यशो 17
1 और मनस्सी के क़बीले का हिस्सा पर्ची डालकर यह ठहरा। क्यूँकि वह यूसुफ़ का पहलौठा था, और चूँकि मनस्सी का पहलौठा बेटा मकीर जो जिल'आद का बाप था जंगी मर्द था इसलिए उस को जिल'आद और बसन मिले।
And the borders of the tribe of the children of Manasse, (for he [was] the firstborn of Joseph, ) [assigned] to Machir the firstborn of Manasse the father of Galaad, for he was a warrior, [were] in the land of Galaad and of Basan.
2 इसलिए यह हिस्सा बनी मनस्सी के बाक़ी लोगों के लिए उनके घरानों के मुताबिक़ था या'नी बनी अबी'अएज़र और बनी ख़लक़ और बनी इसरीएल और बनी सिकम और बनी हिफ़्र और बनी समीदा' के लिए, यूसुफ़ के बेटे मनस्सी के फ़र्ज़न्द — ए — नरीना अपने अपने घराने के मुताबिक़ यही थे।
And there was [land] assigned to the other sons of Manasse according to their families; to the sons of Jezi, and to the sons of Kelez, and to the sons of Jeziel, and to the sons of Sychem, and to the sons of Symarim, and to the sons of Opher: these [are] the males according to their families.
3 और सिलाफ़िहाद बिन हिफ्र बिन जिल'आद बिन मकीर बिन मनस्सी के बेटे नहीं बल्कि बेटियाँ थी और उसकी बेटियों के नाम यह हैं, महलाह और नू'आह और हुजला और मिलकाह और तिरज़ाह।
And Salpaad the sons of Opher had no sons but daughters: and these [are] the names of the daughters of Salpaad; Maala, and Nua, and Egla, and Melcha, and Thersa.
4 इसलिए वह इली'एलियाज़र काहिन और नून के बेटे यशू'अ और सरदारों के आगे आकर कहने लगीं कि ख़ुदावन्द ने मूसा को हुक्म दिया था कि वह हमको हमारे भाईयों के बीच मीरास दे चुनाँचे ख़ुदावन्द के हुक्म के मुताबिक़ उस ने उनके भाईयों के बीच उनको विरासत दी।
And they stood before Eleazar the priest, and before Joshua, and before the rulers, saying, God gave a charge by the hand of Moses, to give us an inheritance in the midst of our brethren: so there was given to them by the command of the Lord an inheritance amongst the brethren of their father.
5 इसलिए मनस्सी को जिल'आद और बसन के मुल्क को छोड़ कर जो यरदन के उस पार है दस हिस्से और मिले।
And their lot fell [to them] from Anassa, and [to the] plain of Labec of the land of Galaad, which is beyond Jordan.
6 क्यूँकि मनस्सी की बेटियों ने भी बेटों के साथ मीरास पाई और मनस्सी के बेटों को जिल'आद का मुल्क मिला।
For the daughters of the sons of Manasse inherited a portion in the midst of their brethren, and the land of Galaad was assigned to the remainder of the sons of Manasse.
7 और आशर से लेकर मिकमताह तक जो सिकम के मुक़ाबिल है मनस्सी की हद थी, और वही हद दहने हाथ पर, 'ऐन तफ़्फ़ूह के बाशिन्दों तक चली गयी।
And the borders of the sons of Manasse were Delanath, which is before the sons of Anath, and it proceeds to the borders [even] to Jamin and Jassib to the fountain of Thaphthoth.
8 यूँ तफ़ूह की ज़मीन तो मनस्सी की हुई लेकिन तफ़्फ़ूह शहर जो मनस्सी की सरहद पर था बनी इफ़्राईम का हिस्सा ठहरा,
It shall belong to Manasse, and Thapheth on the borders of Manasse [shall belong] to the sons of Ephraim.
9 फिर वहाँ से वह हद क़ानाह के नाले को उतर कर उसके दख्खिन की तरफ़ पहुँची, यह शहर जो मनस्सी के शहरों के बीच हैं इफ़्राईम के ठहरे और मनस्सी की हद उस नाले के उत्तर की तरफ़ से होकर समन्दर पर ख़त्म हुई।
And the borders shall go down to the valley of Carana southward by the valley of Jariel, ([there is] a turpentine tree [belonging] to Ephraim between [that and] the city of Manasse: ) and the borders of Manasse [are] northward to the brook; and the sea shall be its termination.
10 इसलिए दख्खिन की तरफ़ इफ़्राईम की और उत्तर की तरफ़ मनस्सी की मीरास पड़ी और उसकी सरहद समन्दर थी यूँ वह दोनों उत्तर की तरफ़ आशर से और पूरब की तरफ़ इश्कार से जा मिलीं।
Southward [the land belongs] to Ephraim, and northward to Manasse; and the sea shall be their cost; and northward they shall border upon Aseb, and eastward upon Issachar.
11 और इश्कार और आशर की हद में बैत शान और उसके क़स्बे और इबली'आम और उसके क़स्बे और अहल — ए — दोर और उसके क़स्बे और अहल — ए — 'ऐन दोर और उसके क़स्बे और अहल — ए — ता'नक और उसके क़स्बे और अहल — ए — मजिद्दो और उसके क़स्बे बल्कि तीनों मुर्तफ़ा' मक़ामात मनस्सी को मिले।
And Manasses shall have in [the portion of] Issachar and Aser Baethsan and their villages, and the inhabitants of Dor, and its villages, and the inhabitants of Mageddo, and its villages, and the third part of Mapheta, and its villages.
12 तो भी बनी मनस्सी उन शहरों के रहने वालों को निकाल न सके बल्कि उस मुल्क में कना'नी बसे ही रहे,
And the sons of Manasse were not able to destroy these cities; and the Chananite began to dwell in that land.
13 और जब बनी इस्राईल ताक़तवर हो गये तो उन्होंने कना'नियों से बेगार का काम लिया और उनको बिल्कुल निकाल बाहर न किया।
And it came to pass that when the children of Israel were strong, they made the Chananites subject, but they did not utterly destroy them.
14 बनी यूसुफ़ ने यशू'अ से कहा कि तूने क्यूँ पर्ची डालकर हम को सिर्फ़ एक ही हिस्सा मीरास के लिए दिया अगरचे हम बड़ी क़ौम हैं क्यूँकि ख़ुदावन्द ने हम को बरकत दी है?
And the sons of Joseph answered Joshua, saying, Therefore have you caused us to inherit one inheritance, and one line? whereas I am a great people, and God has blessed me.
15 यशू'अ ने उनको जवाब दिया कि अगर तुम बड़ी क़ौम हो तो जंगल में जाओ, और वहाँ फ़रिज़्ज़ीयों और रिफ़ाईम के मुल्क को अपने लिए काट कर साफ़ कर लो क्यूँकि इफ़्राईम का पहाड़ी मुल्क तुम्हारे लिए बहुत तंग है।
And Joshua said to them, If you be a great people, go up to the forest, and clear [the land] for yourself, If mount Ephraim be too little for you.
16 बनी यूसुफ़ ने कहा कि यह पहाड़ी मुल्क हमारे लिए काफ़ी नहीं है और सब कना'नियों के पास जो नशेब के मुल्क में रहते हैं या'नी वह जो बैत शान और उसके क़स्बों में और वह जो यज़र'एल की वादी में रहते हैं दोनों के पास लोहे के रथ हैं।
And they said, The mount of Ephraim does not please us, and the Chananite dwelling in it in Baethsan, and in its villages, [and] in the valley of Jezrael, has choice cavalry and iron.
17 यशू'अ ने बनी यूसुफ़ या'नी इफ़्राईम और मनस्सी से कहा कि तुम बड़ी क़ौम हो और बड़े ज़ोर रखते हो, इसलिए तुम्हारे लिए सिर्फ़ एक ही हिस्सा न होगा।
And Joshua said to the sons of Joseph, If you are a great people, and have great strength, you shall not have [only] one inheritance.
18 बल्कि यह पहाड़ी मुल्क भी तुम्हारा होगा क्यूँकि अगरचे वह जंगल है तुम उसे काट कर साफ़ कर डालना और उसके मख़ारिज भी तुम्हारे ही ठहरेंगे क्यूँकि तुम कना'नियों को निकाल दोगे अगरचे उनके पास लोहे के रथ हैं और वह ताक़तवर भी हैं।
For you shall have the wood, for there is a wood, and you shall clear it, and [the land] shall be your; even when you shall have utterly destroyed the Chananite, for he has chosen cavalry; yet you are stronger than he.
