
May the enemy hotly pursue my soul, and overtake it; and tread down upon the earth my life, and cause my honor to be in the dust. (Selah)
6 ऐ ख़ुदावन्द, अपने क़हर में उठ; मेरे मुख़ालिफ़ों के ग़ज़ब के मुक़ाबिले में तू खड़ा हो जा; और मेरे लिए जाग! तूने इन्साफ़ का हुक्म तो दे दिया है।
Arise, O Lord, in thy anger, lift up thyself because of the rage of my enemies: and awake for me [to] the judgment that thou hast commanded.
7 तेरे चारों तरफ़ क़ौमों का इजितमा'अ हो; और तू उनके ऊपर 'आलम — ए — बाला को लौट जा
So shall the congregation of nations compass thee about: and for their sakes return thou to the height.
8 ख़ुदावन्द, क़ौमों का इन्साफ़ करता है; ऐ ख़ुदावन्द, उस सदाक़त — ओ — रास्ती के मुताबिक़ जो मुझ में है मेरी'अदालत कर।
The Lord will judge the people: judge me, O Lord, according to my righteousness, and according to my integrity [grant] me [recompense].
9 काश कि शरीरों की बदी का ख़ात्मा हो जाए, लेकिन सादिक़ को तू क़याम बख़्श; क्यूँकि ख़ुदा — ए — सादिक़ दिलों और गुर्दों को जाँचता है।
Oh let the evil of the wicked come to an end; but establish the just, O thou, who triest the hearts and reins, O righteous God.
10 मेरी ढाल ख़ुदा के हाथ में है, जो रास्त दिलों को बचाता है।
My protection is by God, who saveth the upright in heath.
11 ख़ुदा सादिक़ मुन्सिफ़ है, बल्कि ऐसा ख़ुदा जो हर रोज़ क़हर करता है।
God is a righteous judge, and a God who is indignant [with the wicked] every day.
12 अगर आदमी बाज़ न आए तो वहअपनी तलवार तेज़ करेगा; उसने अपनी कमान पर चिल्ला चढ़ाकर उसे तैयार कर लिया है।
If he turn not, He will whet his sword, he bendeth his bow, and maketh it ready.
13 उसने उसके लिए मौत के हथियार भी तैयार किए हैं; वह अपने तीरों को आतिशी बनाता है।
Also for him he prepareth the instruments of death; he fashioneth his arrows against the persecutors.
14 देखो, उसे बुराई की पैदाइश का दर्द लगा है! बल्कि वह शरारत से फलदार हुआ और उससे झूट पैदा हुआ।
Behold, he travaileth with wrong doing; but he hath conceived mischief, and bringeth forth falsehood.
15 उसने गढ़ा खोद कर उसे गहरा किया, और उस ख़न्दक में जो उसने बनाई थी ख़ुद गिरा।
He hath hollowed out a pit, and dug it, and is fallen into the ditch which he hath wrought.
16 उसकी शरारत उल्टी उसी के सिर पर आएगी; उसका ज़ुल्म उसी की खोपड़ी पर नाज़िल होगा।
His mischief will return upon his own head, and upon his own skull will his violence come down.
17 ख़ुदावन्द की सदाक़त के मुताबिक़ मैं उसका शुक्र करूँगा, और ख़ुदावन्द ताला के नाम की तारीफ़ गाऊँगा।
I will thank the Lord according to his righteousness; and I will sing praises to the name of the Lord the Most High.
