ज़बूर 63
1 ऐ ख़ुदा, तू मेरा ख़ुदा है, मै दिल से तेरा तालिब हूँगा; ख़ुश्क और प्यासी ज़मीन में जहाँ पानी नहीं, मेरी जान तेरी प्यासी और मेरा जिस्म तेरा मुशताक़ है
A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Idumea. O God, my God, I cry to you early; my soul has thirsted for you: how often has my flesh [longed] after you, in a barren and trackless and dry land!
2 इस तरह मैंने मक़दिस में तुझ पर निगाह की ताकि तेरी कु़दरत और हश्मत को देखूँ।
Thus have I appeared before you in the sanctuary, that I might see your power and your glory.
3 क्यूँकि तेरी शफ़क़त ज़िन्दगी से बेहतर है मेरे होंट तेरी ता'रीफ़ करेंगे।
For your mercy is better than life: my lips shall praise you.
4 इसी तरह मैं उम्र भर तुझे मुबारक कहूँगा; और तेरा नाम लेकर अपने हाथ उठाया करूँगा;
Thus will I bless you during my life: I will lift up my hands in your name.
5 मेरी जान जैसे गूदे और चर्बी से सेर होगी, और मेरा मुँह मसरूर लबों से तेरी ता'रीफ़ करेगा।
Let my soul be filled as with marrow and fatness; and [my] joyful lips shall praise your name.
6 जब मैं बिस्तर पर तुझे याद करूँगा, और रात के एक एक पहर में तुझ पर ध्यान करूँगा;
Forasmuch as I have remembered you on my bed: in the early seasons I have meditated on you.
7 इसलिए कि तू मेरा मददगार रहा है, और मैं तेरे परों के साये में ख़ुशी मनाऊँगा।
For you have been my helper, and in the shelter of your wings will I rejoice.
8 मेरी जान को तेरी ही धुन है; तेरा दहना हाथ मुझे संभालता है।
My soul has kept very close behind you: your right hand has upheld me.
9 लेकिन जो मेरी जान की हलाकत के दर पै हैं, वह ज़मीन के तह में चले जाएँगे।
But they vainly sought after my soul; they shall go into the lowest parts o the earth.
10 वह तलवार के हवाले होंगे, वह गीदड़ों का लुक्मा बनेंगे।
They shall be delivered up to the power of the sword; they shall be portions for foxes.
11 लेकिन बादशाह खु़दा में ख़ुश होगा; जो उसकी क़सम खाता है वह फ़ख़्र करेगा; क्यूँकि झूट बोलने वालों का मुँह बन्द कर दिया जाएगा
But the king shall rejoice in God; every one that swears by him shall be praised; for the mouth of them that speak unjust things has been stopped.
