मरकुस 2
1 कई दिन बाद जब 'ईसा कफ़रनहूम में फिर दाख़िल हुआ तो सुना गया कि वो घर में है।
Some days later, when Jesus came back to Capernaum, the news spread that he was in a house there;
2 फिर इतने आदमी जमा हो गए, कि दरवाज़े के पास भी जगह न रही और वो उनको कलाम सुना रहा था।
and so many people collected together, that after a while there was no room for them even round the door; and he began to tell them his Message.
3 और लोग एक फ़ालिज के मारे हुए को चार आदमियों से उठवा कर उस के पास लाए।
And some people came, bringing to him a paralysed man, who was being carried by four bearers.
4 मगर जब वो भीड़ की वजह से उसके नज़दीक न आ सके तो उन्होंने उस छत को जहाँ वो था, खोल दिया और उसे उधेड़ कर उस चारपाई को जिस पर फ़ालिज का मारा हुआ लेटा था, लटका दिया।
Being, however, unable to get him near to Jesus, owing to the crowd, they removed the roofing below which Jesus was; and, when they had made an opening, they let down the mat on which the paralysed man was lying.
5 ईसा' ने उन लोगों का ईमान देख कर फ़ालिज के मारे हुए से कहा, “बेटा, तेरे गुनाह मुआफ़ हुए।”
When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the man: “Child, your sins are forgiven.”
6 मगर वहाँ कुछ आलिम जो बैठे थे, वो अपने दिलों में सोचने लगे।
But some of the Teachers of the Law who were sitting there were debating in their minds:
7 “ये क्यूँ ऐसा कहता है? कुफ़्र बकता है, ख़ुदा के सिवा गुनाह कौन मु'आफ़ कर सकता है।”
“Why does this man speak like this? He is blaspheming! Who can forgive sins except God?”
8 और फ़ौरन ईसा' ने अपनी रूह में मा'लूम करके कि वो अपने दिलों में यूँ सोचते हैं उनसे कहा, “तुम क्यूँ अपने दिलों में ये बातें सोचते हो?
Jesus, at once intuitively aware that they were debating with themselves in this way, said to them: “Why are you debating in your minds about this?
9 आसान क्या है’ फ़ालिज के मारे हुए से ये कहना कि तेरे गुनाह मु'आफ़ हुए, या ये कहना कि उठ और अपनी चारपाई उठा कर चल फिर।
Which is easier? — to say to the paralysed man, ‘Your sins are forgiven’? or to say ‘Get up, and take up your mat, and walk about’?
10 लेकिन इस लिए कि तुम जानों कि इब्न — ए आदम को ज़मीन पर गुनाह मु'आफ़ करने का इख़्तियार है” (उसने उस फ़ालिज के मारे हुए से कहा)।
But that you may know that the Son of Man has power to forgive sins on earth” — here he said to the paralysed man —
11 “मैं तुम से कहता हूँ उठ अपनी चारपाई उठाकर अपने घर चला जा।”
“To you I say, Get up, take up your mat, and return to your home.”
12 और वो उठा; फ़ौरन अपनी चारपाई उठाकर उन सब के सामने बाहर चला गया, चुनाँचे वो सब हैरान हो गए, और ख़ुदा की तम्जीद करके कहने लगे “हम ने ऐसा कभी नहीं देखा था!”
The man got up, and immediately took up his mat, and went out before them all; at which they were amazed, and, as they praised God, they said: “We have never seen anything like this!”
13 वो फिर बाहर झील के किनारे गया, और सारी भीड़ उसके पास आई और वो उनको ता'लीम देने लगा।
Jesus went out again to the Sea; and all the people came to him, and he taught them.
14 जब वो जा रहा था, तो उसने हलफ़ी के बेटे लावी को महसूल की चौकी पर बैठे देखा, और उस से कहा “मेरे पीछे हो ले।” पस वो उठ कर उस के पीछे हो लिया।
As he went along, he saw Levi, the son of Alphaeus, sitting in the tax-office, and said to him: “Follow me.” Levi got up and followed him.
15 और यूँ हुआ कि वो उस के घर में खाना खाने बैठा। बहुत से महसूल लेने वाले और गुनाहगार लोग ईसा और उसके शागिर्दों के साथ खाने बैठे, क्यूँकि वो बहुत थे, और उसके पीछे हो लिए थे।
And later on he was in his house at table, and a number of tax-gatherers and outcasts took their places at table with Jesus and his disciples; for many of them were following him.
16 फ़रीसियों ने फ़क़ीहों ने उसे गुनाहगारों और महसूल लेने वालों के साथ खाते देखकर उसके शागिर्दों से कहा, “ये तो महसूल लेने वालों और गुनाहगारों के साथ खाता पीता है।”
When the Teachers of the Law belonging to the party of the Pharisees saw that he was eating in the company of such people, they said to his disciples: “He is eating in the company of tax-gatherers and outcasts!”
17 ईसा' ने ये सुनकर उनसे कहा, “तन्दरुस्तों को हकीम की ज़रुरत नहीं बल्कि बीमारों को; में रास्तबाज़ों को नहीं बल्कि गुनाहगारों को बुलाने आया हूँ।”
Hearing this, Jesus said: “It is not those who are in health that need a doctor, but those who are ill. I did not come to call the religious, but the outcast.”
18 और यूहन्ना के शागिर्द और फ़रीसी रोज़े से थे, उन्होंने आकर उस से कहा, “यूहन्ना के शागिर्द और फ़रीसियों के शागिर्द तो रोज़ा रखते हैं? लेकिन तेरे शागिर्द क्यूँ रोज़ा नहीं रखते।”
Now John’s disciples and the Pharisees were keeping a fast, and people came and asked Jesus: “Why is it that John’s disciples and the disciples of the Pharisees fast, while yours do not?”
19 ईसा' ने उनसे कहा “क्या बाराती जब तक दुल्हा उनके साथ है रोज़ा रख सकते हैं? जिस वक़्त तक दुल्हा उनके साथ है वो रोज़ा नहीं रख सकते।
Jesus answered: “Can the bridegroom’s friends fast, while the bridegroom is with them? As long as they have the bridegroom with them, they cannot fast.
20 मगर वो दिन आएँगे कि दुल्हा उनसे जुदा किया जाएगा, उस वक़्त वो रोज़ा रखेंगे।
But the days will come, when the bridegroom will be parted from them, and they will fast then — when that day comes.
21 कोरे कपड़े का पैवन्द पुरानी पोशाक पर कोई नहीं लगाता नहीं तो वो पैवन्द उस पोशाक में से कुछ खींच लेगा, या'नी नया पुरानी से और वो ज़ियादा फट जाएगी।
“No man ever sews a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment; if he does, the patch tears away from it — the new from the old — and a worse rent is made.
22 और नई मय को पुरानी मश्कों में कोई नहीं भरता नहीं तो मश्कें मय से फट जाएँगी और मय और मश्कें दोनों बरबाद हो जाएँगी बल्कि नई मय को नई मश्कों में भरते हैं।”
And no man ever puts new wine into old wine-skins; if he does, the wine will burst the skins, and both the wine and the skins are lost. But new wine is put into fresh skins.”
23 और यूँ हुआ कि वो सबत के दिन खेतों में से होकर जा रहा था, और उसके शागिर्द राह में चलते होए बालें तोड़ने लगे।
One Sabbath, as Jesus was walking through the cornfields, his disciples began to pick the ears of wheat as they went along.
24 और फ़रीसियों ने उस से कहा “देख ये सबत के दिन वो काम क्यूँ करते हैं जो जाएज़ नहीं।”
“Look!” the Pharisees said to him, “why are they doing what is not allowed on the Sabbath?”
25 उसने उनसे कहा, “क्या तुम ने कभी नहीं पढ़ा कि दाऊद ने क्या किया जब उस को और उस के साथियों को ज़रूरत हुई और वो भूखे हुए?
“Have you never read,” answered Jesus, “what David did when he was in want and hungry, he and his companions —
26 वो क्यूँकर अबियातर सरदार काहिन के दिनों में ख़ुदा के घर में गया, और उस ने नज़्र की रोटियाँ खाईं जिनको खाना काहिनों के सिवा और किसी को जाएज़ नहीं था और अपने साथियों को भी दीं”?
How he went into the House of God, in the time of Abiathar the High Priest, and ate ‘the consecrated bread,’ which only the priests are allowed to eat, and gave some to his comrades as well?”
27 और उसने उनसे कहा “सबत आदमी के लिए बना है न आदमी सबत के लिए।
Then Jesus added: “The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath;
28 इस लिए इब्न — ए — आदम सबत का भी मालिक है।”
so the Son of Man is lord even of the Sabbath.”
