लूका 6
1 फिर सबत के दिन यूँ हुआ कि वो खेतों में से होकर जा रहा था, और उसके शागिर्द बालें तोड़ — तोड़ कर और हाथों से मल — मलकर खाते जाते थे।
And it came to pass on the second sabbath after the first, that he went through the corn fields; and his disciples plucked the ears of corn, and did eat, rubbing [them] in [their] hands.
2 और फ़रीसियों में से कुछ लोग कहने लगे, “तुम वो काम क्यूँ करते हो जो सबत के दिन करना ठीक नहीं।”
And certain of the Pharisees said unto them, Why do ye that which is not lawful to do on the sabbath days?
3 ईसा ने जवाब में उनसे कहा, “क्या तुम ने ये भी नहीं पढ़ा कि जब दाऊद और उसके साथी भूखे थे तो उसने क्या किया?
And Jesus answering them said, Have ye not read so much as this, what David did, when himself was an hungred, and they which were with him;
4 वो क्यूँकर ख़ुदा के घर में गया, और नज़्र की रोटियाँ लेकर खाई जिनको खाना काहिनों के सिवा और किसी को ठीक नहीं, और अपने साथियों को भी दीं।”
How he went into the house of God, and did take and eat the shewbread, and gave also to them that were with him; which it is not lawful to eat but for the priests alone?
5 फिर उसने उनसे कहा, “इब्न — ए — आदम सबत का मालिक है।”
And he said unto them, That the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.
6 और यूँ हुआ कि किसी और सबत को वो 'इबादतख़ाने में दाख़िल होकर ता'लीम देने लगा। वहाँ एक आदमी था जिसका दाहिना हाथ सूख गया था।
And it came to pass also on another sabbath, that he entered into the synagogue and taught: and there was a man whose right hand was withered.
7 और आलिम और फ़रीसी उसकी ताक में थे, कि आया सबत के दिन अच्छा करता है या नहीं, ताकि उस पर इल्ज़ाम लगाने का मौक़ा' पाएँ।
And the scribes and Pharisees watched him, whether he would heal on the sabbath day; that they might find an accusation against him.
8 मगर उसको उनके ख़याल मा'लूम थे; पस उसने उस आदमी से जिसका हाथ सूखा था कहा, “उठ, और बीच में खड़ा हो!“
But he knew their thoughts, and said to the man which had the withered hand, Rise up, and stand forth in the midst. And he arose and stood forth.
9 ईसा ने उनसे कहा, “मैं तुम से ये पूछता हूँ कि आया सबत के दिन नेकी करना ठीक है या बदी करना? जान बचाना या हलाक करना?”
Then said Jesus unto them, I will ask you one thing; Is it lawful on the sabbath days to do good, or to do evil? to save life, or to destroy [it]?
10 और उन सब पर नज़र करके उससे कहा, “अपना हाथ बढ़ा!” उसने बढ़ाया और उसका हाथ दुरुस्त हो गया।
And looking round about upon them all, he said unto the man, Stretch forth thy hand. And he did so: and his hand was restored whole as the other.
11 वो आपे से बाहर होकर एक दूसरे से कहने लगे कि हम ईसा के साथ क्या करें।
And they were filled with madness; and communed one with another what they might do to Jesus.
12 और उन दिनों में ऐसा हुआ कि वो पहाड़ पर दुआ करने को निकला और ख़ुदा से दुआ करने में सारी रात गुज़ारी।
And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.
13 जब दिन हुआ तो उसने अपने शागिर्दों को पास बुलाकर उनमें से बारह चुन लिए और उनको रसूल का लक़ब दिया:
And when it was day, he called [unto him] his disciples: and of them he chose twelve, whom also he named apostles;
14 या'नी शमौन जिसका नाम उसने पतरस भी रख्खा, और अन्द्रियास, और या'क़ूब, और यूहन्ना, और फ़िलिप्पुस, और बरतुल्माई,
Simon, (whom he also named Peter, ) and Andrew his brother, James and John, Philip and Bartholomew,
15 और मत्ती, और तोमा, और हलफ़ी का बेटा या'क़ूब, और शमौन जो ज़ेलोतेस कहलाता था,
Matthew and Thomas, James the [son] of Alphæus, and Simon called Zelotes,
16 और या'क़ूब का बेटा यहुदाह, और यहुदाह इस्करियोती जो उसका पकड़वाने वाला हुआ।
And Judas [the brother] of James, and Judas Iscariot, which also was the traitor.
17 और वो उनके साथ उतर कर हमवार जगह पर खड़ा हुआ, और उसके शागिर्दों की बड़ी जमा'अत और लोगों की बड़ी भीड़ वहाँ थी, जो सारे यहुदिया और येरूशलेम और सूर और सैदा के बहरी किनारे से उसकी सुनने और अपनी बीमारियों से शिफ़ा पाने के लिए उसके पास आई थी।
And he came down with them, and stood in the plain, and the company of his disciples, and a great multitude of people out of all Judæa and Jerusalem, and from the sea coast of Tyre and Sidon, which came to hear him, and to be healed of their diseases;
18 और जो बदरूहों से दुःख पाते थे वो अच्छे किए गए।
And they that were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed.
19 और सब लोग उसे छूने की कोशिश करते थे, क्यूँकि क़ूव्वत उससे निकलती और सब को शिफ़ा बख़्शती थी।
And the whole multitude sought to touch him: for there went virtue out of him, and healed [them] all.
20 फिर उसने अपने शागिर्दों की तरफ़ नज़र करके कहा, “मुबारिक़ हो तुम जो ग़रीब हो, क्यूँकि ख़ुदा की बादशाही तुम्हारी है।”
And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed [be ye] poor: for yours is the kingdom of God.
21 “मुबारिक़ हो तुम जो अब भूखे हो, क्यूँकि आसूदा होगे “मुबारिक़ हो तुम जो अब रोते हो, क्यूँकि हँसोगे
Blessed [are ye] that hunger now: for ye shall be filled. Blessed [are ye] that weep now: for ye shall laugh.
22 “जब इब्न — ए — आदम की वजह से लोग तुम से 'दुश्मनी रख्खेंगे, और तुम्हें निकाल देंगे, और ला'न — ता'न करेंगे।”
Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you [from their company], and shall reproach [you], and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man’s sake.
23 “उस दिन ख़ुश होना और ख़ुशी के मारे उछलना, इसलिए कि देखो आसमान पर तुम्हारा अज्र बड़ा है; क्यूँकि उनके बाप — दादा नबियों के साथ भी ऐसा ही किया करते थे।
Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward [is] great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.
24 “मगर अफ़सोस तुम पर जो दौलतमन्द हो, क्यूँकि तुम अपनी तसल्ली पा चुके।
But woe unto you that are rich! for ye have received your consolation.
25 “अफ़सोस तुम पर जो अब सेर हो, क्यूँकि भूखे होगे। “अफ़सोस तुम पर जो अब हँसते हो, क्यूँकि मातम करोगे और रोओगे।
Woe unto you that are full! for ye shall hunger. Woe unto you that laugh now! for ye shall mourn and weep.
26 “अफ़सोस तुम पर जब सब लोग तुम्हें अच्छा कहें, क्यूँकि उनके बाप — दादा झूठे नबियों के साथ भी ऐसा ही किया करते थे।”
Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.
27 “लेकिन मैं सुनने वालों से कहता हूँ कि अपने दुश्मनों से मुहब्बत रख्खो, जो तुम से 'दुश्मनी रख्खें उसके साथ नेकी करो।
But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you,
28 जो तुम पर ला'नत करें उनके लिए बर्क़त चाहो, जो तुमसे नफ़रत करें उनके लिए दुआ करो।
Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.
29 जो तेरे एक गाल पर तमाचा मारे दूसरा भी उसकी तरफ़ फेर दे, और जो तेरा चोग़ा ले उसको कुरता लेने से भी मनह' न कर।
And unto him that smiteth thee on the [one] cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloke forbid not [to take thy] coat also.
30 जो कोई तुझ से माँगे उसे दे, और जो तेरा माल ले ले उससे तलब न कर।
Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask [them] not again.
31 और जैसा तुम चाहते हो कि लोग तुम्हारे साथ करें, तुम भी उनके साथ वैसा ही करो।”
And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.
32 “अगर तुम अपने मुहब्बत रखनेवालों ही से मुहब्बत रख्खो, तो तुम्हारा क्या अहसान है? क्यूँकि गुनाहगार भी अपने मुहब्बत रखनेवालों से मुहब्बत रखते हैं।
For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them.
33 और अगर तुम उन ही का भला करो जो तुम्हारा भला करें, तो तुम्हारा क्या अहसान है? क्यूँकि गुनहगार भी ऐसा ही करते हैं।
And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same.
34 और अगर तुम उन्हीं को क़र्ज़ दो जिनसे वसूल होने की उम्मीद रखते हो, तो तुम्हारा क्या अहसान है? गुनहगार भी गुनहगारों को क़र्ज़ देते हैं ताकि पूरा वसूल कर लें
And if ye lend [to them] of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again.
35 मगर तुम अपने दुश्मनों से मुहब्बत रख्खो, और नेकी करो, और बग़ैर न उम्मीद हुए क़र्ज़ दो तो तुम्हारा अज्र बड़ा होगा और तुम ख़ुदा के बेटे ठहरोगे, क्यूँकि वो न — शुक्रों और बदों पर भी महरबान है।
But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and [to] the evil.
36 जैसा तुम्हारा आसमानी बाप रहीम है तुम भी रहम दिल हो।”
Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.
37 “'ऐबजोई ना करो, तुम्हारी भी 'ऐबजोई न की जाएगी। मुजरिम न ठहराओ, तुम भी मुजरिम ना ठहराए जाओगे। इज्ज़त दो, तुम भी इज्ज़त पाओगे।
Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:
38 दिया करो, तुम्हें भी दिया जाएगा। अच्छा पैमाना दाब — दाब कर और हिला — हिला कर और लबरेज़ करके तुम्हारे पल्ले में डालेंगे, क्यूँकि जिस पैमाने से तुम नापते हो उसी से तुम्हारे लिए नापा जाएगा।“
Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
39 “और उसने उनसे एक मिसाल भी दी “क्या अंधे को अंधा राह दिखा सकता है? क्या दोनों गड्ढे में न गिरेंगे?”
And he spake a parable unto them, Can the blind lead the blind? shall they not both fall into the ditch?
40 शागिर्द अपने उस्ताद से बड़ा नहीं, बल्कि हर एक जब कामिल हुआ तो अपने उस्ताद जैसा होगा।
The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master.
41 तू क्यूँ अपने भाई की आँख के तिनके को देखता है, और अपनी आँख के शहतीर पर ग़ौर नहीं करता?
And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but perceivest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
42 और जब तू अपनी आँख के शहतीर को नहीं देखता तो अपने भाई से क्यूँकर कह सकता है, कि भाई ला उस तिनके को जो तेरी आँख में है निकाल दूँ? ऐ रियाकार। पहले अपनी आँख में से तो शहतीर निकाल, फिर उस तिनके को जो तेरे भाई की आँख में है अच्छी तरह देखकर निकाल सकेगा।
Either how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me pull out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother’s eye.
43 “क्यूँकि कोई अच्छा दरख़्त नहीं जो बुरा फल लाए, और न कोई बुरा दरख़्त है जो अच्छा फल लाए।”
For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
44 हर दरख़्त अपने फल से पहचाना जाता है, क्यूँकि झाड़ियों से अंजीर नहीं तोड़ते और न झड़बेरी से अंगूर।
For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes.
45 “अच्छा आदमी अपने दिल के अच्छे ख़ज़ाने से अच्छी चीज़ें निकालता है, और बुरा आदमी बुरे ख़ज़ाने से बुरी चीज़ें निकालता है; क्यूँकि जो दिल में भरा है वही उसके मुँह पर आता है।”
A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.
46 “जब तुम मेरे कहने पर 'अमल नहीं करते तो क्यूँ मुझे 'ख़ुदावन्द, ख़ुदावन्द' कहते हो।
And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?
47 जो कोई मेरे पास आता और मेरी बातें सुनकर उन पर 'अमल करता है, मैं तुम्हें बताता हूँ कि वो किसकी तरह है।
Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like:
48 वो उस आदमी की तरह है जिसने घर बनाते वक़्त ज़मीन गहरी खोदकर चट्टान पर बुनियाद डाली, जब तूफ़ान आया और सैलाब उस घर से टकराया, तो उसे हिला न सका क्यूँकि वो मज़बूत बना हुआ था।
He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.
49 लेकिन जो सुनकर 'अमल में नहीं लाता वो उस आदमी की तरह है जिसने ज़मीन पर घर को बे — बुनियाद बनाया, जब सैलाब उस पर ज़ोर से आया तो वो फ़ौरन गिर पड़ा और वो घर बिल्कुल बरबाद हुआ।”
But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.
