ज़बूर 37
1 तू बदकिरदारों की वजह से बेज़ार न हो, और बदी करने वालों पर रश्क न कर!
David’s. [An Alphabetical Psalm.] Burn not with vexation because of evil-doers, Be not envious of the workers of perversity;
2 क्यूँकि वह घास की तरह जल्द काट डाले जाएँगे, और हरियाली की तरह मुरझा जाएँगे।
For, like grass, soon shall they wither, and, like green herbage, shall they fade.
3 ख़ुदावन्द पर भरोसा कर, और नेकी कर; मुल्क में आबाद रह, और उसकी वफ़ादारी से परवरिश पा।
Trust in Yahweh, and do good, Dwell in the land, and feed on fidelity;
4 ख़ुदावन्द में मसरूर रह, और वह तेरे दिल की मुरादें पूरी करेगा।
Yea, rest thy delight on Yahweh, that he may give thee the requests of thy heart.
5 अपनी राह ख़ुदावन्द पर छोड़ दे: और उस पर भरोसा कर, वही सब कुछ करेगा।
Roll on Yahweh thy way, Trust also in him, and, he, will effectually work:
6 वह तेरी रास्तबाज़ी को नूर की तरह, और तेरे हक़ को दोपहर की तरह रोशन करेगा।
So will he bring forth, as the light, thy righteousness, and thy vindication as the noonday.
7 ख़ुदावन्द में मुतम'इन रह, और सब्र से उसकी आस रख; उस आदमी की वजह से जो अपनी राह में कामयाब होता और बुरे मन्सूबों को अंजाम देता है, बेज़ार न हो।
Be resigned to Yahweh, yea wait with longing for him; Burn not with vexation at him who prospereth in his way, —at the man who doeth wickedness.
8 क़हर से बाज़ आ और ग़ज़ब को छोड़ दे! बेज़ार न हो, इससे बुराई ही निकलती है।
Cease from anger, and forsake wrath, Burn not with vexation—[it would be] only to do evil;
9 क्यूँकि बदकार काट डाले जाएँगे; लेकिन जिनको ख़ुदावन्द की आस है, मुल्क के वारिस होंगे।
For, evil doers, shall be cut off, but, as for them who wait for Yahweh, they, shall inherit the earth.
10 क्यूँकि थोड़ी देर में शरीर नाबूद हो जाएगा; तू उसकी जगह को ग़ौर से देखेगा पर वह न होगा।
Yet a little, therefore, and the lawless one shall not be, Yea thou shalt look about, over his place—and he shall have vanished!
11 लेकिन हलीम मुल्क के वारिस होंगे, और सलामती की फ़िरावानी से ख़ुश रहेंगे।
But, the patient oppressed-ones, shall inherit the earth, and shall delight themselves over the abundance of prosperity.
12 शरीर रास्तबाज़ के ख़िलाफ़ बन्दिशें बाँधता है, और उस पर दाँत पीसता है;
Plotting is the lawless one, against the just, and gnashing upon him with his teeth.
13 ख़ुदावन्द उस पर हंसेगा, क्यूँकि वह देखता है कि उसका दिनआता है।
My Lord, shall laugh at him, for he seeth, that his day, will come.
14 शरीरों ने तलवार निकाली और कमान खींची है, ताकि ग़रीब और मुहताज को गिरा दें, और रास्तरों को क़त्ल करें।
A sword, have the lawless, drawn out, and have trodden their bow, —To bring down the oppressed and the needy, To slaughter the upright in life:
15 उनकी तलवार उन ही के दिल को छेदेगी, और उनकी कमानें तोड़ी जाएँगी।
Their sword, shall enter into their own heart, and, their bow, shall be broken.
16 सादिक़ का थोड़ा सा माल, बहुत से शरीरों की दौलत से बेहतर है।
Better the little of the righteous man, than the abundance of the lawless who are mighty;
17 क्यूँकि शरीरों के बाज़ू तोड़े जाएँगे, लेकिन ख़ुदावन्द सादिकों को संभालता है।
For, the arms of the lawless, shall be broken, But Yahweh is upholding the righteous.
18 कामिल लोगों के दिनों को ख़ुदावन्द जानता है, उनकी मीरास हमेशा के लिए होगी।
Yahweh knoweth the days of the blameless, that, their inheritance, unto times age-abiding, shall continue.
19 वह आफ़त के वक़्त शर्मिन्दा न होंगे, और काल के दिनों में आसूदा रहेंगे।
They shall not be ashamed in the time of calamity, and, in the days of famine, shall they be filled.
20 लेकिन शरीर हलाक होंगे, ख़ुदावन्द के दुश्मन चरागाहों की सरसब्ज़ी की तरह होंगे; वह फ़ना हो जाएँगे, वह धुएँ की तरह जाते रहेंगे।
For, the lawless, shall perish, and, the foes of Yahweh, be like the glory of the meadows, They have vanished! In smoke, have they vanished!
21 शरीर क़र्ज़ लेता है और अदा नहीं करता, लेकिन सादिक़ रहम करता है और देता है।
A lawless man borroweth, and will not repay, But, a righteous man, showeth favour and giveth;
22 क्यूँकि जिनको वह बरकत देता है, वह ज़मीन के वारिस होंगे; और जिन पर वह ला'नत करता है, वह काट डाले जाएँगे।
For, such as are blessed of him, shall inherit the earth, But, the cursed of him, shall be cut off.
23 इंसान की चाल चलन ख़ुदावन्द की तरफ़ से क़ाईम हैं, और वह उसकी राह से ख़ुश है;
From Yahweh, are the steps of a man made firm, When, with his way, he is well pleased:
24 अगर वह गिर भी जाए तो पड़ा न रहेगा, क्यूँकि ख़ुदावन्द उसे अपने हाथ से संभालता है।
Though he fall, he shall not be hurled headlong, For, Yahweh, is holding his hand.
25 मैं जवान था और अब बूढ़ा हूँ तोभी मैंने सादिक़ को बेकस, और उसकी औलाद को टुकड़े माँगते नहीं देखा।
Young, have I been, moreover am old, —Yet have I not seen, A righteous man forsaken, Nor his seed begging bread:
26 वह दिन भर रहम करता है और क़र्ज़ देता है, और उसकी औलाद को बरकत मिलती है।
All day long, is he showing favour and lending, his seed, therefore, shall have a blessing.
27 बदी को छोड़ दे और नेकी कर; और हमेशा तक आबाद रह।
Turn from evil, and do good, and so settle down, unto times age-abiding.
28 क्यूँकि ख़ुदावन्द इन्साफ़ को पसंद करता है: और अपने पाक लोगों को नहीं छोड़ता। वह हमेशा के लिए महफ़ूज़ हैं, लेकिन शरीरों की नसल काट डाली जाएगी।
For, Yahweh, loveth justice, and will not forsake his men of lovingkindness, Unto times age-abiding, have the perverse been destroyed, —and the seed of the lawless, been cut off.
29 सादिक़ ज़मीन के वारिस होंगे, और उसमें हमेशा बसे रहेंगे।
The righteous, shall inherit the earth, that they may settle down, to futurity, thereupon.
30 सादिक़ के मुँह से दानाई निकलती है, और उसकी ज़बान से इन्साफ़ की बातें।
The mouth of a righteous man, softly uttereth wisdom, and, his tongue, speaketh justice:
31 उसके ख़ुदा की शरी'अत उसके दिल में है, वह अपनी चाल चलन में फिसलेगा नहीं।
The law of his God, is in his heart, his steps shall not swerve.
32 शरीर सादिक़ की ताक में रहता है; और उसे क़त्ल करना चाहता है।
The lawless man, lieth in wait, for the just, and seeketh to put him to death:
33 ख़ुदावन्द उसे उसके हाथ में नहीं छोड़ेगा, और जब उसकी 'अदालत हो तो उसे मुजरिम न ठहराएगा।
Yahweh, will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him, when he is judged.
34 ख़ुदावन्द की उम्मीद रख, और उसी की राह पर चलता रह, और वह तुझे सरफ़राज़ करके ज़मीन का वारिस बनाएगा; जब शरीर काट डाले जाएँगे, तो तू देखेगा।
Wait for Yahweh, and observe thou his path, that he may exalt thee, to inherit the earth, On the cutting off of the lawless, shalt thou look.
35 मैंने शरीर को बड़े इक्तिदार में और ऐसा फैलता देखा, जैसे कोई हरा दरख़्त अपनी असली ज़मीन में फैलता है।
I have seen a lawless man, a tyrant, and spreading himself out, like a cedar in Lebanon;
36 लेकिन जब कोई उधर से गुज़राऔर देखा तो वह था ही नहीं; बल्कि मैंने उसे ढूंढा लेकिन वह न मिला।
Then I passed by, and lo! he had vanished! Yea I sought him, but he could not be found.
37 कामिल आदमी पर निगाह कर और रास्तबाज़ को देख, क्यूँकि सुलह दोस्त आदमी के लिए अज्र है।
Mark the blameless man, and behold the upright, for there is a hereafter for the man of peace;
38 लेकिन ख़ताकार इकट्ठे मर मिटेंगे; शरीरों का अंजाम हलाकत है।
But, transgressors, are to be destroyed together, the hereafter of lawless men, is to be cut off.
39 लेकिन सादिकों की नजात ख़ुदावन्द की तरफ़ से है; मुसीबत के वक़्त वह उनका मज़बूत क़िला है।
But, the deliverance of the righteous, is from Yahweh, their refuge in a time of distress.
40 और ख़ुदावन्द उनकी मदद करताऔर उनको बचाता है; वह उनको शरीरों से छुड़ाता और बचा लेता है, इसलिए कि उन्होंने उसमें पनाह ली है।
Thus hath Yahweh helped them, thus hath he delivered them, —He will deliver them from the lawless, and will save them, because they have sought refuge in him.
