ज़बूर 106
1 ख़ुदावन्द की हम्द करो, ख़ुदावन्द का शुक्र करो, क्यूँकि वह भला है; और उसकी शफ़क़त हमेशा की है!
Hallelujah. Oh give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: for to eternity endureth his kindness.
2 कौन ख़ुदावन्द की कु़दरत के कामों काबयान कर सकता है, या उसकी पूरी सिताइश सुना सकता है?
Who can utter the mighty acts of the Lord? who can publish all his praise?
3 मुबारक हैं वह जो 'अद्ल करते हैं, और वह जो हर वक़्त सदाक़त के काम करता है।
Happy are those that observe justice, that execute righteousness at all times.
4 ऐ ख़ुदावन्द, उस करम से जो तू अपने लोगों पर करता है मुझे याद कर, अपनी नजात मुझे इनायत फ़रमा,
Remember me, O Lord, when thou favorest thy people: oh visit me with thy salvation;
5 ताकि मैं तेरे बरगुज़ीदों की इक़बालमंदी देखें और तेरी क़ौम की ख़ुशी में ख़ुश रहूँ। और तेरी मीरास के लोगों के साथ फ़ख़्र करूँ।
That I may look on the happiness of thy elect, that I may rejoice in the joy of thy nation, that I may glorify myself with thy inheritance.
6 हम ने और हमारे बाप दादा ने गुनाह किया; हम ने बदकारी की, हम ने शरारत के काम किए!
We have sinned together with our fathers, we have committed iniquity, we have done wickedly.
7 हमारे बाप — दादा मिस्र में तेरे 'अजायब न समझे; उन्होंने तेरी शफ़क़त की कसरत को याद न किया; बल्कि समन्दर पर या'नी बहर — ए — कु़लजु़म पर बाग़ी हुए।
Our fathers did not reflect on thy wonders in Egypt: they remembered not the multitude of thy kindnesses; but rebelled at the sea, even at the Red Sea.
8 तोभी उसने उनको अपने नाम की ख़ातिर बचाया, ताकि अपनी कु़दरत ज़ाहिर करे
Nevertheless he saved them for the sake of his name, to make known his might.
9 उसने बहर — ए — कु़लजु़म को डाँटा और वह सूख गया। वह उनकी गहराव में से ऐसे निकाल ले गया जैसे वीरान में से,
He rebuked the Red Sea also, and it was dried up; and he led them through the depths, as through the wilderness.
10 और उसने उनको 'अदावत रखने वाले के हाथ से बचाया, और दुश्मन के हाथ से छुड़ाया।
And he saved them from the hand of him that hated them, and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.
11 समन्दर ने उनके मुख़ालिफ़ों को छिपा लियाः उनमें से एक भी न बचा।
And the waters covered their adversaries: not one of them was left.
12 तब उन्होंने उसके क़ौल का यक़ीन किया; और उसकी मदहसराई करने लगे।
Then believed they in his words, they sang his praise.
13 फिर वह जल्द उसके कामों को भूल गए, और उसकी मश्वरत का इन्तिज़ार न किया।
Speedily they forgot his works, they waited not for his counsel;
14 बल्कि वीरान में बड़ी हिर्स की, और सेहरा में ख़ुदा को आज़माया।
And they felt a lustful longing in the wilderness, and tempted God in the desert.
15 फिर उसने उनकी मुराद तो पूरी कर दी, लेकिन उनकी जान को सुखा दिया।
And he gave them what they had asked; but sent dryness into their soul.
16 उन्होंने ख़ेमागाह में मूसा पर, और ख़ुदावन्द के पाक मर्द हारून पर हसद किया।
Moreover they envied Moses in the camp, and Aaron the holy one of the Lord.
17 फिर ज़मीन फटी और दातन को निगल गई, और अबीराम की जमा'अत को खा गई,
The earth opened and swallowed up Dathan, and covered over the company of Abiram.
18 और उनके जत्थे में आग भड़क उठी, और शो'लों ने शरीरों को भसम कर दिया।
And a fire was kindled in their company: the flame burnt up the wicked.
19 उन्होंने होरिब में एक बछड़ा बनाया, और ढाली हुई मूरत को सिज्दा किया।
They made a calf in Horeb, and bowed themselves down to a molten image.
20 यूँ उन्होंने ख़ुदा के जलाल को, घास खाने वाले बैल की शक्ल से बदल दिया।
And they exchanged their glory for the similitude of an ox that eateth herbs.
21 वह अपने मुनज्जी ख़ुदा को भूल गए, जिसने मिस्र में बड़े बड़े काम किए,
They forgot God their saviour, who had done great things in Egypt,
22 और हाम की सरज़मीन में 'अजायब, और बहर — ए — कु़लजु़म पर दहशत अंगेज़ काम किए।
Wonders in the land of Ham, terrible things by the Red Sea.
23 इसलिए उसने फ़रमाया, मैं उनको हलाक कर डालता, अगर मेरा बरगुज़ीदा मूसा मेरे सामने बीच में न आता कि मेरे क़हर को टाल दे, ऐसा न हो कि मैं उनको हलाक करूँ।
He therefore spoke of destroying them: had not Moses his elect stood in the breach before him, to turn away his fury, that he might not destroy.
24 और उन्होंने उस सुहाने मुल्क को हक़ीर जाना, और उसके क़ौल का यक़ीन न किया।
And they despised the pleasant land, they believed not in his word;
25 बल्कि वह अपने डेरों में बड़बड़ाए, और ख़ुदावन्द की बात न मानी।
But they murmured in their tents, they hearkened not unto the voice of the Lord.
26 तब उसने उनके ख़िलाफ़ क़सम खाई कि मैं उनको वीरान में पस्त करूँगा,
He therefore lifted up his hand against them, to cause them to fall in the wilderness;
27 और उनकी नसल की क़ौमों के बीच और उनको मुल्क मुल्क में तितर बितर करूँगा।
And to let their seed fall among the nations, and to scatter them in the lands.
28 वह बा'ल फ़गू़र को पूजने लगे, और बुतों की कु़र्बानियाँ खाने लगे।
And they joined themselves unto Ba'al-pe'or, and ate the sacrifices of the dead.
29 यूँ उन्होंने अपने आ'माल से उसको ना ख़ुश किया, और वबा उनमें फूट निकली।
And they provoked him to anger with their deeds: and there broke in among them the plague.
30 तब फ़ीन्हास उठा और बीच में आया, और वबा रुक गई।
Then stood up Phinehas, and executed judgment: and the plague was stayed.
31 और यह काम उसके हक़ में नसल दर नसल, हमेशा के लिए रास्तबाज़ी गिना गया।
And it was accounted unto him for righteousness, unto all generations for evermore.
32 उन्होंने उसकी मरीबा के चश्मे पर भी नाख़ुश किया, और उनकी ख़ातिर मूसा को नुक़सान पहुँचा;
They angered him also at the waters of Meribah, and evil happened to Moses for their sake;
33 इसलिए कि उन्होंने उसकी रूह से सरकशी की, और मूसा बे सोचे बोल उठा।
Because they had embittered his spirit, and so he spoke thoughtlessly with his lips.
34 उन्होंने उन क़ौमों को हलाक न किया, जैसा ख़ुदावन्द ने उनको हुक्म दिया था,
They did not exterminate the nations, that the Lord had indicated to them;
35 बल्कि उन कौमों के साथ मिल गए, और उनके से काम सीख गए;
But they mingled themselves among the nations, and learned their doings.
36 और उनके बुतों की परस्तिश करने लगे, जो उनके लिए फंदा बन गए।
And they served their idols, and these became unto them a snare.
37 बल्कि उन्होंने अपने बेटे बेटियों को, शयातीन के लिए कु़र्बान किया:
Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto the evil spirits;
38 और मासूमों का या'नी अपने बेटे बेटियों का खू़न बहाया, जिनको उन्होंने कनान के बुतों के लिए कु़र्बान कर दियाः और मुल्क खू़न से नापाक हो गया।
And they shed innocent blood, the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan: and the land was polluted with blood-guiltiness.
39 यूँ वह अपने ही कामों से आलूदा हो गए, और अपने फ़े'लों से बेवफ़ा बने।
Thus were they made unclean through their own doings, and went astray with their own deeds.
40 इसलिए ख़ुदावन्द का क़हर अपने लोगों पर भड़का, और उसे अपनी मीरास से नफ़रत हो गई;
therefore was the wrath of the Lord kindled against his people, and be felt disgust for his own inheritance.
41 और उसने उनकी क़ौमों के क़ब्ज़े में कर दिया, और उनसे 'अदावत रखने वाले उन पर हुक्मरान हो गए।
And he gave them up into the hand of the nations: and there ruled over them those that hated them.
42 उनके दुशमनों ने उन पर ज़ुल्म किया, और वह उनके महकूम हो गए।
And their enemies also oppressed them: and they were subdued under their hand.
43 उसने तो बारहा उनको छुड़ाया, लेकिन उनका मश्वरा बग़ावत वाला ही रहा और वह अपनी बदकारी के वजह से पस्त हो गए।
Many times did he deliver them; but they rebelled with their counsel, and they were brought low through their iniquity.
44 तोभी जब उसने उनकी फ़रियाद सुनी, तो उनके दुख पर नज़र की।
Nevertheless he looked on when they were in distress, when he heard their entreaty.
45 और उसने उनके हक़ में अपने 'अहद को याद किया, और अपनी शफ़क़त की कसरत के मुताबिक़ तरस खाया।
And he remembered unto them his covenant, and he bethought himself according to the abundance of his kindnesses;
46 उसने उनकी ग़ुलाम करने वालों के दिलमें उनके लिए रहम डाला।
And be caused them to find mercy before all those that had carried them away captive.
47 ऐ ख़ुदावन्द, हमारे ख़ुदा! हम को बचा ले, और हम को क़ौमों में से इकट्ठा कर ले, ताकि हम तेरे पाक नाम का शुक्र करें, और ललकारते हुए तेरी सिताइश करें।
Save us, O Lord our God, and gather us from among the nations, to give thanks unto thy holy name, to triumph in thy praise.
48 ख़ुदावन्द इस्राईल का ख़ुदा, इब्तिदा से हमेशा तक मुबारक हो! ख़ुदावन्द की हम्द करो।
Blessed be the Lord the God of Israel from everlasting even to everlasting: and let all the people say, Amen, Hallelujah.
