ज़बूर 110

1 यहोवा ने मेरे ख़ुदावन्द से कहा, “जब तक कि मैं तेरे दुश्मनों को तेरे पाँव की चौकी न कर दूँ।”

Yahweh said to my lord [the king], “Sit [here], close to me, in the place of highest honor [MTY] until I [completely defeat] your enemies [MET] [and] make [them like] a stool for your feet!”

2 ख़ुदावन्द तेरे ज़ोर का 'असा सिय्यून से भेजेगा। तू अपने दुश्मनों में हुक्मरानी कर।

Yahweh [also said to him], “I will extend your power as king from Jerusalem [to other lands]; you will rule over all your enemies.

3 लश्करकशी के दिन तेरे लोग ख़ुशी से अपने आप को पेश करते हैं; तेरे जवान पाक आराइश में हैं, और सुबह के बत्न से शबनम की तरह।

On the day that you lead your armies into battle, many of your people will volunteer [to join your army]. Like the dew refreshes the earth early in the morning, young men will [encourage you by] coming to help you.”

4 ख़ुदावन्द ने क़सम खाई है और फिरेगा नहीं, “तू मलिक — ए — सिद्क के तौर पर हमेशा तक काहिन है।”

Yahweh has made a solemn promise, and he will never change his mind; he has said to the king, “You will be a priest forever [serving Yahweh] like Melchizedek did.”

5 ख़ुदावन्द तेरे दहने हाथ पर अपने कहर के दिन बादशाहों को छेद डालेगा।

Yahweh stands [in the place of highest honor] your right side; when he becomes angry, he will defeat [many kings].

6 वह क़ौमों में 'अदालत करेगा, वह लाशों के ढेर लगा देगा; और बहुत से मुल्कों में सिरों को कुचलेगा।

He will judge and punish the people of [many] nations; he will fill the land with their corpses. He will crush the heads of other kings all over the earth.

7 वह राह में नदी का पानी पिएगा; इसलिए वह सिर को बुलन्द करेगा।

But my lord the king will drink from streams near the road; he will be refreshed after defeating his enemies.
