ज़बूर 5
1 ऐ ख़ुदावन्द मेरी बातो पर कान लगा! मेरी आहों पर तवज्जुह कर!
To the chief Musician. Upon Nehiloth. A Psalm of David. Give ear to my words, O Jehovah; consider my (meditation)
2 ऐ मेरे बादशाह! ऐ मेरे ख़ुदा! मेरी फ़रियाद की आवाज़ की तरफ़ मुतवज्जिह हो, क्यूँकि मैं तुझ ही से दुआ करता हूँ।
Hearken unto the voice of my crying, my king and my God; for to thee will I pray.
3 ऐ ख़ुदावन्द तू सुबह को मेरी आवाज़ सुनेगा। मैं सवेरे ही तुझ से दुआ करके इन्तिज़ार करूँगा।
Jehovah, in the morning shalt thou hear my voice; in the morning will I address myself to thee, and will look up.
4 क्यूँकि तू ऐसा ख़ुदा नहीं जो शरारत से खु़श हो। गुनाह तेरे साथ नहीं रह सकता।
For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness; evil shall not sojourn with thee.
5 घमंडी तेरे सामने खड़े न होंगे। तुझे सब बदकिरदारों से नफ़रत है।
Insolent fools shall not stand before thine eyes; thou hatest all workers of iniquity.
6 तू उनको जो झूट बोलते हैं हलाक करेगा। ख़ुदावन्द को खू़ँख़्वार और दग़ाबाज़ आदमी से नफ़रत है।
Thou wilt destroy them that speak lies: Jehovah abhorreth a man of blood and deceit.
7 लेकिन मैं तेरी शफ़क़त की कसरत से तेरे घर में आऊँगा। मैं तेरा रौ'ब मानकर तेरी पाक हैकल की तरफ़ रुख़ करके सिज्दा करूँगा।
But as for me, in the greatness of thy loving-kindness will I enter thy house; I will bow down toward the temple of thy holiness in thy fear.
8 ऐ ख़ुदावन्द! मेरे दुश्मनों की वजह से मुझे अपनी सदाक़त में चला; मेरे आगे आगे अपनी राह को साफ़ कर दे।
Lead me, Jehovah, in thy righteousness, because of my foes; make thy way plain before me.
9 क्यूँकि उनके मुँह में ज़रा सच्चाई नहीं, उनका बातिन सिर्फ़ बुराई है। उनका गला खुली क़ब्र है, वह अपनी ज़बान से ख़ुशामद करते हैं।
For there is no certainty in their mouth; their inward part is perversion, their throat is an open sepulchre; they flatter with their tongue.
10 ऐ ख़ुदा तू उनको मुजरिम ठहरा; वह अपने ही मश्वरों से तबाह हों। उनको उनके गुनाहों की ज़्यादती की वजह से ख़ारिज कर दे; क्यूँकि उन्होंने तुझ से बग़ावत की है।
Bring guilt upon them, O God; let them fall by their own counsels: drive them out in the multitude of their transgressions, for they have rebelled against thee.
11 लेकिन वह सब जो तुझ पर भरोसा रखते हैं, शादमान हों, वह सदा ख़ुशी से ललकारें, क्यूँकि तू उनकी हिमायत करता है। और जो तेरे नाम से मुहब्बत रखते हैं, तुझ में ख़ुश रहें।
And all that trust in thee shall rejoice: for ever shall they shout joyously, and thou wilt protect them; and they that love thy name shall exult in thee.
12 क्यूँकि तू सादिक़ को बरकत बख़्शेगा। ऐ ख़ुदावन्द! तू उसे करम से ढाल की तरह ढाँक लेगा।
For thou, Jehovah, wilt bless the righteous [man]; with favour wilt thou surround him as [with] a shield.
