मत्ती 18
1 उस वक़्त शागिर्द ईसा के पास आ कर कहने लगे, “पस आस्मान की बादशाही में बड़ा कौन है?”
At that time the disciples came to Jesus inquiring, Who shall be the greatest in the Reign of Heaven?
2 उसने एक बच्चे को पास बुलाकर उसे उनके बीच में खड़ा किया।
Jesus calling to him a child, placed him in the midst of them,
3 और कहा, “मैं तुम से सच कहता हूँ कि अगर तुम तौबा न करो और बच्चों की तरह न बनो तो आस्मान की बादशाही में हरगिज़ दाख़िल न होगे।
and said, Indeed, I say to you, unless you be changed, and become as children, you shall never enter the kingdom of heaven.
4 पस जो कोई अपने आपको इस बच्चे की तरह छोटा बनाएगा; वही आसमान की बादशाही में बड़ा होगा।
Whosoever, therefore, shall become humble like this child.
5 और जो कोई ऐसे बच्चे को मेरे नाम पर क़ुबूल करता है; वो मुझे क़ुबूल करता है।”
Nay, whosoever receives one such child, in my name, receives me:
6 “लेकिन जो कोई इन छोटों में से जो मुझ पर ईमान लाए हैं; किसी को ठोकर खिलाता है उसके लिए ये बेहतर है कि बड़ी चक्की का पाट उसके गले में लटकाया जाए और वो गहरे समुन्दर में डुबो दिया जाए।
but whosoever shall ensnare any of these little ones, who believe in me, it were better for him that an upper millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were sunk in the ocean.
7 ठोकरों की वजह से दुनिया पर अफ़्सोस है; क्यूँकि ठोकरों का होना ज़रूर है; लेकिन उस आदमी पर अफ़्सोस है; जिसकी वजह से ठोकर लगे।”
Alas for the world because of snares! Snares indeed there must be; nevertheless, alas for the ensnarer!
8 “पस अगर तेरा हाथ या तेरा पाँव तुझे ठोकर खिलाए तो उसे काट कर अपने पास से फेंक दे; टुंडा या लंगड़ा होकर ज़िन्दगी में दाख़िल होना तेरे लिए इससे बेहतर है; कि दो हाथ या दो पाँव रखता हुआ तू हमेशा की आग में डाला जाए। (aiōnios g166)
Wherefore, if your hand or foot ensnare you, cut it off and throw it away; it is better for you to enter lame or maimed into life, than having two hands or feet to be cast into the everlasting fire. (aiōnios g166)
9 और अगर तेरी आँख तुझे ठोकर खिलाए तो उसे निकाल कर अपने से फेंक दे; काना हो कर ज़िन्दगी में दाख़िल होना तेरे लिए इससे बेहतर है कि दो आँखें रखता हुआ तू जहन्नुम कि आग में डाला जाए।” (Geenna g1067)
And if your eye ensnare you, pluck it out and throw it away; it is better for you to enter one-eyed into life, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire. (Geenna g1067)
10 “ख़बरदार! इन छोटों में से किसी को नाचीज़ न जानना। क्यूँकि मैं तुम से कहता हूँ; कि आसमान पर उनके फ़रिश्ते मेरे आसमानी बाप का मुँह हर वक़्त देखते हैं।
Beware of contemning any of these little ones; for I assure you, that in heaven, their angels continually behold the face of my heavenly Father:
11 क्यूँकि इब्न — ए — आदम खोए हुओं को ढूँडने और नजात देने आया है।”
and the Son of Man is come to recover the lost.
12 “तुम क्या समझते हो? अगर किसी आदमी की सौ भेड़ें हों और उन में से एक भटक जाए; तो क्या वो निनानवें को छोड़कर और पहाड़ों पर जाकर उस भटकी हुई को न ढूँडेगा?
What think you? If a man have a hundred sheep, and one of them has strayed, will he not leave the ninety-nine upon the mountains, and go in quest of the stray?
13 और अगर ऐसा हो कि उसे पाए; तो मैं तुम से सच कहता हूँ; कि वो उन निनानवें से जो भटकी हुई नहीं इस भेड़ की ज़्यादा ख़ुशी करेगा।
And if he happens to find it, indeed, I say to you, he derives greater joy from it, than from the ninety-nine which went not astray.
14 इस तरह तुम्हारा आसमानी बाप ये नहीं चाहता कि इन छोटों में से एक भी हलाक हो।”
Thus it is not the will of your Father in heaven, that any of these little ones should be lost.
15 “अगर तेरा भाई तेरा गुनाह करे तो जा और अकेले में बात चीत करके उसे समझा; और अगर वो तेरी सुने तो तूने अपने भाई को पा लिया।
Wherefore, if your brother trespass against you, go and expostulate with him, when you and he are alone together. If he hear you, you have gained your brother;
16 और अगर न सुने, तो एक दो आदमियों को अपने साथ ले जा, ताकि हर एक बात दो तीन गवाहों की ज़बान से साबित हो जाए।
but if he will not hear, take one or two along with you, that by the testimony of two or three witnesses everything may be ascertained.
17 और अगर वो उनकी भी सुनने से इन्कार करे, तो कलीसिया से कह, और अगर कलीसिया की भी सुनने से इन्कार करे तो तू उसे ग़ैर क़ौम वाले और महसूल लेने वाले के बराबर जान।”
If he despises them, tell the congregation; and if he despise the congregation also, let him be to you as a pagan or a publican.
18 “मैं तुम से सच कहता हूँ; कि जो कुछ तुम ज़मीन पर बाँधोगे वो आसमान पर बँधेगा; और जो कुछ तुम ज़मीन पर खोलोगे; वो आसमान पर खुलेगा।
Indeed, I say to you, whatsoever you shall bind on the earth, shall be bound in heaven; and whatsoever you shall loose on earth, shall be loosed in heaven.
19 फिर मैं तुम से कहता हूँ; कि अगर तुम में से दो शख़्स ज़मीन पर किसी बात के लिए जिसे वो चाहते हों इत्तफ़ाक़ करें तो वो मेरे बाप की तरफ़ से जो आसमान पर है, उनके लिए हो जाएगी।
Again, I say to you, whatever two of you upon the earth shall agree to ask, shall be granted them by my Father, who is in heaven.
20 क्यूँकि जहाँ दो या तीन मेरे नाम से इकट्ठे हैं, वहाँ मैं उनके बीच में हूँ।”
For wherever two or three are assembled in my name, I am in the midst of them.
21 उस वक़्त पतरस ने पास आकर उससे कहा “ऐ ख़ुदावन्द, अगर मेरा भाई मेरा गुनाह करता रहे, तो मैं कितनी मर्तबा उसे मु'आफ़ करूँ? क्या सात बार तक?”
Then Peter approaching, said to him, Master, if my brother repeatedly trespass against me, how often must I forgive him? must I seven times?
22 ईसा ने उससे कहा, “मैं तुझ से ये नहीं कहता कि सात बार, बल्कि सात दफ़ा के सत्तर बार तक।”
Jesus answered, I say to you, not seven times, but seventy times seven times.
23 “पस आसमान की बादशाही उस बादशाह की तरह है जिसने अपने नौकरों से हिसाब लेना चाहा।
In this the Administration of Heaven resembles a king, who determined to settle accounts with his servants.
24 और जब हिसाब लेने लगा तो उसके सामने एक क़र्ज़दार हाज़िर किया गया; जिस पर उसके दस हज़ार चाँदी के सिक्के आते थे।
Having begun to reckon, one was brought, who owed him ten thousand talents.
25 मगर चूँकि उसके पास अदा करने को कुछ न था; इसलिए उसके मालिक ने हुक्म दिया कि, ये और इसकी बीवी और बच्चे और जो कुछ इसका है सब बेचा जाए और क़र्ज़ वसूल कर लिया जाए।
But that servant not having the means to pay; his master, to obtain payment, commanded that he, and his wife and children, and all that he had should be sold.
26 पस नौकर ने गिरकर उसे सज्दा किया और कहा, ‘ऐ ख़ुदावन्द मुझे मोहलत दे, मैं तेरा सारा क़र्ज़ा अदा करूँगा।’
Then the servant, throwing himself prostrate before his master, cried, Have patience with me, my lord, and I will pay the whole.
27 उस नौकर के मालिक ने तरस खाकर उसे छोड़ दिया, और उसका क़र्ज़ बख़्श दिया।”
And his master had compassion upon him, and dismissed him, remitting the debt.
28 “जब वो नौकर बाहर निकला तो उसके हम ख़िदमतों में से एक उसको मिला जिस पर उसके सौ चाँदी के सिक्के आते थे। उसने उसको पकड़ कर उसका गला घोंटा और कहा, ‘जो मेरा आता है अदा कर दे!’
But this servant, as he went out, meeting one of his fellow-servants, who owed him a hundred denarii, seized him by the throat, saying, Pay me what you owe.
29 पस उसके हमख़िदमत ने उसके सामने गिरकर मिन्नत की और कहा, मुझे मोहलत दे; मैं तुझे अदा कर दूँगा।
His fellow-servant, falling down, besought him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay you.
30 उसने न माना; बल्कि जाकर उसे क़ैदख़ाने में डाल दिया; कि जब तक क़र्ज़ अदा न कर दे क़ैद रहे।
And he would not, but instantly caused him to be imprisoned, until he should discharge the debt.
31 पस उसके हमख़िदमत ये हाल देखकर बहुत ग़मगीन हुए; और आकर अपने मालिक को सब कुछ जो हुआ था; सुना दिया।
His fellow-servants seeing this, were deeply affected, and went, and informed their master of all that had passed.
32 इस पर उसके मालिक ने उसको पास बुला कर उससे कहा, ‘ऐ शरीर नौकर; मैं ने वो सारा क़र्ज़ तुझे इसलिए मु'आफ़ कर दिया; कि तूने मेरी मिन्नत की थी।
Then his master, having given orders to call him, said to him, You wicked servant: all that debt I forgave you, because you besought me.
33 क्या तुझे ज़रूरी न था, कि जैसे मैं ने तुझ पर रहम किया; तू भी अपने हमख़िदमत पर रहम करता?’
Ought not you to have shown such pity to your fellow-servant, as I showed to you?
34 उसके मालिक ने ख़फ़ा होकर उसको जल्लादों के हवाले किया; कि जब तक तमाम क़र्ज़ अदा न कर दे क़ैद रहे।”
So his master, being provoked, delivered him to the jailors, to remain in their hands until he should clear the debt.
35 “मेरा आसमानी बाप भी तुम्हारे साथ इसी तरह करेगा; अगर तुम में से हर एक अपने भाई को दिल से मु'आफ़ न करे।”
Thus will my heavenly Father treat every one of you, who forgives not, from his heart, his brother.
