ज़बूर 105
1 ख़ुदावन्द का शुक्र करो, उसके नाम से दुआ करो; क़ौमों में उसके कामों का बयान करो!
O give thanks unto the Lord; call on his name: make known among the people his deeds.
2 उसकी ता'रीफ़ में गाओ, उसकी मदहसराई करो; उसके तमाम 'अजायब का चर्चा करो!
Sing unto, him, sing praises unto him: speak of all his wonderful works.
3 उसके पाक नाम पर फ़ख़्र करो, ख़ुदावन्द के तालिबों के दिल ख़ुश हों!
Glorify yourselves in his holy name: let the heart of those rejoice that seek the Lord.
4 ख़ुदावन्द और उसकी ताक़त के तालिब हो, हमेशा उसके दीदार के तालिब रहो!
Inquire after the Lord and his strength: seek his presence evermore.
5 उन 'अजीब कामों को जो उसने किए, उसके 'अजायब और मुँह केअहकाम को याद रख्खो!
Remember his wonderful works which he hath done; his tokens, and the decrees of his mouth;
6 ऐ उसके बन्दे अब्रहाम की नसल! ऐ बनी या'क़ूब उसके बरगुज़ीदो!
O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob, his elect.
7 वही ख़ुदावन्द हमारा ख़ुदा है; उसके अहकाम तमाम ज़मीन पर हैं।
He is the Lord our God: over all the earth are his decrees.
8 उसने अपने 'अहद को हमेशा याद रख्खा, या'नी उस कलाम को जो उसने हज़ार नसलों के लिए फ़रमाया;
He remembereth his covenant for ever, the word which he hath commanded, to the thousandth generation.
9 उसी 'अहद को जो उसने अब्रहाम से बाँधा, और उस क़सम को जो उसने इस्हाक़ से खाई,
Which he covenanted with Abraham; and his oath unto Isaac;
10 और उसी को उसने या'क़ूब के लिए क़ानून, या'नी इस्राईल के लिए हमेशा का 'अहद ठहराया,
And which he established unto Jacob as a statute, unto Israel as an everlasting covenant:
11 और कहा, “मैं कनान का मुल्क तुझे दूँगा, कि तुम्हारा मौरूसी हिस्सा हो।”
Saying, “Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, as the portion of your inheritance.”
12 उस वक़्त वह शुमार में थोड़े थे, बल्कि बहुत थोड़े और उस मुल्क में मुसाफ़िर थे।
When they were but a few men in number; yea, very few, and strangers in it;
13 और वह एक क़ौम से दूसरी क़ौम में, और एक सल्तनत से दूसरी सल्तनत में फिरते रहे।
And when they wandered from one nation to another, from one kingdom to another people:
14 उसने किसी आदमी को उन पर ज़ुल्म न करने दिया, बल्कि उनकी ख़ातिर उसने बादशाहों को धमकाया,
He suffered no man to oppress them; yea, he reproved kings for their sake;
15 और कहा, “मेरे मम्सूहों को हाथ न लगाओ, और मेरे नबियों को कोई नुक़सान न पहुँचाओ!”
[Saying, ] “Touch not my anointed, and do my prophets no harm,”—
16 फिर उसने फ़रमाया, कि उस मुल्क पर क़हत नाज़िल हो और उसने रोटी का सहारा बिल्कुल तोड़ दिया।
And he called for a famine over the land; every staff of bread he broke.
17 उसने उनसे पहले एक आदमी को भेजा, यूसुफ़ गु़लामी में बेचा गया।
He sent a man before them; for a servant was Joseph sold;
18 उन्होंने उसके पाँव को बेड़ियों से दुख दिया; वह लोहे की ज़न्जीरों में जकड़ा रहा;
They forced into fetters his feet; in iron was his body put:
19 जब तक के उसका बात पूरा न हुआ, ख़ुदावन्द का कलाम उसे आज़माता रहा।
Until the time that his word came to pass, [when] the saying of the Lord had purified him.
20 बादशाह ने हुक्म भेज कर उसे छुड़ाया, हाँ क़ौमों के फ़रमान रवा ने उसे आज़ाद किया।
The king sent and unfettered him; the ruler of people, and let him go free.
21 उसने उसको अपने घर का मुख़्तार और अपनी सारी मिलिकयत पर हाकिम बनाया,
He appointed him lord of his house, and ruler of all his possession:
22 ताकि उसके हाकिमों को जब चाहे कै़द करे, और उसके बुज़ुर्गों को अक़्ल सिखाए।
That he might bind his princes at his pleasure; and teach his ancients wisdom.
23 इस्राईल भी मिस्र में आया, और या'क़ूब हाम की सरज़मीन में मुसाफ़िर रहा।
Then came Israel into Egypt, and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.
24 और ख़ुदा ने अपने लोगों को खू़ब बढ़ाया, और उनको उनके मुख़ालिफ़ों से ज़्यादा मज़बूत किया।
And he increased his people greatly, and made them stronger than their adversaries.
25 उसने उनके दिल को नाफ़रमान किया, ताकि उसकी क़ौम से 'अदावत रख्खें, और उसके बन्दों से दग़ाबाजी करें।
He turned their heart to hate his people, to deal subtilely with his servants.
26 उसने अपने बन्दे मूसा को, और अपने बरगुज़ीदा हारून को भेजा।
He sent Moses his servant, Aaron also whom he had made choice of.
27 उसने उनके बीच निशान और मुअजिज़ात, और हाम की सरज़मीन में 'अजायब दिखाए।
They displayed among them his effective signs, and wonders in the land of Ham.
28 उसने तारीकी भेजकर अँधेरा कर दिया; और उन्होंने उसकी बातों से सरकशी न की।
He sent darkness, and made it dark; and they rebelled not against his word.
29 उसने उनकी नदियों को लहू बना दिया, और उनकी मछलियाँ मार डालीं।
He changed their waters into blood, and slew their fish.
30 उनके मुल्क और बादशाहों के बालाख़ानों में, मेंढक ही मेंढक भर गए।
Their land brought forth frogs in abundance, in the very chambers of their kings.
31 उसने हुक्म दिया, और मच्छरों के ग़ोल आए, और उनकी सब हदों में जूएं आ गई
He spoke, and there came various wild beasts, lice also within all their boundary.
32 उसने उन पर मेंह की जगह ओले बरसाए, और उनके मुल्क पर दहकती आग नाज़िल की।
He gave them as their rain hail, and flames of fire in their land.
33 उसने उनके अँगूर और अंजीर के दरख़तों को भी बर्बाद कर डाला, और उनकी हद के पेड़ तोड़ डाले।
And he smote their vines and their fig-trees, and broke the trees within their boundary.
34 उसने हुक्म दिया तो बेशुमार टिड्डियाँऔर कीड़े आ गए,
He spoke, and the locusts came, and crickets, and that without number;
35 और उनके मुल्क की तमाम चीज़े चट कर गए, और उनकी ज़मीन की पैदावार खा गए।
And they ate up all the herbs in their land, and ate up the fruit of their ground.
36 उसने उनके मुल्क के सब पहलौठों को भी मार डाला, जो उनकी पूरी ताक़त के पहले फल थे।
And he smote all the first-born in their land, the first of all their strength.
37 और इस्राईल को चाँदी और सोने के साथ निकाल लाया, और उसके क़बीलों में एक भी कमज़ोर आदमी न था।
And he brought them forth with silver and gold: and there was not one that stumbled among his tribes.
38 उनके चले जाने से मिस्र खु़श हो गया, क्यूँकि उनका ख़ौफ़ मिस्रियों पर छा गया था।
Egypt rejoiced when they departed; for the dread of them was fallen upon them.
39 उसने बादल को सायबान होने के लिए फैला दिया, और रात को रोशनी के लिए आग दी।
He spread out a cloud for a covering, and fire to give light in the night.
40 उनके माँगने पर उसने बटेरें भेजीं, और उनको आसमानी रोटी से सेर किया।
The people asked, and he brought quails, and with heavenly bread he satisfied them.
41 उसने चट्टान को चीरा, और पानी फूट निकलाः और ख़ुश्क ज़मीन पर नदी की तरह बहने लगा।
He opened the rock, and the waters gushed out: they ran in the dry places like a river.
42 क्यूँकि उसने अपने पाक क़ौल को, और अपने बन्दे अब्रहाम को याद किया।
For he remembered his holy word given to Abraham his servant.
43 और वह अपनी क़ौम को ख़ुशी के साथ, और अपने बरगुज़ीदों को हम्द गाते हुए निकाल लाया।
And he brought forth his people with gladness, with joyful song his elect.
44 और उसने उनको क़ौमों के मुल्क दिए, और उन्होंने उम्मतों की मेहनत के फल पर कब्ज़ा किया।
And he gave them the lands of nations; and the labor of people they obtained as an inheritance:
45 ताकि वह उसके क़ानून पर चलें, और उसकी शरी'अत को मानें। ख़ुदावन्द की हम्द करो!
So that they might observe his statutes, and keep his laws. Hallelujah.
