1 मोआब के बारे में। रब्ब — उल — अफ़वाज, इस्राईल का ख़ुदा, यूँ फ़रमाता है कि: नबू पर अफ़सोस, कि वह वीरान हो गया! क़रयताइम रुस्वा हुआ, और ले लिया गया; मिसजाब ख़जिल और पस्त हो गया।
Concerning Moab. Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: Woe to Nebo, for it is laid waste! Kiriathaim is confounded, is taken. Misgab is confounded and dismayed.
2 अब मोआब की ता'रीफ़ न होगी। हस्बोन में उन्होंने यह कह कर उसके ख़िलाफ़ मंसूबे बाँधे हैं कि: 'आओ, हम उसे बर्बाद करें कि वह क़ौम न कहलाए, ऐ मदमेन तू भी काट डाला जाएगा; तलवार तेरा पीछा करेगी।
Moab shall no more glory in Heshbon; They have devised evil against her; “Come, [[say they, ]] and let us cut her off from being a nation!” Thou also shalt be cut down, O Madmena, The sword shall pursue thee!
3 'होरोनायिम में चीख़ पुकार, 'वीरानी और बड़ी तबाही होगी।
A cry is heard from Horonaim, Desolation and great destruction.
4 मोआब बर्बाद हुआ; उसके बच्चों के नौहे की आवाज़ सुनाई देती है।
Moab is destroyed; Her little ones raise a cry.
5 क्यूँकि लूहीत की चढ़ाई पर आह — ओ — नाला करते हुए चढ़ेंगे यक़ीनन होरोनायिम की उतराई पर मुख़ालिफ़ हलाकत के जैसी आवाज़ सुनते हैं।
At the ascent of Luhith Weeping goeth up after weeping; At the descent of Horonaim is heard a bitter cry of despair.
6 भागो! अपनी जान बचाओ! वीराने में रतमा के दरख़्त की तरह हो जाओ!
Flee ye! save your lives! Be ye like one that has been stripped in the wilderness!
7 और चूँकि तूने अपने कामों और ख़ज़ानों पर भरोसा किया इसलिए तू भी गिरफ़्तार होगा; और कमोस अपने काहिनों और हाकिम के साथ ग़ुलाम होकर जाएगा।
For, because thou hast trusted in thy substance and thy treasures, Thou also shalt be taken And Chemosh shall go into captivity, His priests and his princes together.
8 और ग़ारतगर हर एक शहर पर आएगा, और कोई शहर न बचेगा; वादी भी वीरान होगी, और मैदान उजाड़ हो जाएगा; जैसा ख़ुदावन्द ने फ़रमाया है।
The spoiler shall come upon every city, And no city shall escape. The valley shall perish, And the plain shall be destroyed, As Jehovah hath spoken.
9 मोआब को पर लगा दो, ताकि उड़ जाए क्यूँकि उसके शहर उजाड़ होंगे और उनमे कोई बसनेवाला न होगा।
Give wings to Moab, That she may flee away; For her cities shall be a desolation, With none to dwell therein.
10 जो ख़ुदावन्द का काम बेपरवाई से करता है, और जो अपनी तलवार को ख़ूँरेज़ी से बाज़ रखता है, मला'ऊन हो।
Cursed be he that doeth the work of Jehovah deceitfully, And cursed be he that keepeth back his sword from blood!
11 मोआब बचपन ही से आराम से रहा है, और उसकी तलछट तहनशीन रही, न वह एक बर्तन से दूसरे में उँडेला गया और न ग़ुलामी में गया; इसलिए उसका मज़ा उसमें क़ाईम है और उसकी बू नहीं बदली।
Moab hath been at ease from his youth, And he hath settled on his lees, And hath not been drawn off from vessel to vessel, Neither hath he gone into captivity; Therefore his taste hath remained in him, And his flavor hath not changed.
12 इसलिए देख, वह दिन आते हैं, ख़ुदावन्द फ़रमाता है, कि मैं उण्डेलने वालों को उसके पास भेजूँगा कि वह उसे उलटाएँ; और उसके बर्तनों को ख़ाली और मटकों को चकनाचूर करें।
Therefore, behold, the days come, saith Jehovah, That I will send to him tilters, who shall tilt him up, And shall empty his vessels, and break his pitchers in pieces.
13 तब मोआब कमोस से शर्मिन्दा होगा, जिस तरह इस्राईल का घराना बैतएल से जो उसका भरोसा था, ख़जिल हुआ।
And Moab shall be ashamed of Chemosh, As the house of Israel was ashamed of Bethel, their confidence.
14 तुम क्यूँकर कहते हो, कि 'हम पहलवान हैं और जंग के लिए ज़बरदस्त सूर्मा हैं'?
How will ye say, “We are mighty, And strong men for war”?
15 मोआब ग़ारत हुआ; उसके शहरों का धुवाँ उठ रहा है, और उसके चीदा जवान क़त्ल होने को उतर गए; वह बादशाह फ़रमाता है जिसका नाम रब्ब — उल — अफ़वाज है।
Moab is destroyed; His cities have gone up in smoke, And his chosen young men have gone down to slaughter, Saith the King whose name is Jehovah of hosts.
16 नज़दीक है कि मोआब पर आफ़त आए, और उनका वबाल दौड़ा आता है।
The destruction of Moab is near at hand; His destruction hasteth fast.
17 ऐ उसके आस — पास वालों, सब उस पर अफ़सोस करो; और तुम सब जो उसके नाम से वाक़िफ़ हो कहो कि यह मोटा 'असा और ख़ूबसूरत डंडा क्यूँकर टूट गया।
All ye that are about him, bemoan him! And all ye that know him, say, “How is the strong sceptre broken, The splendid staff!”
18 ऐ बेटी, जो दीबोन में बसती है! अपनी शौकत से नीचे उतर और प्यासी बैठ; क्यूँकि मोआब का ग़ारतगर तुझ पर चढ़ आया है और उसने तेरे क़िलों' को तोड़ डाला।
Come down from thy glory and sit in thirst, O inhabitant of Dibon! For the destroyer of Moab shall come against thee! He shall destroy thy strongholds. Stand by the wayside, and look out,
19 ऐ अरो'ईर की रहने वाली' तू राह पर खड़ी हो, और निगाह कर! भागने वाले से और उससे जो बच निकली हो; पूछ कि 'क्या माजरा है?'
O inhabitant of Aroer! Ask of him that fleeth, and of her that escapeth, And say, “What hath been done?”
20 मोआब रुस्वा हुआ, क्यूँकि वह पस्त कर दिया गया, तुम वावैला मचाओ और चिल्लाओ! अरनोन में इश्तिहार दो, कि मोआब ग़ारत हो गया।
Moab is confounded; for it is broken down; Howl ye, and cry! Tell ye it in Arnon, That Moab is destroyed!
21 और कि सहरा की अतराफ़ पर, होलून पर, और यहसाह पर, और मिफ़'अत पर,
And punishment hath come upon the plain country; Upon Holon, and upon Jahazah, and upon Mephaath,
22 और दीबोन पर, और नबू पर, और बैत — दिब्बलताइम पर,
And upon Dibon, and upon Nebo, and upon Beth-diblathaim.
23 और करयताइम पर, और बैत — जमूल पर, और बैत — म'ऊन पर,
And upon Kiriathaim, and upon Beth-gamul, and upon Beth-meon,
24 और करयोत पर, और बुसराह, और मुल्क — ए — मोआब के दूर — ओ — नज़दीक के सब शहरों पर 'ऐज़ाब नाज़िल हुआ है।
And upon Kerioth, and upon Bozrah, And upon all the cities of the land of Moab far and near.
25 मोआब का सींग काटा गया, और उसका बाज़ू तोड़ा गया, ख़ुदावन्द फ़रमाता है।
The horn of Moab is cut off, And his arm is broken, saith Jehovah.
26 तुम उसको मदहोश करो, क्यूँकि उसने अपने आपको ख़ुदावन्द के सामने बुलन्द किया; मोआब अपनी क़य में लोटेगा और मस्ख़रा बनेगा।
Make ye him drunken, for he hath exalted himself against Jehovah; That he also may wallow in his vomit, And be himself also in derision.
27 क्या इस्राईल तेरे आगे मस्ख़रा न था? क्या वह चोरों के बीच पाया गया कि जब कभी तू उसका नाम लेता था, तू सिर हिलाता था?
Was not Israel a derision to thee? Was he found among thieves, That, as often as thou spakest of him, thou shouldst shake thy head?
28 “ऐ मोआब के बाशिन्दों, शहरों को छोड़ दो और चट्टान पर जा बसो; और कबूतर की तरह बनो जो गहरे ग़ार के मुँह के किनारे पर आशियाना बनाता है।
Leave the cities and dwell in the rock, O inhabitants of Moab! Be like the dove, that maketh her nest in the sides of the mouth of the pit!
29 हम ने मोआब का तकब्बुर सुना है, वह बहुत मग़रूर है, उसकी गुस्ताख़ी भी, और उसकी शेख़ी और उसका ग़ुरूर और उसके दिल का तकब्बुर
We have heard of the pride of Moab; He hath been exceeding proud; His loftiness and his arrogance, His pride and the haughtiness of his heart.
30 मैं उसका क़हर जानता हूँ, ख़ुदावन्द फ़रमाता है; वह कुछ नहीं और उसकी शेख़ी से कुछ बन न पड़ा।
I, too, know his insolence, saith Jehovah, And his vain boastings. They shall effect nothing.
31 इसलिए मैं मोआब के लिए वावैला करूँगा; हाँ, सारे मोआब के लिए मैं ज़ार — ज़ार रोऊँगा; कोर हरस के लोगों के लिए मातम किया जाएगा।
Therefore will I wail for Moab, Even for all Moab will I cry out; For the men of Kir-heres shall there be mourning.
32 ऐ सिबमाह की ताक, मैं या'ज़ेर के रोने से ज़्यादा तेरे लिए रोऊँगा; तेरी शाख़ें समन्दर तक फैल गईं, वह या'ज़ेर के समन्दर तक पहुँच गईं, ग़ारतगर तेरे ताबिस्तानी मेवों पर और तेरे अंगूरों पर आ पड़ा है
More than Jazer will I weep for thee, O vine of Sibmah! Thy branches have passed beyond the sea; They reach even to the sea of Jazer; Upon thy summer-fruits and thy vintage the spoiler falleth.
33 ख़ुशी और शादमानी हरे भरे खेतों से और मोआब के मुल्क से उठा ली गई; और मैंने अंगूर के हौज़ में मय बाक़ी नहीं छोड़ी, अब कोई ललकार कर न लताड़ेगा; उनका ललकारना, ललकारना न होगा।
And joy and gladness are taken away from the fruitful field; And from the land of Moab, And from the presses, have I caused the wine to fail: No more shall they tread with shouting; The shouting shall be no shouting.
34 'हस्बोन के रोने से वह अपनी आवाज़ को इली'आली और यहज़ तक और ज़ुग़र से होरोनायिम तक 'इजलत शलीशियाह तक बुलन्द करते हैं; क्यूँकि नमरियम के चश्मे भी ख़राब हो गए हैं।
From wailing Heshbon to Elealeh, Even to Jahaz, is their voice heard, From Zoar even to Horonaim, To Eglath-shelishijah; For even the waters of Nimrim are desolate.
35 और ख़ुदावन्द फ़रमाता है, कि जो कोई ऊँचे मक़ाम पर क़ुर्बानी चढ़ाता है, और जो कोई अपने मा'बूदों के आगे ख़ुशबू जलाता है, मोआब में से हलाक कर दूँगा।
And I will cause to cease in Moab, saith Jehovah, Him that offereth in the high places, And him that burneth incense to his gods.
36 इसलिए मेरा दिल मोआब के लिए बाँसरी की तरह आहें भरता, और क़ीर हरस के लोगों के लिए शहनाओं की तरह फुग़ान करता है, क्यूँकि उसका फ़िरावान ज़ख़ीरा तलफ़ हो गया।
Therefore doth my heart sound like a flute for Moab, And for the men of Ker-heres doth my heart sound like a flute; For the remnant of their substance is perished.
37 हक़ीक़त में हर एक सिर मुंडा है, और हर एक दाढ़ी कतरी गई; हर एक के हाथ पर ज़ख्म है और हर एक की कमर पर टाट।
Every head is bald, And every beard shorn; Upon all hands are cutting, And upon the loins sackcloth.
38 मोआब के सब घरों की छतों पर और उसके सब बाज़ारों में बड़ा मातम होगा, क्यूँकि मैंने मोआब को उस बर्तन की तरह जो पसन्द न आए तोड़ा है, ख़ुदावन्द फ़रमाता है।
Upon all the house-tops of Moab, and in her streets, All is lamentation. For I have broken Moab, like a useless vessel, saith Jehovah.
39 वह वावैला करेंगे और कहेंगे, कि उसने कैसी शिकस्त खाई है! मोआब ने शर्म के मारे क्यूँकर अपनी पीठ फेरी! तब मोआब सब आस — पास वालों के लिए हँसी और ख़ौफ़ का ज़रिया' होगा।”
Howl ye! How is he broken down! How hath Moab turned the back with shame! A derision and a consternation is Moab To all that are round him.
40 क्यूँकि ख़ुदावन्द यूँ फ़रमाता है कि देख, वह 'उक़ाब की तरह उड़ेगा और मोआब के ख़िलाफ़ बाज़ू फैलाएगा।
For thus saith Jehovah: Behold, like an eagle flieth an enemy, And spreadeth his wings over Moab.
41 वहाँ के शहर और क़िले' ले लिए जायेंगे और उस दिन मोआब के बहादुरों के दिल ज़च्चा के दिल की तरह होंगे।
Kerioth is taken, And the strongholds are seized; The hearts of the heroes of Moab in that day Shall be like the heart of a woman in her pangs.
42 और मोआब हलाक किया जाएगा और क़ौम न कहलाएगा, इसलिए कि उसने ख़ुदावन्द के सामने अपने आपको बुलन्द किया।
And Moab shall be destroyed so as to be no more a people, Because he exalted himself against Jehovah.
43 ख़ौफ़ और गढ़ा और दाम तुझ पर मुसल्लत होंगे, ऐ साकिन — ए — मोआब, ख़ुदावन्द फ़रमाता है।
Terror and the pit and the snare are upon thee, O inhabitant of Moab, saith Jehovah.
44 जो कोई दहशत से भागे, गढ़े में गिरेगा, और जो गढ़े से निकले, दाम में फँसेगा; क्यूँकि मैं उन पर, हाँ, मोआब पर उनकी सियासत का बरस लाऊँगा, ख़ुदावन्द फ़रमाता है।
He that fleeth from the terror shall fall into the pit, And he that getteth up out of the pit shall be taken in the snare; For I will bring upon it, upon Moab, The year of their punishment, saith Jehovah.
45 “जो भागे, इसलिए हस्बोन के साये तले बेताब खड़े हैं; लेकिन हस्बोन से आग और सीहोन के वस्त से एक शो'ला निकलेगा और मोआब की दाढ़ी के कोने को और हर एक फ़सादी की चाँद को खा जाएगा।
In the valley of Heshbon the fugitives halted for want of strength; But a fire is gone forth from Heshbon, And a flame from the midst of Sihon, Which devoureth the region of Moab, And the heads of the sons of tumult.
46 हाय, तुझ पर ऐ मोआब! कमोस के लोग हलाक हुए, क्यूँकि तेरे बेटों को ग़ुलाम करके ले गए और तेरी बेटियाँ भी ग़ुलाम हुईं।
Woe to thee, O Moab! Undone is the people of Chemosh! For thy sons are taken captives, And thy daughters are captives.
47 बावजूद इसके मैं आख़री दिनों में मोआब के ग़ुलामों को वापस लाऊँगा, ख़ुदावन्द फ़रमाता है।” मोआब की 'अदालत यहाँ तक हुई।
Yet will I bring back the captivity of Moab In future times, saith Jehovah. Thus far the judgment of Moab.
