लूका 4
1 फिर ईसा रूह — उल — क़ुद्दूस से भरा हुआ यरदन से लौटा, और चालीस दिन तक रूह की हिदायत से वीराने में फिरता रहा;
Then Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, came back from the Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the desert for forty days, all the time tempted by the devil.
2 और शैतान उसे आज़माता रहा। उन दिनों में उसने कुछ न खाया, जब वो दिन पुरे हो गए तो उसे भूख लगी।
He ate nothing during these days, and at the close of them he was hungry.
3 और शैतान ने उससे कहा, “अगर तू ख़ुदा का बेटा है तो इस पत्थर से कह कि रोटी बन जाए।”
The devil said to him, "If you are the Son of God tell this stone to become bread."
4 ईसा ने उसको जवाब दिया, “कलाम में लिखा है कि, आदमी सिर्फ़ रोटी ही से जीता न रहेगा।”
And Jesus answered him, saying, "It is written that not by bread alone shall man live."
5 और शैतान ने उसे ऊँचे पर ले जाकर दुनिया की सब सल्तनतें पल भर में दिखाईं।
And the devil led him up and showed him all the kingdoms of the inhabited earth in an instant of time, and the devil said to him.
6 और उससे कहा, “ये सारा इख़्तियार और उनकी शान — ओ — शौकत मैं तुझे दे दूँगा, क्यूँकि ये मेरे सुपुर्द है और जिसको चाहता हूँ देता हूँ।
"To you will I give all this authority and this glory; for it has been handed over to me, and I give it to whomever I wish.
7 पस अगर तू मेरे आगे सज्दा करे, तो ये सब तेरा होगा।”
"If then you will worship me, it shall all be yours."
8 ईसा ने जवाब में उससे कहा, “लिखा है कि, तू ख़ुदावन्द अपने ख़ुदा को सिज्दा कर और सिर्फ़ उसकी इबादत कर।”
"It is written," answered Jesus, "Thou shalt worship the Lord, thy God, and him only shalt thou serve."
9 और वो उसे येरूशलेम में ले गया और हैकल के कंगूरे पर खड़ा करके उससे कहा, अगर तू ख़ुदा का बेटा है तो अपने आपको यहाँ से नीचे गिरा दे।
Then he brought him to Jerusalem, and caused him to stand upon the Temple roof, and said to him. "If you really are the Son of God throw yourself down here;
10 क्यूँकि लिखा है कि, वो तेरे बारे में अपने फ़रिश्तों को हुक्म देगा कि तेरी हिफ़ाज़त करें।
for it is written, "He shall give his angels charge of thee, to guard thee safely;
11 और ये भी कि वो तुझे हाथों पर उठा लेंगे, क़ाश की तेरे पाँव को पत्थर से ठेस लगे।
"They will bear thee up in their hands, Lest thou dash thy food against a stone."
12 ईसा ने जवाब में उससे कहा, “फ़रमाया गया है कि, तू ख़ुदावन्द अपने ख़ुदा की आज़माइश न कर।”
"It has been said," replied Jesus, "Thou shalt not tempt the Lord, thy God."
13 जब इब्लीस तमाम आज़माइशें कर चूका तो कुछ अर्से के लिए उससे जुदा हुआ।
So, after exhausting on him every kind of temptation, the devil left him for a time.
14 फिर ईसा पाक रूह की क़ुव्वत से भरा हुआ गलील को लौटा और आसपास में उसकी शोहरत फैल गई।
Then Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee, and his fame spread throughout all the surrounding country,
15 और वो उनके 'इबादतख़ानों में ता'लीम देता रहा और सब उसकी बड़ाई करते रहे।
and he began to teach in their synagogues, and was glorified by all.
16 और वो नासरत में आया जहाँ उसने परवरिश पाई थी और अपने दस्तूर के मुवाफ़िक़ सबत के दिन 'इबादतख़ाने में गया और पढ़ने को खड़ा हुआ।
Then he came to Nazareth where he had been brought up. and, as was his custom, he entered into the synagogue on the Sabbath Day, and stood up to read.
17 और यसायाह नबी की किताब उसको दी गई, और किताब खोलकर उसने वो वर्क़ा खोला जहाँ ये लिखा था:
And there was handed him the roll of the prophet Isaiah; and unrolling it he found the place where it was written,
18 “ख़ुदावन्द का रूह मुझ पर है, इसलिए कि उसने मुझे ग़रीबों को ख़ुशख़बरी देने के लिए मसह किया; उसने मुझे भेजा है क़ैदियों को रिहाई और अन्धों को बीनाई पाने की ख़बर सूनाऊँ, कुचले हुओं को आज़ाद करूँ।
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me Because He has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor, He has sent me to proclaim release to the prisoners, And recovery of sight to the blind; To set at liberty those that are bruised,
19 और ख़ुदावन्द के साल — ए — मक़बूल का ऐलान करूँ।”
To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.
20 फिर वो किताब बन्द करके और ख़ादिम को वापस देकर बैठ गया; जितने 'इबादतख़ाने में थे सबकी आँखें उस पर लगी थीं।
Then rolling up the papyrus, he gave it back to the attendant and sat down.
21 वो उनसे कहने लगा, “आज ये लिखा हुआ तुम्हारे सामने पूरा हुआ।”
The eyes of all in the synagogue were fixed on him, and he began to say to them, "Today is this scripture fulfilled in your hearing."
22 और सबने उस पर गवाही दी और उन पुर फ़ज़ल बातों पर जो उसके मुँह से निकली थी, ता'ज्जुब करके कहने लगे, “क्या ये यूसुफ़ का बेटा नहीं?”
And they all spoke well of him, and marveled at the words of charm that fell from his lips. "Is not this the son of Joseph?" they asked.
23 उसने उनसे कहा “तुम अलबत्ता ये मिसाल मुझ पर कहोगे कि, 'ऐ हकीम, अपने आप को तो अच्छा कर! जो कुछ हम ने सुना है कि कफ़रनहूम में किया गया, यहाँ अपने वतन में भी कर'।”
Jesus answered. "Doubtless you will quote the proverb to me, "Physician, heal thyself! Do also here in your own country all that we hear that you have done in Capernaum."
24 और उसने कहा, “मैं तुम से सच कहता हूँ, कि कोई नबी अपने वतन में मक़बूल नहीं होता।
"I tell you in solemn truth," he added, "that no prophet is acceptable in his own country.
25 और मैं तुम से कहता हूँ, कि एलियाह के दिनों में जब साढ़े तीन बरस आसमान बन्द रहा, यहाँ तक कि सारे मुल्क में सख़्त काल पड़ा, बहुत सी बेवाएँ इस्राईल में थीं।
In very truth I tell you there were many widows in Israel in the days of Elijah, when the heavens were closed for three years and six months, when a great famine came over all the land;
26 लेकिन एलियाह उनमें से किसी के पास न भेजा गया, मगर मुल्क — ए — सैदा के शहर सारपत में एक बेवा के पास
"yet Elijah was not sent to any one of them, but only to a widow in Zarephath in Sidon.
27 और इलिशा नबी के वक़्त में इस्राईल के बीच बहुत से कौढ़ी थे, लेकिन उनमें से कोई पाक साफ़ न किया गया मगर ना'मान सूरयानी।”
"And there were many lepers in Israel in the days of the prophet Elisha, yet none of them was cleansed but only Naaman the Syrian."
28 जितने 'इबादतख़ाने में थे, इन बातों को सुनते ही ग़ुस्से से भर गए,
When they had heard these words, those in the synagogue were filled with fury;
29 और उठकर उस को बाहर निकाले और उस पहाड़ की चोटी पर ले गए जिस पर उनका शहर आबाद था, ताकि उसको सिर के बल गिरा दें।
they rose, hurried him outside the town, and brought him to the brow of the hill on which their city was built, intending to cast him down headlong.
30 मगर वो उनके बीच में से निकलकर चला गया।
But he, passing through the midst of them, took his departure.
31 फिर वो गलील के शहर कफ़रनहूम को गया और सबत के दिन उन्हें ता'लीम दे रहा था।
Then he went down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee, and continued to teach the people on the Sabbath Days.
32 और लोग उसकी ता'लीम से हैरान थे क्यूँकि उसका कलाम इख़्तियार के साथ था।
They were deeply impressed by his teaching because his speech was with authority.
33 इबादतख़ाने में एक आदमी था, जिसमें बदरूह थी। वो बड़ी आवाज़ से चिल्ला उठा कि,
And there was in the synagogue a man possessed by the spirit of a foul demon. He cried out, in a loud voice, saying.
34 “ऐ ईसा नासरी हमें तुझ से क्या काम? क्या तू हमें हलाक करने आया है? मैं तुझे जानता हूँ कि तू कौन है — ख़ुदा का क़ुद्दूस है।”
"Ha! Jesus of Nazareth, what business have you with us? Are you come to destroy us? I know you who you are, you holy one of God!"
35 ईसा ने उसे झिड़क कर कहा, “चुप रह और उसमें से निकल जा।” इस पर बदरूह उसे बीच में पटक कर बग़ैर नुक़्सान पहूँचाए उसमें से निकल गई।
And Jesus rebuked him, saying. "Be quiet! Come out of him." And when the demon had thrown the man down before them, he came out of him without doing him any harm.
36 और सब हैरान होकर आपस में कहने लगे, “ये कैसा कलाम है? क्यूँकि वो इख़्तियार और क़ुदरत से नापाक रूहों को हुक्म देता है और वो निकल जाती हैं।”
All were amazed, and began to ask one another, saying. "What is this word? For with authority and power he commands the unclean spirits and they come out."
37 और आस पास में हर जगह उसकी धूम मच गई।
And the talk about him spread into every locality in the surrounding country.
38 फिर वो 'इबादतख़ाने से उठकर शमौन के घर में दाख़िल हुआ और शमौन की सास जो बुख़ार में पड़ी हुई थी और उन्होंने उस के लिए उससे 'अर्ज़ की।
Now when he rose and left the synagogue, he entered into the house of Simon, where Simon’s mother-in-law lay sick of a great fever. And they kept entreating him for her.
39 वो खड़ा होकर उसकी तरफ़ झुका और बुख़ार को झिड़का तो वो उतर गया, वो उसी दम उठकर उनकी ख़िदमत करने लगी।
And he stood over her and rebuked the fever, and it left her; and at once she arose and ministered unto them.
40 और सूरज के डूबते वक़्त वो सब लोग जिनके यहाँ तरह — तरह की बीमारियों के मरीज़ थे, उन्हें उसके पास लाए और उसने उनमें से हर एक पर हाथ रख कर उन्हें अच्छा किया।
At sunset all they who had any sick with any sort of disease brought them to him; and he laid his hands on every one of them and healed them.
41 और बदरूहें भी चिल्लाकर और ये कहकर कि, “तू ख़ुदा का बेटा है” बहुतों में से निकल गई, और वो उन्हें झिड़कता और बोलने न देता था, क्यूँकि वो जानती थीं के ये मसीह है।
Demons also came out of many, screaming and saying, "You are the Son of God." But he rebuked them, and did not permit them to speak, because they knew that he was the Christ.
42 जब दिन हुआ तो वो निकल कर एक वीरान जगह में गया, और भीड़ की भीड़ उसको ढूँडती हुई उसके पास आई, और उसको रोकने लगी कि हमारे पास से न जा।
And when it was daybreak he left the town, and went away to a solitary place; and the crowd kept seeking him. Coming at length upon him, they attempted to detain him so that he should not leave them.
43 उसने उनसे कहा, “मुझे और शहरों में भी ख़ुदा की बादशाही की ख़ुशख़बरी सुनाना ज़रूर है, क्यूँकि मैं इसी लिए भेजा गया हूँ।”
But he said to them. "I must preach the gospel of the kingdom of God to the other towns also; for that is what I was sent to do."
44 और वो गलील के 'इबाद्तखानों में एलान करता रहा।
So he continued to preach in the synagogues of Galilee.
