ज़बूर 21
1 ऐ ख़ुदावन्द! तेरी ताक़त से बादशाह खु़श होगा; और तेरी नजात से उसे बहुत ख़ुशी होगी।
For the music director. A psalm of David. The king celebrates your strength, Lord; he is so happy you made him victorious!
2 तूने उसके दिल की आरज़ू पूरी की है, और उसके मुँह की दरख़्वास्त को नामंजूर नहीं किया। (सिलाह)
You gave him everything he wanted; you didn't hold anything back he asked for.
3 क्यूँकि तू उसे 'उम्दा बरकतें बख़्शने में पेश कदमी करता, और ख़ालिस सोने का ताज उसके सिर पर रखता है।
You welcomed him on his return with special blessings; you placed a crown of pure gold on his head.
4 उसने तुझ से ज़िन्दगी चाही और तूने बख़्शी; बल्कि उम्र की दराज़ी हमेशा के लिए।
He asked you to give him a good life, and you gave him a long life, forever and ever.
5 तेरी नजात की वजह से उसकी शौकत 'अज़ीम है; तू उसे हश्मत — ओ — जलाल से आरास्ता करता है।
Your victories brought him great glory; you granted him splendor and majesty.
6 क्यूँकि तू हमेशा के लिए उसे बरकतों से मालामाल करता है; और अपने सामने उसे ख़ुश — ओ — ख़ुर्रम रखता है।
You give him blessings forever. He is full of joy because you are with him.
7 क्यूँकि बादशाह का भरोसा ख़ुदावन्द पर है; और हक़ता'ला की शफ़क़त की बदौलत उसे हरगिज़ जुम्बिश न होगी।
For the king trusts in the Lord; he stands firm because of the trustworthy love of the Most High.
8 तेरा हाथ तेरे सब दुश्मनों को ढूंड निकालेगा, तेरा दहना हाथ तुझ से कीना रखने वालों का पता लगा लेगा।
You, the king, will find and capture all your enemies; you will seize everyone who hates you.
9 तू अपने क़हर के वक़्त उनको जलते तनूर की तरह कर देगा। ख़ुदावन्द अपने ग़ज़ब में उनको निगल जाएगा, और आग उनको खा जाएगी।
When you appear on the scene you will burn them up like in a furnace; the Lord in his anger will destroy them, burning them up with fire.
10 तू उनके फल को ज़मीन पर से बर्बाद कर देगा, और उनकी नसल को बनी आदम में से।
You will wipe out their children from the earth, their descendants from humankind.
11 क्यूँकि उन्होंने तुझ से बदी करना चाहा, उन्होंने ऐसा मन्सूबा बाँधा जिसे वह पूरा नहीं कर सकते।
Though they plot evil against you, their malicious schemes will not succeed.
12 क्यूँकि तू उनका मुँह फेर देगा, तू उनके मुक़ाबले में अपने चिल्ले चढ़ाएगा।
They will turn and run away when they see your arrows fired at them.
13 ऐ ख़ुदावन्द, तू अपनी ही ताक़त में सरबुलन्द हो! और हम गाकर तेरी क़ुदरत की सिताइश करेंगे।
Rise up, Lord, for you are strong! We will sing and praise your power!
